History

Established in 2008.

Brother and Sister team developed EVO Dining out of the original little café that was attached to the Living Earth known as the Sano Café. They took over half the floor space of the Living Earth to build the place where we spend most of our days and nights preparing only the finest all natural meals in the city.

Cooking Philosophy:

«Cooking is an art. Recipes are great guidelines for us to follow, but a true chef follows his heart, stomach and tongue.»

Voted Worcester’s Best Chef 2013

Born and raised in Central MA, Chef Al Maykel spent his early years watching his mother create elaborate, delicious home cooked meals in her kitchen. He developed an appreciation early on for the flavors and cooking techniques unique to various international cuisines, igniting his culinary career.

After years of working in some impressive kitchens including Worcester Country Club, Pearl Oyster, and Tatnuck Country Club, he would take the helm of culinary operations in his own restaurant, opening the doors of EVO Dining in 2008 with sibling and Co– Owner, Celeste Zack.

His menu at EVO is accessible and fresh, featuring an array of inventive dishes pleasing the diverse clientele they serve. While his guests enjoy a stellar menu in– house, his true talents are best reflected when cooking for private dinner eng
