I had my roof installed a little over a year ago. My father had his roof replaced a few years before that by the same company and he was very satifsifed. In that May I got quotes from about 4 or 5 different roofing companies. You always expect varying prices but I never expected to see a difference between the companies regarding how they prepared their quotes. Of all the companies, this was the only one where somebody actually climbed up onto the roof to inspect the roof. I got the quote in the beginning of May and I sat on it for a few months before finally making my decision. The quote I received from Aldor was significantly less than all the other companies but it was only about $ 500 more than doing it myself based on pricing out the materials from HD. When I called near the end of August I was told that the price of materials had gone up and the cost was increased by between $ 150 and $ 200 which seemed reasonable due to the fluctuations at the gas pump and the amount of time that had passed from when the quote was issued. After I signed the contract I did end up waiting a few months before any work had begun. At the time I was genuinely concerned that the roof wouldn’t be completed before winter. Once the work started it was completed relatively quickly and without any issues. I decided to write this review for two reasons. The first reason is that this guy did a great job on my roof, came across as very honest and seemed like someone that takes real pride in his work. The second reason is that it seems like so many other companies have a lot of dishonest tricks to try to squeeze every last dollar out of you. Specifically a company that starts with B and ends with urke. I was given a quote by some kid who obviously was not gonna be involved in the actually installation of the roof. I was given a sales pitch that they were doing a few houses in the area and I was eligible for a special discount as a result. The quote was a one time only deal(which was about $ 4,500 higher on a roof that ended up costing me less than $ 7K) and if I didn’t sign the papers right then and there the cost of the roof would have been about 15% higher. I am not a fan of high pressure sales pitches so I told him to send me a quote that would give me some time to think about it. He never even bothered. In the end Theiran Aldor Siding & Roofing is the type of company that you really want to do business with.
