We happened upon this place for a late lunch and some drinks. My husband ordered a beer, and I chose Chardonnay. My wine arrives in a plastic cup, but given the size of the pour, I am not complaining. Initially, we both ordered the crab cake sandwich. Hubs chose slaw, and I chose homemade potato chips. Then, I got to thinking. I had hash browns and a biscuit for breakfast and don’t really want more potatoes and bread. No problem. My server changed my order to salad with a crabcake just like that. The salad was fresh, loaded with veggies, and featured just enough blue cheese dressing. The crab cake itself was ok, but, dear reader, you must realize that I hold all crab cakes to ones prepared by Charleston House On The Plaza, which was in Charlotte no less. Sadly, they are no longer in business. My husband loved the sports focus and was able to catch a football game that he was interested in. I will say that we had a touchdown experience!

Cheap beer and short walk from the beach. Friendly crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. Just had fries, decent for a sports bar.

Hah my husband would give them a 1 if he could just because of the scene we experienced there around 10PM on a Saturday night. The place was literally all men. I think I saw 2 other girls and about 100 guys. It was insanity. I liked the place because it was more sleek looking than the other beach bars but the drinks were also much more expensive.

They had good service and were family friendly. Five dollar pitchers of PBR were a good deal as well.

Get a few red stripes and the chips and gauc. The chips are freaking amazing! Nice and warm and the gauc is on point too. Nice lil stop and eat & drink, as well as a well known local hang out. :P

Came here after the beach with my girlfriend on our trip to Wilmington. The place is a beach bar. You go there for a couple beers after a day at the beach and that’s pretty much it. The beers were cheap. I opted for a few 2 $ drafts of Guinness. Not the best pour I’ve ever seen. But it did the job and we both seemed to enjoy it. If I’m at Wrightsville Beach I will be back.

Food is good and the deals are great, but I have never witnessed worse service in my life. Had to ask the bus boy to grab someone to take our order, then our waitress tried to leave twice before finishing my groups order. Literally, took two of our orders and started walking off, we had to call her back to finish taking everyone’s order… Unbelievable! Started ordering pitchers in bulk just because we knew we wouldn’t see our waitress again for a very long time. I don’t know what management is doing with servers like those unless shitty service is just part of their branding.

I did not have the food here, so I can’t comment on that, but the service at this place is just absolutely atrocious to the point of downright unacceptable. Definitely not a place to take your kids or your parents to. I walked in here with a group of friends around 5:00PM. The place was reasonably packed, but not to the point that with 5 staff members, no one could even bother to acknowledge us. For about five minutes, we walked back and forth across the venue looking for someone to serve us. I, along with the other guy in my group, finally walked to the bar and asked the head bartender if we could place our orders. She just shot us a glance and said«okay» and turned away from us. We then watched a couple walk in and sit in front of her; she then proceeded to chat them up, take their drink orders, and make their drinks right in front of us without any second thoughts. We just walked out the door.

I took my good to go, but I paid over 10 bucks for an overly simple meal. I don’t think it was worth it.

Came here on a Thursday night to watch the Wings beat the Blackhawks and they set us up in the corner with a few TVs. It was dollar domestic bottles so you can’t beat that. It got Broey towards the end of the night and filled with barely legals but I can’t complain about the view.

«Went there on Good Friday at 2:00 pm. Lots of people in there. All ages from kids to Grandparents. Recently this winter, the porch was completely redone and looks more appealing, but from the outside you cant see how pleasant it is on the inside. Maybe redone on the inside too? Not sure, never been been before. Great things on the menu and burgers are good and fresh made. Fries are good but probably from Cisco. Tons of flat screens for any games you want to watch. X box and controllers too. 2 Bars are nice too. We would definitely go back!

Best veggie wrap I’ve ever had. Wish I could come back for more. Service was not amazing, but the food certainly made up for it.

Not sure why everyone is knocking jerry’s. Its a beach bar, don’t expect 5 star dining, go to 22 and pay $ 20 a meal if you want that. Its bar food, and not bad. The drink specials are good, the bartenders are awesome, ad the atmosphere is always energetic.

I really hate to knock a place that does have good food based on their service, but I’ve been there twice and both times service was less than speedy with the second time being near to the point of rude. My burger topped with chili was outstanding. The fries were average. I believe the trouble came into play because the place was packed. When we sat down a server took our drinks orders and disappeared. The drinks were not delivered in a timely fashion and a second server appeared at our table asking what we’d like. We advised that another young woman had taken our beverage order and the gal seemed somewhat taken aback. Basically the whole time we were there we got the impression that since both of them assisted us at some point that because the didn’t want to share the tip, they would each just pretend we didn’t exist and wait for the other to help us out. This resulted in empty drinks for almost the entire duration of our meals that never did get refilled. On top of the 40 minutes it took for our three burgers and fries to be delivered to the table. I’m sure at some point I’ll be in that area and probably give it another shot, but maybe at a time when I’m not on the meter so I don’t have to pay for parking while the gals duke it out over who has to wait on us.

Jerry Allen’s is your basic local beach bar, full of kids that look like they just stepped out of an American Eagle catalog mingling with older«local color.» Local color means old drunk guys that have a lot to say, even if you can’t really understand what they’re talking about, but they’re very friendly. Nice people at Jerry Allen’s though, the kind of unpretenious people that say hello to you at the bar and ask you how you’re doing and if you’re from around there. Loud music, smoking(weird after living in clean air California), laughter, the occasional basket of french fries, and cheap drinks adds up to a good time.
