Ambers Resort and Conference Center

We liked our stay. you got us in early. You had waterpark passes. The hotel room was ok and pretty clean. The only thing that I have to say that was a let down was the breakfast. It was nice that a staff member made the waffles for all of us but the breakfast itself was a let down: powdered donuts, chocolate donuts and COOKIES??? So we only took advantage of that free breakfast once. After that we went to McDonalds. Yes, it was free, but I’ve had really nice complimentary breakfasts and this was just sad.

this was our first visit to ambers but we will be coming again the passes to Chula Vista and to one of the Kalahari amusement park were great it was exactly as they said it was the rooms were nice excellent for the value and the value was very good we had a room for us in a room for our grandkids ended up with six passes went and had a ball and we will be coming back again the Mexican restaurant in the hotel is excellent very authentic Mexican food and good margaritas

Ambers Resort is the best value in the Dells. This was our second visit, and definitely won’t be our last. I have always received top notch customer service. The rooms are super clean, modern, and well appointed. Every member of the staff has been professional, courteous, and personable.
My two night stay was under $ 350, and that price includes Kalahari waterpark (and indoor theme park) passes, in addition to Chula Vista passes. The Kalahari waterpark passes were extra, but we had never done their waterpark before, so we gave it a try. Well worth it, but if you are okay with Chula Vista waterpark, you can keep your money in your wallet. The Kalahari theme park is included in every stay here. Even people staying at the Kalahari have to pay extra for that perk. For that price, we could have spent ONE night at Kalahari, and would have had to pay an extra $ 100 to visit the theme park. The only tradeoff is not being able to walk right to your room from your activities.
We didn’t have time to try the new restaurant this trip, but I did hear good things about it. We will try it next time.

Price was $ 150 a night for??? Had to change rooms the first night because it smelled too bad. Beds were not comfortable at all. Continental breakfast was a joke. Breakfast consisted of frozen mini muffins, mini chocolate donuts, mini powdered donut (poodle butts), apples, oranges, juice, and coffee. Good luck if you’re diabetic. The rooms have a beautiful view of either a frontage road, parking lot, inside of conference room, or indoor pool. WiFi is very spotty in the rooms but, 4 bars in the lobby. The only plus is free tickets to Chula Vista indoor watet park and to Kalahari theme park (not water park). Plenty of better places to stay at that price and discounts for attractions are everywhere.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. We being my husband and myself and two kids:4 & 1. Our check in was a snap with great customer service at the front desk guiding us. I was a bit hesitant when we got to the floor our room was on and the lighting was dingy and bad, but then we opened our room and it is a typical 2 – 3 star hotel room. Beds are comfy which is huge for us, cleaning seemed fine to me too. The little pools for our kids have been great. The 4 year old and daddy went to Chula Vista today to use the package they gave us and honestly they were back in 2 hours ready to play some more in the little slides here. The most fun thing is the onsite bar/​restaurant. I am not going to say our food was stellar, and it was really quite wrong but the waitress was so darn nice I couldn’t even bring myself to complain over a couple little mishaps. They were offering incredible drink deals so I partook when I almost never drink out because of price. It was like mommy heaven to be able to safely and comfortably relax with some drinks and then walk back to our room. I’m almost positive we will be switching from our old standby resort to this place for our 1−2x per year visits to the Dells. Thank you for a nice weekend away.

This place was AWFUL! The management was terrible! The staff was rude and unprofessional. They screwed up our reservations. Our rooms were dirty. They didn’t have anyone clean our room the 2^nd day because they «forgot». The only decent employee we met was on his last day because he found a better job. We will NEVER be returning to this place.

Ambers Resort wasn’t too bad of a stay. The front desk was nice and the price isn’t bad. We paid $ 176 for 1 night and got water and theme park passes. The pools were decent, there’s many to choose from. They have pool basketball and a couple of small slides. Also a game room. The beds weren’t bad, the bathroom was a little small. Overall it was a decent stay.

We arrived at this hotel at 4pm on Friday afternoon. When we arrived to our room, the bathroom was not stocked with any amenities. I called the front desk and let them know right away. The front desk said she was the only one there and couldn’t bring anything down to us. I told her that we were leaving right away and I would stop at the front desk on our way back. We arrived back and picked up the linens, shampoo and bar soap. We arrived back to the hotel and I pulled out the desk chair to sit down and there was a Gatorade bottle and empty sack of chips on the chair. I went to the front desk and told the lady at the front desk that I didn’t think our room even got cleaned. She apologized and said the manager would be in the next morning and she would have him call me. The next morning I got up and showered and went to use the hair dryer and it was making a terrible noise and started smelling like it was burning. I was beyond frustrated at this point with our stay here. Once again, I called front desk and the maintenance man came down and replaced the hair dryer. The only good experience at this hotel was how attentive and polite the Maintenance man was. High five to the maintenance man. We checked out of the hotel at 10am and no call or visit from the manager. Extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service at this hotel.

First time we stayed at the Ambers Resort. The owner went out of his way to welcome our group. The hotel was clean and our room was nice too. All the staff were very friendly. They have a dining area where we had pizza which was good and for breakfast they do have doughnuts, fresh fruit, and a few other items. The owner was always at the front desk and you could tell he took pride in his business. It might not have a water park but they do have a pool. Close to the downtown area. We would stay again.

Hotel very clean. Friendly staff! Went out of their way to accommodate. Reasonable prices. Will stay again.

The only good thing about this hotel is the cost — it is cheap and you get a decent package deal.
The customer service at this place isn’t the most professional. Don’t expect a standard hotel experience. The room itself was ok but they neglected to tell us it was right next to the LOUD pool that is open until 10pm at night. If you have younger children that need to go to bed earlier, good luck getting them to sleep. Also, the place required all payment up front and had a strict set of RULES to follow … I felt like I was at summer camp, especially with all the screaming teenagers in the pool until 10pm.
We actually cut our trip short and drove back to Chicago on the 2^nd night to get a decent night’s sleep. This was our first and probably only trip to the Dells.

Remodeling but offering a great deal. Simple and affordable accommodations. Very nice owner, clean and friendly. Free tickets to water parks.
