Tasting on the Green is a collaborative tasting room located on the Windsor Town Green in Windsor California. It features the hand-​crafted wines of two of Sonoma’s most notable female winemakers Phyllis Zouzounis of Deux Amis and Brenda Lynch of Mutt Lynch Winery.

History

Established in 2014.

Although, the Tasting Room on the Green is new to the Windsor Town Green, the two wineries represented within have long and distinguished histories in Sonoma County.

Deux Amis is French for «two friends» and began as a partnership between two friends, Phyllis Zouzounis and Jim Penpraze. The partnership began with the 1987 harvest. That year, Deux Amis produced one hundred cases of Zinfandel from a single Dry Creek Valley vineyard. Today, Deux Amis hand-​crafts nearly 1,200 cases of Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah from vineyards in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys.

Mutt Lynch Winery was born in 1995 combining Chris and Brenda Lynch’s mutual passion for wine and «all things dog.» The winery specializes in Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Charbono, Zinfandel, Primitivo and Petite Sirah. In addition to creating amazing wine the Lynch’s are proud supporters of a multitude of local animal rescue organizations and are tireless advocates for all things canine.
