Convenient location and friendly front desk staff make this an ideal place to stay on a budget. Always greeted with a smile and offered a goodie bag with a bottle of water, granola bar and a bag of chips.
Breakfast included in the morning from 6 to 9 am with a decent assortment of offerings.
The outdoor pool is only open seasonally but looked a decent size. There is also ample parking which is a big plus.
Rooms are quiet, clean and well kept. Not a luxury hotel by any means but for the price, well worth the stay. I’ll stay here again…

I have had a few good stays here, one awful (many years ago, but gave them a 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th chance which were OK), but the last stay has just made me say «not again!». They have been promising renovations for almost three years — three years! Not a single thing is done, breakfast is still a cramped scene of too many people in a small space, and food that constantly runs out. No fitness room on site, rooms that are smelling as though they should have been renovated three years ago… you get the idea.
Cheap rates just cannot make up for all of this.

Terrible, checked in went to the bathroom told the staff before we left for the evenining that the toilet in our room was plugged and needed attention, returned late from our night out ‚…nothing…same situation… flushed and flushed and flushed… came up with clean water with no over flow but still tissue did not flush… disgusting…should have this type of issue resolved and not habe to use to the lobby bathroom …50.00 credit on my card. What a joke

Good breakfast but really loud at night if you’re in a room facing the highway.

A pretty basic hotel with friendly service and delicious cookies in the evening, but the lack of a fitness center and overall looking like the rooms need to go thru a refurb, I was left a bit disappointed.
Upon check-​in, I received my little goodie bag of water and snacks for being a Marriott Reward member. There was also fresh baked cookies at the counter, which I quickly scooped one up. My room was on the second floor, and I found the elevator slow, so opted to take the stairs throughout most of my stay here. It was a pretty basic room, but found cracks in the sink, the corner of the counter chipped, and cracks in some of the light switch covers. The desk chair looked very dated and wasn’t overly comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room, but no luggage rack so had to throw my carry-​on up on the furniture. There was an available outlet on both sides of the bed, within pretty easy reach. The bed was OK but I found the mattress to not provide enough support for me.
Complimentary WiFi is provided and speeds weren’t too bad and I was able to stream some Netflix shows. For $ 5 a day, you can buy more bandwidth, but I found the free offering to be sufficient.
Complimentary breakfast is provided. On the hot side was oatmeal, eggs, waffles, and usually sausage or potatoes. I did not try the waffles, but out of the rest, only the oatmeal was decent, and they do provide a few toppings like brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon. You will also find cold items like cereal, yogurt, fruit, and breads. Coffee, tea, and juices are also provided.
I should have checked before booking here, but there is no on-​site fitness center here. I can’t even think of the last time I stayed somewhere that didn’t have one, so this sort of threw me for a loop. They do partner with a nearby fitness center that you can go to for free, but given all the snow and frigid temps on this trip, I really didn’t feel like venturing out once I was in for the evening.
Plenty of restaurants in the area and you are only about a 15 minute drive from the Burlington mall with even more dining options. Easy access to I-​93 and I-​95.
Just up the road is a Marriott Courtyard, which I will likely try next time.

I recently stayed at this Marriott Fairfield Inn and was snowed in a day during the recent Winter Storm Juno. I was there for a few days on business…
The PROs
–staff was friendly. for the most part
–two bottles of water were in my room upon arrival and one in my preferred members goodie bag
–mini fridge and microwave in room
–old school self-​controlled air conditioner (my favorite)
–shower had good pressure
–room was cleaned well by maid service
–room did not feel crammed
The CONs
–upon arrival the parking lot was plowed horribly from prior snow and there was a lot of ice on the ground (didn’t see any salt in parking area)
–couldn’t eat much at this place as the eggs were made of powder and looked absolutely disgusting and I don’t eat meat if that’s what you want to call it
–only meat wraps were served during the storm and a pasta salad that was gone quick (would have been nice to get a courtesy call or something informing that a meal was going to be served)
–some of the outlets near the bed were behind night stands and dressers and a pain to get to
–toilet paper was rough as hell
–bed wasn’t very comfortable… tossed and turned a bit and woke up several times throughout the night
–one of the members of the hotel staff said all of the cars still blocked with snow would be shoveled by the next day and by the time I was leaving for work around noon that never happened and I had to dig it out myself… I was fine with doing it, but my expectations were not met
–upon checking out there was at least 3 people standing around the check-​in counter and not a single one said, thank you, goodbye, nada!
Overall…I’ve stayed at plenty Marriott hotels and each has their own pros and cons. Sometimes it just depends on what city it is in and how it is run by the management and staff. If I had a do-​over I would have booked somewhere else for the reasons outlined in the cons section of my review.
Although there were some pros, the cons outweighed them and with so many choices for hotels, this Fairfield Inn didn’t really do it for me.

