Wonderful branch library. Due to a robust friends group, they offer the «hot off the press» bestseller program so patrons can check out up to 2 bestsellers for a one week period with no renewals or holds. The staff are quite friendly. Thanks also to the friends group there is a bookstore with very reasonable prices on a great selection of books. Of course your tax dollars support LAPL, but you can specifically support this branch for only $ 10 a year. Needless to say I am grateful to have such a great place nearby.

I’m usually not sensitive to temperature and I rarely include it in any of my reviews but it is freeeeeezing here!!! It’s almost unbearable. I’m wearing leggings, thong sandals and a hooded sweatshirt and the weather was in the mid 80s most of the day. The hospital I work at is warmer than this library. I will change my review if I come back and it’s at a more reasonable temperature. Otherwise this library is kind of loud for a library. I really wanted to study for an exam so luckily I brought my ear plugs. If I didn’t bring my ear plugs I would have left right away because everyone talks here.

As library’s go, this one is quiet. There’s even a bookstore with good quality used books at unbelievably low prices. The wifi is free, the librarians are helpful and the air conditioning is welcomed!
Only downside is during peak after school hours the parking lot can fill up. Street parking is available, though.

The Platt is a very nice and clean library. it’s very spacious and has many comfy seats and tables to study or relax with a good book. Also, there’s free WIFI!

I called and talked to them to hold a book. They were kind and friendly. They put the book on hold and I came in later in the day to pick it up. As expected it was there. Do recommend this place. Clean bathrooms. Clean library. Good staff. Good patrons.

We used to go every Monday to visit «grandma Judy» for storytime. She is a great lady who loves to read to all the little ones. They now changed the day to Wednesday which makes it a little tougher for us, but we still try to see her once in awhile.

Hey this is a good library ok. Its clean and very modern. I use to come here all the time after school from El Camino or my brothers from Taft. Ok so the downside is this place can get kid crowded after school is out but otherwise it is a very well organized and clean library. They have computers to login to and use. They have multiple help desks with most the of the people here being very friendly. They have or had a self checkout machine.
They let you rent out movies, cds and dvds. Comic books.
They also have a conference hall for events. Not bad right.

This LAPL branch is markedly smaller than its brethren, which I kind of like. There are as many books as there are at other locations, but less floor space. Ergo, it is noticeably homier than some other branches, which I like.
The Woodland Hills branch also has the biggest classics section of any LAPL branch I’ve been to, save for the Central Library. That’s pretty sweet.
Three and a half/​four stars, rounded to four because it’s across the street from Baskin-​Robbins.

This is so NOT COOL. I thought I would go here to meet some really top notch intelligent people. But the only thing I found out that this place is really a taxpayer-​sponsored daycare for toddlers. And the old librarians are looking for someone to chat up a storm with at their boring posts. Just a warning: stay away from Grandma, unless you want to hear stories about the WWII. This place got no swing. P. S. Parking sucks asssssss
