M.O. Kids, LLC

Mala who owns this company and Kristen who works for her in SF are wonderful, and patient people that really know their business. I am proud to try to get my kids noticed in auditions. It is fun, and hopefully I will continue to learn a lot. Thanks Mala and Kristen

This is a review for M. O Artist Agency that is connected to M. O Kids in Sf.
Originally when I Submitted for this agency, I was submitting for M.O. Kids San Francisco. I got into this agency and filled out a contract and paperwork and everything and sent it to Mala.
My first problem with this agency is the lack of communication to the SF talent. I was apart of the MO Kids LA Facebook group and there was no separate group for the Sf talent and communicating when we needed to have things in. I felt as if the SF talent was invisible to this agency.
I was very knew to this whole industry and trying to figure out all the work permit and coogan account things were hard. I was told that I needed to get a coogan account. I called my local banks and none of them had heard of it so mala advised me to call the SAG bank in LA. The SAG bank said I could set up an account with them if I got a letterhead from my agency saying that I am legit and with the agency and send my paper work to them with the letterhead. I emailed Mala and got no answer. And then emailed again and still got no answer and no letterhead.
While they were adding MO Kids to Sf I was then told there would be no Mo kids Sf but only MO artist agency. My SF agent was okay. She replied to my emails thankfully. They then proceeded to tell me I had to sign up for an agency pad account. With me being 16 and new to this industry I had no clue what that was. I was waiting to get paid from my job to get the account because it was 50 $ a month And when I finally had enough money to get one I needed information on where to get one. I emailed asking about the agency pad and got no response.
I had high hopes for this agency but I only got one audition with them within the year I was with them. I got more 2 other auditions and jobs by just submitting myself to projects.
I know they don’t like it when you send More then one email but it would be nice if they
actually answered the first email sent so you wouldn’t have to send another.
I hope they can improve there SF location because I know that the LA one is great.

Very disloyal company. I have devoted about a year to M. O kids and have never missed the few auditions we were sent to. I have received countless e-​mails from the owner Mala Lemnah, about how important for her company’s name is our attendance and I understand that and was very on top of our work together. Again, my son and I have never missed or ever been late to an audition. We live in Orange county, all calls were in LA.
For about 11 months, she asked us to go to only 4 auditions. It seemed to me that Mala liked parents to use the few photographers she constantly promoted on her Facebook page. I couldn’t afford them, and not only that. I had an amazing pictures done by a professional photographer who worked with our budget
Anyway, I have received this e-​mail from Mala Lemnah:
Thank you for allowing us to submit your child but at this time we must release your child.
Effective immediately, we will release your child from LA casting. If you can release us from the other 3 sites that would be great.

Everyone can decide for themselves, but this e-​mail was very disloyal for the 11 months commitment we have putted in.

I have no complaints about this agency! My son has been with them for a year and we have been very busy. I do like that you can email, call the agent and get answers fast! Great place to get your kids going!
