Lyons Optometry is located in Windsor, California. Our office provides comprehensive eye health and vision screening examinations, as well as treat all types of eye health issues. Lyons Optometry carries a comprehensive selection of designer eye wear brands, independent luxury eye wear lines, sunglasses, sport and safety eye wear. We also provide examinations and fittings for all types of hard and soft contact lenses. Dr. Lyons also performs consultation, evaluation and pre-​op and post-​op care for laser eye surgery.

Our eye wear boutique carries a large selection of some of the most unique and innovative independent eye wear brands in the industry. These include: Salt, Mykita, Etnia Barcelona, Lafont, Silhouette, Lightec, Pro Design and more.

**Please note our Monday through Friday hours of operation, however additional times are always available with appointment.**

Business Owner

Dr. Kimberly Lyons is a California native and was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Physiological Science from UCLA in 1999. In 2005, Dr. Lyons earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. She has worked as an Optometrist at both the United States Veterans Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles, as well as the U.S. Naval base of Camp Pendleton. Prior to her relocation to Sonoma County, during the previous 6+ years, she served as Executive Director and Optometrist of a leading Ophthalmology Practice in Newport Beach, Ca. She feels very fortunate for her work within the Ophthalmology center as it provided a unique base of medical experience only a limited number of Optometrists gain. Her clinical experience ranges from administering of corrective eyewear and contact lenses; to comprehensive treatment of an array of eye health issues and diseases, allergies and pink eye and is certified to treat glaucoma.

Went back for my yearly check-​up. I must be getting old because my Rx is stronger.
Dr. Lyons did all the tests and did a great job explaining how my eyes are doing. Dr. Lyons has always been the perfect balance of professional and caring. I left the exam feeling like I was well taken care of.
Afterwards, I spent about 20 minutes looking at different sunglasses. The selection was very good. Chose a pair of Maui Jim’s. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This is a WONDERFUL optometry center. Unfortunately, I had already had my eye exam, but I found my new frames here. The office is gorgeous and the staff was kind and welcoming. I have a petite face, so most glasses look enormous on me. The woman who helped me I think her name was Sandra, was incredibly knowledgable, fun to work with and patient! They actually talk to you about your vision and help you understand why certain lenses and frames work for you. I woke up the next morning unsure of what I’d chosen and brought a friend back to the shop with me. They were welcoming and took another half hour with me after I changed my mind. I will be returning in a year to get my full eye exam, this is a business that knows what customer service actually means! Thank you!

This afternoon I had a super thorough eye exam from Kimberly Lyons. She is very professional, pleasant to interact with, and most importantly, seems to really know her stuff. Since I don’t have insurance, I asked if I could take my new prescription elsewhere to fill and she printed a copy for me on the spot. I feel confident that I will see better and that everything she told me about the health of my eyes is accurate. Her staff were all very helpful during the process of making the appointment and gathering information on a new patient. I will definitely return next year.

I am so thrilled with Lyons Optometry! I went to get some new glasses in February, and there was a problem with the prescription, and she took care of it right away. Her office is warm and inviting, and her staff is top-​notch. A special shout out to Sandra who picked out my glasses– I get lots of compliments on them. Dr. Lyons is very professional and friendly, and I highly recommend them.

I found Dr. Lyons from Unilocal,and I am so glad that I did. From the eye exam to the selection of my very cool glasses the whole experience was great. Perhaps more importantly, my daughters, who normally do not like eye exams, actually liked having them done! Dr. Lyons is the optometrist for my whole family. We have been going to her for a few years and her office has provided outstanding service. Dr. Lyons does especially good with children. She recently provided me with a dry eye treatment and gave me new eye drops that feel great. Her office also has a really nice selection of quality frames, sports glasses and sunglasses.

dr. lyons is amazing. my cousin referred me to her. i tried on my cousins glasses and knew right away i needed to make an appointment asap. which i did! she was very nice and friendly and made me feel comfortable. her staff was wonderful as well and very helpful. alot of glasses to choose from. got a pair and will be getting them in two weeks so excited because i will be able to see much more better!!! i would refer all my friends and family to her anytime! thanks!

