Jessie’s Party Animals

Very poor customer service! My daughter called to find out the price for renting a pony for her daughter’s birthday party and they asked her what the other quote was. My daughter told her $ 400.00 and the lady said that was a «steal». First, I don’t understand why you are asking what other quotes are, just give the answer for what you charge, which obviously must be more expensive.

Disclaimer: I never actually got a chance to rent from Jessie.
I decided to leave such a low review because of the extreme lack of customer service I received when trying to book.
I called over a 4 day span just to get a question in since her web site wasn’t able to answer it.
On the 4^th day I was actually able to get an response other than, «can I call you later» «can you text me in a few hours» etc…
This happened for 3 days before she actually answered a question about pricing for me.
I wish she would of took the literal minute it took on the first day that way I would of not wasted my time. 3x as much as Blue Hill Farms.
A chicken is a chicken, paying an extra 400 to pet one is ridiculous.

Reviews are meant to be non-​emotionally based evaluations. Jessie has it perfected. She’s a simple girl, with very well kept animals, a love for who she cares for (her babies), and a knack for getting things done. I called her the day before my daughters 4^th birthday party, (yes, I said DAY BEFORE!!!), and she couldn’t have made my life simpler. There was no fuss, no lengthy contract and terms, and no concern that this wouldn’t be a hit. She needed to know some details, of which I provided and she assured me she would be there. SIMPLE. She showed up the next day EARLY, with two beautiful ponies for my daughters FIESTA party, that she was even willing to put in costume to match the theme, and engaged with and entertained my guests for longer than we had even discussed.
5 STARS… not just because I’m happy, my daughter was ecstatic, but because Jessie knows what she’s doing and she’s doing it well.

Very unprofessional company. Doesnt talk nicely on the phone when I was trying to get a quote. Was getting easily frustrated with me. I just wanted to know the different options and prices, and I am sorry I didnt memorize your website first before I called. I am very sorry I called in the first place. I just wanted to have some ponies over for a friend’s birthday party, but I guess I will be looking elsewhere. To bad. Pictured looked nice on the website, what ashame. :(

I’ve used Jessie for two of our events and I wouldn’t work with anyone else. As an animal lover, I have to work with a company whose animals are loved and treated properly. Jessie’s animals are always happy, clean and well fed. She is careful that they are not worked too hard and I appreciate that. The children at our events always enjoy themselves and Jessie’s animals are a huge part of that experience.
If you want to wok with a top-​notch animal handler and her zoo, I highly recommend Jessie!

I originally booked with «The epic catering company» to have a petting zoo for my daughters 5^th birthday. I booked a month in advance and gave them a deposit. The day of my daughters party I called the company and no answer. I kept calling and calling and finally someone answered and said they couldn’t talk. I frantically jumped online and found Jessies Party Animals 1 hour before my daughters party. Jessie was SO nice and SO helpful and they were able to get the petting zoo booked last minute. The animals were cute and friendly and my daughter loved the Pony. The workers were courteous and even cleaned up really well when they left. I would definitely recommend Jessica Party Animals to everyone! They truly saved my Daughters party!

This is the first time I have used Jessie’s Party Animals. We decided to have a pony at the party. Jessie is a amazing animal lover. You can feel her passion for her animals. The pony was perfectly clean, very well behaved, and this care could be seen with the kids as well. I have been to other parties that have ponies and have hosted parties with animals as well, and this by far was my best experience. There were several parents that went up to her during the party and wanting to use her for future parties, or riding lessons. Jessie is very professional, cared for children, great person, and most importantly you could see her love for her animals which was infectious to the kids. It was a amazing experience, which we will use again.

