Recently had an alarm installed in a Toyota with a smart key system, I asked Jeremy if it could be installed to operate off the smart key and he checked with Stefan one of the installers and he said yes, after getting home the alarm was going off by itself every thirty minutes… took it back and Jeremy and the guys were on it, I told them lets forget the smart key and wire the alarm as stand alone, they said no we are going to figure it and make it right they installed a relay and had it fixed in no time, this is truly exceptional customer service instead of taking the easy route they went the extra mile, troubleshot it and made it right

This business is the best! I had a bluetooth radio installed in my car and it was an extremely easy process. I realized that the radio did not have a «light color change» setting and I called Jeremy and asked if I could have the BT radio swapped for one that had that specific setting. He happily agreed to change it for me!
Not only does this business do an AMAZING job, they also have the best customer service. I will be recommending Safe & Sound Design to all of my friends who are in need of this type of service!!!

This business is absolutely amazing. Jeremy is very personable, straight forward, and honest which makes the experience a very good one! Safe & Sound Design installed a Kenwood DDX-​6902s into my 2013 Prius v which also supports Apple’s CarPlay. This replaced the horrific stock Toyota Entune System that would constantly freeze up to the point I have to restart my car.

I just purchased a 02 Mercedes E320 Wagon and wanted to upgrade the factory stereo so I can listen to music via Bluetooth from my phone. I used to live in the South Bay and have had other stereo shops work on my older Mercedes and they always made some type of mistake with wiring and not paying attention to detail. With older cars it’s very important that who ever is working on your car pays attention to detail and treat the car is if it was their own. I now live in Van Nuys and did a ton of research and found «Safe & Sound Design». The one think that I liked the most was that the owner responds to all type of criticism and really appreciates what his customers have to say. I went in this Saturday and spoke to Jeremy and told him what I was looking for and also advised the importance of making sure that my center console that is somewhat wooden and old doesn’t get damaged. He understood my concern and advised that if for whatever reason he thought it may be a problem, he will let me know. Had to leave my car over the weekend to be done my Monday. The best part about everything is that the installation was done perfectly with no wiring issues at all, I now have Bluetooth that actually works and doesn’t sound distorted, my stock Bose speakers sound better than before and the biggest thing was that Jeremy advised that there was a part that he did not need to use and charged me less than I was originally quoted!!! I would’ve never known if that part was needed or not but the fact that he was honest speaks for itself! Thanks Jeremy for the quality work and your honesty, you have earned my business for life!

Wonderful Experience! Found this shop from Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. I had a problem with one of the aftermarket door locks on my 1979 Porsche. Jeremy, the owner thought it may be a bad motor. They took me in on the same day and Stephen immediately started to work on the car. Within a short time he came to the conclusion that my motor was bad. Not only did they have a replacement in stock (other shops said they would have to order one and replace at another appointment, but the speaker on this door was also not working. He found that the problem was a loose connection, but after correcting this the speaker was still not operating correctly. Within a few minutes he found a broken wire in my cross-​over. Without my asking he removed it, took it to his workbench, re-​soldered the broken wire, and now it is working perfectly. While the fix was relatively simple, I have found it highly unusual for a repair to be suggested instead of trying to automatically sell you a new part. To me this is what good customer service is all about, and not just trying to sell. The whole repair took less than an hour and with the part (lock motor) and labor ran $ 150.00 which I felt was extremely reasonable.
Needless to say I will be taking all of my future business to this shop, and I feel that you will be as satisfied as I was if you do the same.

These guys are the best. Seriously. I wanted to install a subwoofer into my Jeep. Some models came with a center console arm rest with the sub built right in. Mine didn’t. So, I had to buy the console, and a new subwoofer. The problem was, the new speaker didn’t fit the old enclosure, and I had no idea how to properly secure the console into the Jeep. These guys handled EVERYTHING. They were able to modify everything to work perfectly. They even re-​wired my head unit because the last guys installed it completely out of phase. The sound is AMAZING. They spent extra time making sure everything looked and sounded great. I even tried to tip one of the guys, and he refused. Genuinely good people, with an amazing show room and work ethic. They were working on a Bentley and a Rolls Royce when I arrived and they didn’t make me feel less important with my rickety old Jeep. Can’t recommend them enough! USE THESE GUYS.

Everything you want when you drop off a new car. Had a back up camera installed in my Porsche Cayman. When I picked up the car, there was no evidence that it was even touched.
Jeremy knows his stuff and pays close attention to detail.