Dr Lyons is an excellent optometrist. I’d been struggling with changing vision for 8 months. In one visit (and a quick follow up), Dr Lyons had me fitted and seeing better than I had in a long time. Not only does she provide expert advice and care, she does the whole exam and fitting herself (no passing you around to assistants who may not know how to use the machinery as well). It just made me feel so much more comfortable that I was getting the right prescription.
Not only is Dr Lyons wonderful, her office is bright, beautiful and her staff is friendly and helpful. This team really understands the meaning of customer care. You won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Lyons is amazing, my wife and I both switched to her recently, and we really love her thorough and thoughtful approach to her methods and her ability to communicate exactly what she’s doing and why through the entire exam in a way that non-​doctors can understand it.
The office has a really comfortable feel, they have a huge selection of great designer frames to choose from, and great customer service from Lacey and the rest of the team.
They also really pride themselves on being able to handle all things optometry for their customers from eye tissue scans to cutting lenses in house, and have made significant investments in ensuring this depth of service for their customers.
I have to say that for all these reasons and more, my wife and I will continue to look forward to our exams and visits to Lyons Optometry. The floors are really nice too!

For years I’d ordered prescription glasses from the store on the same building as my optometrist (not Lyons). My satisfaction was «meh», never great at this other place, but I never took time to seek out an alternative for this once-​every-​couple years deal.
While waiting for a family member to finish her dentist appointment, I ventured into the Lyons lens center nearby.
There, Doug gave me precise and personalized advice on frame and lens selection. He also took my existing glasses and did a complementary re-​adjust to fix the poor workmanship done by the original lens store.
This fortunate visit to Lyons opened my eyes (pun intended) to the very poor service and frames offered from the other store, and set me on a path to acquire the most extraordinary set of lenses I’ve ever worn.
For about the same co-​pay charge as I had paid repeatedly to the other store, I got the lightest and best-​fitting frames, and the progressive lenses with anti-​glare are just incredibly better than the single lens.
Beyond enjoying my new glasses, finding a provider that obsesses about quality and personal service is just pure joy.

Since the fourth grade I’ve had eyeglasses and have seen many eye doctors. Dr. Lyons and her staff were light years better than any eye doctors’ offices I’ve ever been too. I was greeted with such a warm reception that I felt so welcomed. Other offices should learn from Dr. Lyons, on how to make a patient feel relaxed and more at ease.
During my exam Dr. Lyons and I chit chatted like we were old friends just catching up, she was friendly and genuine. The exam was a breeze and Dr. Lyons told me exactly what she was doing or examining while doing it, which is something that I appreciate .
Although I did not purchase frames and lenses there, I would, but my prescription hadn’t really changed, so there was no need, nor was I pressured into it.
I am recommending Dr. Lyons and her warm and professional staff to anyone in the area looking to have their eyes checked, I know I waited too long because I was nervous about finding a good eye doctor, and now I honestly look forward to my next one.

I am so happy with Dr. Lyons and the whole crew over there. They are all very professional and very friendly. The office is slowly working on getting all of our family in new prescriptions, glasses and contact lenses. On our last visit Dr. Lyons remarked, «I don’t want you to see good, I need you all to see great, so whatever it takes». Needless to say, she is very patient and has proved to stand by these comments.

I love Lyons Optometry! I went in feeling very skeptical that I would find a doctor and eyeglass frames I would like. Boy… was I in for a surprise.
I was immediately greeted with a warm & friendly smile from Jennifer Sourek — Office Manager. Jennifer took the time to show me the vast selection of quality eyeglass frames and explain the lens options available. I was pleased with the customer service, so I made an appointment to see Dr. Lyons for a full eye exam.
On the day of my appointment, Dr. Lyons sat down with me to discuss my previous prescriptions and my concerns. Dr. Lyons was very impressive; she took the time to explain what she was doing and what she was looking for at each step of the exam. I’ve never had such a positive experience with an eye doctor.
Dr. Lyons & Jennifer are definitely a winning combo! If you’re tired of the other offices and are looking to find a highly skilled doctor that will take their time with you during your exam and treat you with courtesy & respect, then Dr. Lyons is for you.

OK here is the deal…
Ever go to a eye doc and the technician does all the work and the eye doc comes in for a minute to show face and then the sales person comes and hounds you to buy everything? I’ve noticed every optometrist I’ve been to they play the good cop bad cop roles… Eye Doc = good cop… Sales person… bad cop.
We’ll this place is totally different!!!
Dr. Lyons does all the work and she really cares about your eyes. None of this oh i’m going to up your prescription so you have to buy new glasses all the time. She thoroughly checks your eyes, asks about routines, and figures out the best plan for you. No up selling… just what a doctor should do. Whats best for you not how to best use you for your insurance.
Great experience every time and never going to another eye doctor again.
