Crabby’s Seafood, Steaks & More – Featuring Hot Rocks!

AWFUL! I am fuming that I even paid $ 45 for this meal. This is the biggest rip-​off I have ever encountered! For my fiancé’s birthday, while in the Dell’s, we were going out for a nice dinner. We chose Crabby’s based on advertisement. Ordered an appetizer, a couple drinks, a pound of crab legs, sirloin and ribeye… sirloin, maybe… ribeye, absolutely NOT! Crab legs, HA! After talking to the manager, a second order of crab legs was served — worse than the first. Our bill, after receiving 20%off was still over $ 100.00. I would have been more satisfied eating at Arby’s. I asked to speak to the owner, who basically laughed because ‘I was in the Dells’ and expecting much better’, and threatened to call the police because I refused to pay what they were asking. I asked him to please do so, as I refused to be ripped off. Suddenly, he wanted to settle up and let me pay what I thought was fair. This included full price for the beer, glass of wine, rootbeer, appetizer (fried junk, but we ate it, so I was being fair) and sirloin meal and half price for the ribeye (because it wasn’t one). I requested not to pay for the crab legs because a) I did not eat them and, b) I could have purchased better at the corner store. After I paid more than I should have, I cooked a brat over a campfire that was more satisfying than the entire meal at Crabby’s! Be warned! I have never written a bad review but felt this was worth my time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Besides the terrible food and service, the owner does not value his customers or service and clearly displays his dissatisfaction for people in general.

The service was just ok. We waited a long time for refills and for the check when we were ready to go but the food was good for a decent price. The decorations were a bit over the top. I would go back again

We went on Friday evening and though it didn’t seem extremely busy, just the usual dinner rush, but the wait staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Our waitress was so sweet and so apologetic but it took 45mins or so to receive our food that was not cooked (the meat is placed on a hot stone to cook at the table). Our waitress did give us complimentary dessert but we will probably not be visiting this restaurant again. It wasn’t worth the $ 85 bill.

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have had in a while. The host, bartender and waitress were so undertrained! All wines were out of stock and the place was so tacky with pirate themed. The one plus the meat was not bad. I would never go back again!

Nice atmosphere. Good kids menu. Decent prices. Only bad was I ordered the crab legs and they came cold. Mango cheese cake was good. Place was great due to not being busy.

Stopped by last Summer and had some drinks and dinner. Decent feast at a decent price. Sat outside which was nice and ate early so it wasn’t crowded. I will definitely go back.

I question the legitimacy of a few of these reviews. Tacky décor, mediocre food AT BEST, and horrible service. Avoid the 9.99 bucket of beer. The bottles are 7 ounces. I like fried shrimp but not coconut shrimp, so i was S.O.L. for plain fried shrimp here (not an option). The burger was tasteless, the seafood trio that you have to cook yourself was underwhelming, the crab legs just ok. The service… holy shit the service was terrible. A must avoid in the dells!

Maybe I had too much expectation after reading the reviews here, but I was not impressed by this place at all.
First off, we walked in before 5:00 pm so the restaurant was not busy at all. We were greeted, seated, but didn’t get any introduction of menu what so ever. We were not aware that they have a special menu until it got taken away.
Then the tricks, we looked at the menu — 6 beer bucket for 9.99 — oh that’s a pretty good deal for a decent restaurant, right? We got a biiiig bucket of hand bottles. It says 7oz but has regular size on the picture, brilliant.
Now the food
The chicken entrée — dark meat was good but white meat is beyond dry.
The crab leg — not the best but pretty good.
The hot stone dish — tuna was just ok but shrimps and scallops were good.

The food, atmosphere, and the service were outstanding! The dining experience was unique, as was the restaurant. The whole concept of cooking your food on a 700 degree Lava stone to your liking is very unique indeed! We will definitely be returning in coming years.

so this place is that cheesy restaurant you see in all the sitcoms where the teenage kid is forced to get a job and lands at a cheesy theme restaurant where the whole family wears goofy hats.
not a vegetable in sight… only salad offered is caesar. sure i’m eating fish these days but the salmon was just okay and the sides, artery clogging. not for me… i did it for the visiting family and kids ;)

Excellent tasting food! I had the filet mignon and lobster cooked on lava rocks and it was delicious. Daughter had the bucket of crabs and she loved it. Waiter was a little serious non welcoming but the food made up for it. This will be a place we must eat at whenever we come to the dells

Not a big fan of seafood, but that’s not all they have. I love how they bring you your food half cooked and you are able to cook it the way you want to, depending on the entrée you choose. How awesome is that. I like how the place is set up like an island & pirates everywhere, it’s a little creepy at first. Also they have a variety of piña coladas, margaritas, daiquiris, Etc & you can order without any alcohol (for people like me) also highly recommend for people traveling & staying at Wisconsin dells