What can I say? It’s a warm clean bed and a hot shower. Being a Marriott Rewards Gold member I’ve stayed more than my fair share of Marriott properties across the world. This Fairfield Inn leaves much to be desired. It’s situated next to the freeway and next to railroad tracks so between the noise of honking cars, downshifting big rigs and trains going to/​from which seem to shake the building you’ll be hard pressed to get a good nights sleep which is the main point of a hotel.

Rooms were very plain and the carpet was old. We were by the railroad tracks and it was very loud. Not too good of a place.

Not as nice as the Google reviews make it out to be. It will do for a roof over my head, but if I was looking for a great place I would look elsewhere.

We stayed here about 2 years ago and swore never to stay here again but there were no other room available at the other hotels in this area. When we checked in at 10:30 pm and came to the room the toilet seats were up but the water looked like it had been cleaned so we sort of ignored this issue. We went to bed and found that the toilet would run about every 10 minutes. My husband fell asleep but the toilet issue kept me awake so I started timing it to determine its regularity. It was very consistent, between 10:13 — 10:21 minutes apart. Then the shocker was this morning; I slept in late and my husband took a shower. He came out and said «there were two bars of used soap in the shower stall». I was aghast! Now I wonder if we slept on dirty sheets last night, YUKE!!! I do wish we had told management last night but it was late and we were tired. We will never stay here again and I’m now looking for a hotel to stay in for the rest of the week!!! Do yourself a favor and don’t book here if you value cleanliness.

Clean and nice for the price. Comfortable beds were a huge plus for me. Continental breakfast was good.

This is exactly «as advertised» or «as expected.» The price point is GREAT — they have a fantastic weekend special, since most folks come here during the work week, due to the suburban location (probably doesn’t get a lot of Boston tourist traffic). My friends and I stayed here to visit a friend in nearby Arlington, MA – location was great– right off I-​95 /​I-​93. Close to Burlington, Arlington, Watertown and relatively close to Boston (30 min). The place was clean, breakfast was nothing fancy but FREE — coffee free and available 24×7. Front reception was very nice and courteous. Amenities were scarce and you could tell the place was a bit run down, but again– for $ 79/​night, you’ll get no complaints from me. If you’re looking for a good, economy-​level hotel in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a nice enough hotel in a familiar area to me. I come to see a friend in Metro Boston a few times a year… for whatever reason, hotel rates in the city proper are ridiculously expensive especially for what you get.
No real issues here. I got in at 11am on a Saturday morning and was able to check in with no fuss. I got a room on the south side of the building overlooking the lot and street… high enough that it wasn’t too noisy, thank god.
I like staying in Woburn because there’s plenty of stuff close by if you need them… a few restaurants and a grocery store, a CVS, a Target, Starbucks. hell there’s even a Lowes there if you need it!
It’s also pretty close to the highway and the ride into the city is about 15 – 20 minutes… not bad at all.
I wouldn’t mind staying here again but there are also other hotels in the area that I wouldn’t mind trying out as well.

For the price and cleanliness, it’s OK. Location is also convenient too.
The hotel has been updated but they’ve cut corners (using old tubs, doors, tile floors, sink faucet, etc.)
Hmm, maybe I’m getting spoiled by staying at Courtyard and SpringHill Suites.

On the road. Updated to current Fairfield level. Clean and fairly quiet. Real nice staff, had an appreciation dinner Wednesday night, pizza and stuff. 99 restaurant right next door. Good micro brew pub two minute drive. Planet Fitness about 10 minutes away. Free coffee in the lobby. Would stay here again.

