History

Established in 1989.

In addition to work in my private practice, from 1998 to 2008, I was the Program Director/Manager of the Vermont Family Court Mediation Program (VFCMP), a statewide program of the judiciary.

In this capacity among other things, I provided training and case consultation to the Mediators and Parent Coordinators contracted with the VFCMP.

I have served on several boards throughout the last 20 years, Franklin Court Diversion review panel, Laurie’s House (Franklin County’s domestic violence shelter and program), Vermont Mediators Association, and the Assistance Panel for the Professional Responsibility Board of the Court Administrators Office.

Meet the Business Owner

Susan F.

Business Owner

I love working with people who are often going through the most difficult time of their lives. I have been in private practice for over 20 years now, and am grateful that my work is so rewarding. One of my goals in session is to assist clients in separating the issues from the emotions. Once that happens they are ready to begin making agreements.

And my clients often have or will soon see me in another setting (if they have minor children); I teach the court required separation and divorce class (COPE) at the courthouse.

Here, parents spend four hours focusing on the needs of their child (ren). These classes are offered at a time when the family is typically experiencing many changes. This 4 hour seminar allows parents to take a step back from all the worries and just think about their child (ren).

My hope is that my work truly makes a difference for separating and divorcing families.