BAD SIDE:
–Didn’t pay attention to how venue was described therefore came unprepared (Canvass for petting zoo too small, «didn’t know» about concrete for pony walk area, etc.)
–She could be quite RUDE to guests. She is also rude to her own staff!
–Several times the pony was taken away from the kids and back to the trailer for several reasons including «it’s too hot» (Wait, your pony doesn’t like the sun?)
— Had to turn music down several times and people not allowed to gather around the pony because it’s «spooking» the pony. First, the music wasn’t even that loud, it was a small gathering. Second, why let people pay for and rent a pony for what you know is a social function with lots of people and music if you don’t like to expose the animal to this scenario? Don’t ponies and horses go on parades where there’s lots of noisy people?
–When owner doesn’t like something she would say/​yell «READ THE CONTRACT» of course after contract was electronically signed during reservation, you don’t get a copy of it. In the end, she has full control of everything and you have no choice but to do as she says because she will not give you what you paid for as she pulls out her «contract» card. We ended up literally BEGGING her not to take the pony away.
–Charged an extra $ 25 for something that wasn’t disclosed earlier even after multiple confirmation of the «remaining balance».
GOOD SIDE:
–They made sure the kids had fun.
–They assisted the kids and walked them around with the pony even when it was very hot.
–The animals are clean and really adorable.
The items on «Good Side» above are the only reasons why I’m not giving them a single star. My advise for potential customers, just get the petting zoo, don’t rent her pony and make sure she reads and understands your emails.

To summarize, she was late, rude to not only me but also my guests, neglected to take in to account relevant info about our home, over charged me for a pony that could not perform, spent more time telling us how famous her animals are with there appearances in vogue and Lady Gaga videos than paying attention to the animals interaction with guests causing a friends dress to be damaged and stated she was going to fire her helper for his part in the dress eating incident. Her animals were sweet and the kids enjoyed but I would not hire her again.

We booked Jessie’s party animals several months in advance for my daughters 3^rd birthday party. I called to confirm the day before as asked and reminded Jessie of the party time, she seemed surprised when I asked her to arrive 30 mins prior… something we had discussed previously.
She arrived 5 minutes before the party was to start and that was only the beginning of mishaps. upon arrival there were no apologies for arriving late. In our first conversation I explained to Jessie that our house is on a hillside and we have a steep driveway, she assured me this would not be a problem. not the case upon arrival.
First off she was rude to me! Not something I need on my daughters birthday. Any other day I would have lost it on her. I was told that even though I had booked a pony for pony rides, the pony would not be able to make it up our driveway. She immediately asked to be paid in cash, I had planned on writing a check but ok, and charged me for the pony that could not make it up the drive stating that there is an additional charge for setting up the animals more than 50 ft from where she could park. Supposedly all this is in the multi page contract that I signed. She suggested that the 3 year olds attending our party should cross our street, the speed limit is 35 mph. not something I was comfortable with.
She set up the «zoo» with the help of my daughter then immediately needed assistance to move to a different location as she only brought 1 guy with her.
After moving the zoo things seemed to run smoothly, though I must admit I was distracted by other details of the party. I was told that she was rude to my guests.
All went well until my girlfriend took her son in to visit the animals and had her dress chewed on by a goat! Since there were only 2 children in the zoo area at a time I am surprised that her helper neglected to mention to a lady wearing a dress to be careful, but things happen. At first Jessie was very defensive saying that my friend should have known better but later offered to take the dress to her tailor for repair.
As the party wrapped I thanked her (not really sure why) and said that the animals were a big hit. Then I mentioned it was nice of her to offer a tailor but the whole thing could have been avoided had closer attention been paid to the animals interaction with guests. She promptly told me that she was firing her helper! I said that was not necessary and asked her not to.

we booked jessie’s petting zoo for our baby girl’s one year birthday party. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! super fun and memorable, which is exactly what we had hoped for! she showed up early and everyone had such a blast!!! pinky the pig was the star of the day but all of them were adorable!!! there were chickens, bunnies, ducks, rambunctious goats :) and a baby lamb!!! adults and kids alike were enamored! zana was running the petting zoo and she was super polite and careful with the kids and animals, ready with a bottle of purell as you exited the pen. the animals all looked happy and healthy, and were very clean. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! next time, we will add in the pony rides! THANK YOU JESSIE!

Jessie was amazing! She graciously worked with our fundraising event. The animal were a hit with everyone young and old. She was professional and easy to work with.
The animal were gentle and perfect for kids of any age.

We had a farm themed birthday party for my three year old son and rented a petting zoo from Jessie ‘s. They arrived on time, set up and cleaned up nicely, and had the cutest animals ever! My favorite was the miniature pig. The animal handlers were courteous and the animals were very clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend them !!