As a young traveller I have been to quite a few hotels in the country and let me say this is one of the better hotels I have visited. I came for labor day weekend with my girlfriend to visit boston and go to a college football game and we could not have been any happier.
Our criteria consisted of finding an affordable hotel that was clean. That is all we ask for. Well we got both. For only paying $ 240 for the weekend, this was a steal.

It’s very close to local train stations that will get you in and out of the city. The staff is very friendly.
There are local restaurants and malls around the hotel as well.
We requested a fridge, extra towels, and two different types of pillows, and to be on the first floor which is must because you can make multiple trips back and forth to the room for breakfast.
If you’re going to Boston stay here. For the price you cannot beat it.

In town for a work convention. Flight got changed so I had to spend my first night here. Flight was delayed and due to those issues, the only thing I got to eat all day was 2 bags of airplane crackers. Got in at 1am and Will was working the front desk graveyard shift. I called when I landed, just to make sure they held my room and explained the flight disaster. When checking in and Will heard I hadn’t eaten all day, he immediately went to the kitchen and brought me a bagle, cereal, and unlocked the breakfast fridge to get me a breakfast sandwich. Exceptional hospitality and Marriott Service! Thanks again, Will.
As for the hotel, everything was on par for Fairfield. I got an accessible room, which was fine. Sure towels are thin and there’s no lotion in the room ammenities, but there’s a reason the price is much better than the full service hotels. Free WiFi had good access and speed. I didn’t trust the alarm clock but there was an automated wake up call you could set up on the phone, so that worked out great. Breakfast room was packed, but there was some patio seating by the front door and the weather was good.
My only complaint was that I asked front desk for a cab to the airport, but when it showed up, it turned out they got me a townecar. By the time I got there, it was a little over $ 20 more than it cost me coming in, so now I’ll have to explain that.

This hotel is conveniently located near several restaurants, the Woburn Mall, I-​95, I-​93 and the commuter rail station. I was somewhat concerned about the room that I was assigned since it was only a couple of doors down from the elevator. Fortunately, I could not hear the elevator from my room, but the icemaker located across from my room was kind of annoying.
The bed was comfortable and they had HBO. They also have a small outdoor pool but not a workout room. However, they claim that they can give you a pass for a nearby gym. The towels were pretty thin and scratchy, but serviceable.
The complementary breakfast pretty decent. It included oatmeal, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit in cups, yogurt and waffles. There were also blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries and whipped cream avalable for the waffles.
This Fairfield Inn offers a pleasant stay with a decent breakfast at a reasonable price and might be worth another visit.

My wife and I went to Boston for the weekend. The hotel was easy to find, clean, and the staff was very friendly. The only negative was the free way was right behind our room. It was not terrible but when a large truck goes by you usually hear it. The hotel did provide ear plugs for «light sleepers». We did not need them, we slept through the night. The free breakfast was great! Make your own waffles, jimmy deans sandwich’s, eggs, cereal, etc… plenty to choose from…
The drive into Boston was about 15 – 20 mins. It was not bad at all. But there is a station close by if you would rather do that. All in all it was a great trip. I would stay here again for the price and location to downtown Boston.

For the price and cleanliness, I can’t give this place anything less than 3.5 stars.
This particular Fairfield location:
— is clean and the rooms have no trace of cigarette smoke
— has a nice FREE breakfast where you make your own waffles, get some orange juice, coffee, eggs and more. It’s a great way to get your morning started.
— Near a local train station so you an avoid driving into downtown Boston
— Very friendly and attentive staff
Unlike some of the other reviews, I didn’t hear the passing train and was completely satisfied with my stay. The staff earned extra points by being completely accommodating to the wife, two monkeys and myself. The staff earned even MORE points for holding onto my digital camera for me and keeping it safe… my stupid head forgot to pick up the camera before leaving the room.
If I’m ever back in the Boston area, I’m coming back to this Fairfield. The price was great especially considering the fact that they gave us a $ 25 gas card for staying with them.
