If I could give less than 1 star, I would. The worse movers that we dealt with ever. I gave them an exact list of items that I would be moving via email for a quote. They gave me a quote, but then charged me twice the amount when the move was complete. They damaged our furniture and put it in the storage unit without even letting us know. They complained about how we packed and how heavy some of the items were. They used foul language and were not pleasant to deal with at all. Please beware and don’t use these guys. You can fine much better, professional movers.

Maybe I was being naïve and too trustworthy.
Shawn seemed really nice & polite on the phone, warning me about other moving companies & how other moving companies will quote me a price then charge additional fees. So after talking to him for a while, I was convinced to use him and his company since he said he’d charge me a FLAT FEE of $ 200.
I had a lot more stuff than we talked about, but I clearly told him that I didn’t expect him to move all of the stuff since I know it was more.
However, he kept complaining that I had a lot more than we talked about, and justified his charging A LOT more for other things just because I «had a lot more things.»
My apt’s freight elevator was broken that day, so he had to move just my couch down ONE flight of stairs and charged me $ 40. Then when we got to the new place, there was a path to my place that wasn’t even that long, but he charged me an extra $ 60 to move the stuff down the path. He justified his charging so much for all this by saying that I had so much more stuff than we had agreed upon. Yes, I did have a lot more than expected in the apartment, but he didn’t actually take any more than we had discussed on the phone. I still have a lots of stuff in the old apartment that I will have to move.
SO I HAD TO PAY $ 100 MORE THAN THE «FLAT FEE»
He couldn’t even take my bed apart all the way b/​c he didn’t have the right tool, so half my bed frame is still at my old place. He should’ve given me a discount for that if he was going to charge me for every little thing.
At the new place, I noticed pieces of GLASS on the floor, and when I asked him about it, he said him and his partner pushed over our floor lamp and broke the light bulb. Fine, an accident can happen, but 1. he didn’t even tell me about it, 2. he didn’t clean it all up (I have a 4 year old running around), and 3. he didn’t take out the broken bulb.
Maybe all of the above is very specific to my situation but, here’s the most important part:
MY FURNITURE HAS A BUNCH OF SCRATCHES AND DINGS ON IT THAT IT DEFINITELY DID NOT HAVE PRIOR TO THE MOVE. I cleaned and wiped all my furniture before the move, so I know what it looked like before the move. However, when I was organizing things in the new apartment, I noticed that all my furniture had all these scratches and dings on it.
Shawn was pretty polite and nice, but as a moving company, I wouldn’t recommend him.

I just used them to move from a one bedroom apartment from another one bedroom apt, may five mins drive. Things are broken and my new Michael Kors purse & wallet are stolen. The owner wouldn’t respond when I inquired about the lost/​stolen items. Definitely going to file a report with Fairfax county police department as well as BBB if this is even a legitimate business and incorporated properly.
Thank you for charging additional $ 100 to assemble & disassemble and when everything was supposed to be included since it was as they quoted a «flat fee» and didn’t even do a great job. I don’t want to go in detail because I will just upset me more than I already am. I think it’s very unfortunate all these moving companies you see on ads are formed to just earn quick cash, conduct business in such poor manner and terrible business practice.
Sadly I would have let this go, if I ever received one response back explaining or even apologizing for what happened. I hope this business is properly registered in state of virginia so I can take further actions.

I moved across the country to a new apartment (sight unseen) in a new city and needed help unloading a moving cube– I took a chance and found Move4U on the internet.
It was incredibly easy to book the move with Shawn, just a phone call and an email. He called to confirm and, since my schedule was not completely set, was totally accommodating in rescheduling several times on the actual move day.
When he showed up, he brought two extra helpers and they got everything up three flights of stairs in less than 30 minutes flat. They even were careful not to scratch the wood floor and set up my bedframe for me.
My initial quote was based on just one flight of stairs. Despite the extra work, Shawn did not demand to change price (alot of other movers would)… he just asked me to pay the quoted price, if I thought it was fair.
I’ll definitely use Move4u again and would recommend them for any apartment move (especially good for unloading a moving container) in the DC area

If I could give negative stars I would. We scheduled these guys weeks ago for our move. We confirmed our appointment the evening before and received a response. Then when they didn’t show up on time and I called they claimed I was not on the schedule. After I forwarded the confirmation email I was told that yes I was on the schedule but someone got «confused.» Then they said they could fit us in in the evening, 8 – 9 hrs after the scheduled time and that they «were just trying to help me out,» and insinuated that I should not get upset because they are just a small business. I asked whether they were still planning on charging us the same amount ($ 350 to move about 8 pieces of furniture) given the large mess up on their part. The best they could do was $ 25 off. But it didn’t matter anyway because about an hour later they called and said they couldn’t make that time either! Terrible customer service, terrible follow-​through. All in all a terrible business that should really cease to exist for everyone’s benefit. Thankfully we found help with very little notice by getting our own truck and using the service the truck rental company recommended. What a debacle. Buyer beware. A confirmation does not mean they will show up!

Here’s an update.
I received a call from Shawn/​Sean with regards to my review and message informing him his services were not required… He stated it was unfair for ME to expect him to give me a fair quote as he speaks to so many people daily, how did I think he’d remember our conversation and how many items I had hence the price raise… I reminded him of our conversation and he slowly walked back the attitude.
Before hanging up with him, I made sure to mention the deal I got with his competitors and how I only paid $ 200.00 bucks for the entire move (versus the $ 300.00 he tried to charge me) and asked him to have a great day…
No good recommendation from me for these guys and I’m glad I wasn’t in a time crunch and HAD to use them.
My advice is do your research as there are many a deal to be had in this field.

Good guys, helped with a local move. They came in, were professional throughout and took good care of the furniture and the move.
It was easy to set up the appointment and no surprises. They arrived late but had called a few hours early to inform of the delay. Overall, I would recommend them if you have a small to mid sized move. For bigger move (more than 24 foot truck), make sure to discuss in advance.

Shawn was fantastic! I would recommend them to anyone. Not only were they great and courteous but on time! He made moving a an armoire so easy! Will certainly use him again!

Update! If you want a fast and reliable move, use Move4U!!! They showed up early and moved a 2 bedroom 1 ½ bath in an hour and a half. Shawn and his helper, treated my belongings with care and they worked QUICKLY! I would also like to add I moved to a 4^th floor unit and they unloaded everything in roughly an hour!!! I would recommend them to anyone wanting a STRESS FREE MOVE!

Shawn was great! He called when he was on the way and was able to accommodate a short lead time on my request. Fast move and lots of hard work that went above and beyond when it turned out the item we moved needed a little more work than anticipated. Definitely recommend these guys!
