John’s Pub: The Diamond in the Rough… Initially, I was VERY reluctant to enter John’s Pub. When I initially walked in, I didn’t see any restaurant patrons, and the décor had some of the rough cave features that were from the prior failed restaurant«Cave Inn». Overall, I just wasn’t sure… But for some reason I decided to give it a shot. Then it happened… I took one bite and fell in love… Ever since that day, I have NEVER regretted the decision to stay and give John’s Pub a chance. About the Food: While John’s Pub has a selection of items, that include American fare(which are very good), I constantly find myself gravitating to the(South African) British and Indian menu selections. I find the food to be comforting as if there was someone’s little old grandmother cooking her family recipes in back and pouring lots of love into the food. About the Service: Let me start by saying I have never encountered such a wonderful service staff. Every time I go back they have truly welcomed my wife and I as if we are family. I for one cannot wait to see how time will polish this diamond. Here’s to continued success.

Treasure find! Stopped in on a Sunday night our server Eddie made the dining experience great. Ordered the potato Samosa as app it was very good, followed by the Chicken Curry(flavorful spice, not spicy hot). I will be ordering both again. My wife had the Salmon special and enjoyed every bite. We recommend to others and will return often.

First time stopping here for dinner tonight, after constantly hearing great things from family and friends… and I have to say they lived up to their reputation! Food was great, service excellent, and the happy hour and kids eat free on Tuesday deals were awesome! I had the«pie and gravy» with chicken which was AMAZING and my husband had the bacon cheese burger and it was delicious! Priced extremely well with healthy portions. Highly suggest!

Great food, super friendly staff. Can’t wait to enjoy the new patio when the weather cools down. I ordered the veggie burger and it was one of the best I’ve had in town. Next time I’m trying the Samoosas. While they serve your typical bar fare of wings and burgers, there are also some Indian-inspired items to choose from as well. Plenty of TV’s if you are a sports fan and a nice selection of beer and wine.

Finally! A much needed restaurant and bar has emerged deep from the depths of the food and booze struggle that is Windermere fl. Johns pub has great food, good booze, excellent service, and we don’t have to drive to dr. Phillips to get it. If you go, ask the chef to surprise you and he will not disappoint. Best stuffed mushrooms ever! Overall, super excited about a great new local place for me and my family to hang out!

I wanted to provide the first review for this new place. They opened back in early march in the old«Cave Inn» location. I suggest you come give it a try because it is not bad and I’m a firm believer in supporting small businesses. The menu is diverse and the food isn’t bad. My wife and I ordered very basic items and probably not the house specialties. I ordered a mushroom onion burger was solid and my wife had the Philly cheese and said it was fine. Come and see what you think. It’s worth it.