I had my previous sound system since 2008, and just a few weeks ago while I was driving my music just shut off. While looking for a good place to bring my car in to see what was going on, I found that Safe and Sound had the best reviews for their service. I called them and left a message, Jeremy the owner called back a few minutes later. He was real helpful from the start. I brought my car in and they found out what the problem was right away. I’ve been meaning to upgrade my equipment for a while now and decided that it was time. I’m glad I came across Safe and Sound. Jeremy went through all my options with me and hooked my car up real nice. Their service is top notch and they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with the product. Now my car sounds better than before all thanks to Safe and Sound. I definitely recommend them and trust that they will take good care of you. Went by today to swap out some bulbs. Love that they don’t make me feel like a «chick» at a BIG BOY shop! Stroller and all with a ballerina in training, we dropped off our beauty only to return to one amazingly gorgeous girl waiting for her mama! In so glad we found this gem of a shop! Safe and Sound is the number one auto restoring business there is in LA. Jeremy and his whole crew are the number one! They are very reliable and do the most prestigious work very carefully. Products they use are very high quality and great customer service. You are guaranteed to leave satisfied. I was sent to Safe & Sound by Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood when the deal I worked out on my new 2015 Mustang GT involved having my wheels powder coated black. Called Jeremy at S&S D and made an appointment to drop off my wheels. I arrived and Jeremy greeted me and once they cleared one car out of the spotless shop they moved mine right in. I was not sure how they were going to make the wheel exchange, but they had a set of Mustang wheels with tires all ready to loan me so I could continue to drive the car while waiting for the wheels! Jeremy made sure of what finish I wanted on the wheels and said it would be 3 to 4 days. He tried to get them done before the weekend, but due to the Memorial Day weekend they were not back. He called us and apologized (Not his fault) and said they would be there Tuesday morning for sure. Right on time he called and I drove to pick them up. WOW what a great job they did on the wheels! Even though they themselves did not coat them they have an excellent source. The wheels were exchanged promptly and I was back on the road in minutes! We discussed doing some custom work on the Mustang and my X-​Terra in the future and will definitely use them again!

When I arrived to talk to Jeremy in person (which by the way, is right around the corner from my daughter’s dance school) I felt that this was the shop i will hire to perform the work for my our truck.
All the parts I ordered came in on Thursday and after dropping off the truck and all the parts ordered, we picked up the truck from S&SD on Friday evening. To say that my fiancé fell in love with the truck is an understatement.

Amazing place! Their shop looks like it should be on a TV show with custom hot rods and classic cars.
My husband went to Jeramy to fix his glitchy satellite radio that was installed by a different company. He walked right in with no appointment and Jeramy was able to fit him into the schedule. The problem turned out to be very complex but the technician methodically diagnosed and professionally repaired the system. My husband said the tech was a genius!!! It turned out that the technician is also famous for his ability to fabricate unique car interiors.
Besides auto sound and fabrication, The company also does decal printing and application. My husband did not use these services. My husband heard about the company but did not notice he 10%off offer. Maybe Jeremy could have mentioned this?
All in all it was terrific experience and we will never go to any other auto sound company.

I keep my cars a long time and In the years since I bought mine a lot has changed so it was time for an upgrade. After research, reading reviews and doing some price comparisons I wound up at Safe & Sound.
What a relief that I found these guys. From the minute I walked in the door I had the confidence that they knew what they were doing. Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable and, I later found out, patient and a good instructor. He listened to what I wanted to do and selected a unit for me that was ideal for my needs. While he mentioned a couple of options as well he was clear that his recommendation would give me what I wanted without a lot of unneeded extras.
The combination audio/​phone device they installed looks like the car was built around it. It’s perfect for my vehicle and the factory speakers and amplifier never sounded this good. The installers were meticulous and neat — there’s a backup camera now connected to my audio system’s screen and it’s aimed perfectly and works like it was part of the car when I bought it. Their pricing was fair — better than most other places I checked, in fact — and I felt like I had gotten real value for my money.
I’m pretty critical when experiences don’t live up to my expectations (see my other reviews) but really appreciate when businesses and their employees go the extra mile to exceed them. Safe & Sound did and I will recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Was installing an aftermarket Bluetooth in my BMW, when I ran into a snag. The speakers wouldn’t function because of the factory installed iPod link. I called S&S and Jeremy told me to bring it by and he’d look at it. He had the car dash apart and the iPod disconnected within 15 minutes. I asked him what the charge was, he said «nothing». Wouldn’t even take a tip.
These are the same guys that did an excellent job installing Bluetooth in my girl’s Saab a while back. I will be taking my other car there soon for the same treatment. I highly recommend these guys!

Been going to these guys for years, and probably brought 4 – 5 of my different cars here! Humble and professional, they get tje job done quickly and efficiently, and never try to sell me more than meets my needs!
