McLea’s has offered me great customer service every time I’ve come in. They value their customers! They have fit me in to their schedule quickly, and have a clean and well kept waiting room for comfort. I’ve been very impressed, so I’ll definitely be back!

It all began last week when I rolled my truck in their shop with the idea for them to repair a flat tire. The waiting area inside is small, bit has two seating areas. One is the typical 4 bench chairs and the other is a patio table and chair set. Very classy. They also had a very nice laid out coffee station for our convince. The gentleman asked if he could have my keys to get some information from my truck. He came back in and let me know that the two front were below the legal limits of tread. He also told me the rear were down by 80%, as his recommendation was to replace all 4. I asked him if he could just repair it, he said it was against their policy. It could put on the spare, or fill it with air. I asked him to bid them out. He research from low to high, average to high performance, gave me multiple options, and pricing for all of them. I told him I’d like to research this out as I normally go online and see if I can find a better deal. I went around to other competitors to see if they could beat their pricing for the same tire. Their competitors told me that the tire that was listed was not needed for my truck unless I planed on rubbing a lot of curbs. The tire was a 10 ply side wall which costed about 70.00 more per tire. I can’t be certain that McLea’s didn’t offer that to me, but it wasn’t listed on the options he gave me. I’m not going to ding you on trying to up sell me, but if the same tire has 3 options, I’d like to know. I received the quote from the competition and drove back to McLea’s Windsor. I spoke with the owners son to see if they would match the price. They beat it by $ 1.00, I told them to order the tires. A couple of days later they called and told me the tires came in and asked if I could drop the truck off. I drove it up there, handed over my keys, he asked if I preferred with walls in or out, I opted for in. They even go as to do a free wheel alignment to see if everything is okiedokie prior to releasing it. Should you need it, they give you a detailed inspection and show you how far off your calibration is for perfect driving performance. There is an added cost of $ 99.00. I reason I went back to Mclea’s in Windsor, is due to the fact I live right around the corner and this is my local shop. and since i’m buying my tires from them, I get the normal free tire rotation, free air checks, even with nitrogen. Which is only an extra $ 5.00 per tire. I get their roadside package and am covered at any other location as well. not to mention that I now get 20% off oil changes, 50% off tire balancing, 10% off any other service. On the right wall just inside their is a bill board of everything they can do. Lifts, lowering kits, lumber racks, winches just to name a few things I remember. I will use them for oil changes for sure. they even offer payment plans. which are 3 monthly installments by way of prepaid checks at net 30 days. Or a 90 day interest free credit card. I originally opted for the net 30 days which seems great until on the final bill there was a one time fee of $ 40.00 for using this option in which I was never told about, this was their interest fee. So if you opt for this make sure you’re aware of the extra cost to use it. But if it works use it. Other than that, they gave me the best of service, from their new location, and I love that we have a local tire and automotive service(one stop shop) in Windsor. Everyone is very nice and friendly.

Everyone at this shop is very friendly, the waiting area is squeaky clean, and you can easily make an appointment online for routine visits. All repairs are up-front and honest. I also like the fact that they’re family owned and operated.