Awesome! This is what our school, Westchester Lutheran, thinks of Jessie and her adorable animals. When I inquired via email about having pigs for our Charlotte’s Web Farm Day, it was Jessie herself who called me back within minutes! She brought three pigs and a lamb and made it so easy for us and exciting for our kids! She is wonderful and so passionate about her business. You know these animals are well cared for and so lucky to be a part of Jessie’s world. If you are looking for a place to provide a petting zoo, look no further! So happy to have found you, Jessie!

Just hired Jessies Party Animals for Easter and it was the best family party I’ve ever had! I love entertaining and always host the family/​friends holiday parties. I’m not sure I will ever be able to top this one. I called a few places before calling Jessie and they are actually all the same exact price. What really got me though was how passionate she was about her animals/​business and it seemed like she really cared. She also adopts and rescues animals as well as does charity with them. I got the petting zoo which had a mini pig, mini sheep, 2 mini goats, 3 rabbits and 3 fluffy/​furry chicken’s they were the sweetest cutest animals. Jessie showed up with Kayla and helped her set up. Both of them are dolls. Kayla was amazing, she was great with the kids and very professional and sweet, it couldn’t have gone better. I can’t wait till someone else I know needs a petting zoo or ponies ;)

The animals are cute and clean. Jessie and her helpers are very rude. It seems like she doesn’t even want any kids near her animals. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Jessie, her team and her animals are absolutely as good as it gets.
This is my second review because we have now used them 2 years in a row for our daughter’s birthday party.
We love animals, we rescue animals and we are extremely conscious of the fine line you are forced to walk when you want to «use» animals for entertainment/​educational purposes.
If you want to feel confident that you are truly being part of the solution — and not participating in the careless exploitation of beautiful souls — look no further than Jessie and her team.
There is no doubt in my mind that these animals love what they «do.» They feel safe and it shows through their affectionate and gentle manner. They are lovingly cared for and are treated with respect and dignity.
Not only do Jessie’s animals exude warmth and professionalism, but her humans do too. They are friendly, knowledgeable, kind and responsible. It is always a pleasure to have them in our home.
We feel lucky to have met Jessie and her team. We have them to thank for helping us teach our daughter the importance of being kind — to all.

My husband and I go back and forth about having petting zoos at our children’s parties, mainly because we’ve been to parties where there is poop everywhere and the animals are kind of dirty. But our daughter really wanted one for her 4^th birthday so we found Jessie’s Party Animals online and could not have been happier with the results. Jessie, the owner, not only had a great zoo with a variety of gentle animals who were super clean, fluffy and sweet, but Jessie was totally professional, helpful, on time and had a well-​trained attendant on hand at all times to scoop up any messes as they happened. We had such a great experience we’re booking her again for our son’s birthday in a few weeks. The zoo was a big hit with all the kids at the party, other parents raved about it, and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Our guests were raving about how wonderful the animals were, they were kind and gentle and it was the highlight of daughters 2^nd Birthday Party!
Actually my two year old wanted NOTHING to do with us and just wanted to hang out with the animals!
You must book Jessie’s Party Animals… a class act!

I am familiar with Jessie and her operation and I have watched her work.
She is the best there is at showing someone how to have fun with animals at a party. Was looking at the review where the woman was miffed because only a limited number of kids were allowed to pet the animals at one time. — Mam, let me remind you, these are living breathing animals … not the mechanical automatons like at Chucky Cheese. Real animals must be treated kindly, gently and with respect. Who would want to hire someone to bring animals to a party for kids knowing that they did not take proper care of their animals? Even your kids know better than that.
Jessie is amazing and that is why she is at the top of her field when it comes to providing critters for entertainment and that goes for private parties and the many celebrities who are her friends and repeat clients as well!!!

Terribly disapponted … Would not use again.
Called 90 minutes before the party and said due to scheduling conflict she could bring the Petting Zoo OR pony, but not both (I had booked BOTH months in advance, and listed them on the invitation!) …
Told her show up with both or I dispute on my credit card, so she did.
We had 25 kids that had to take turns TWO at a time in the Petting Zoo. It was awful!!! … She did not tell me this when I booked (told her how many kids would be there) or we NEVER would have chosen this company
We have been to other petting zoo/​pony parties that were great and wanted the same for our child. Unfortunately, that did not hapoen … Buyer beware !!!
