G & C Auto Body- Windsor

Thank you, Luis and team! I was in a rush this morning to get on the road, over packed my car trunk, and threw the trunk alignment off in the process. After realizing my trunk wouldn’t close, I took my car to Luis and he fixed it in no time! Although it was a small problem and a quick fix, I was treated with the utmost respect every step of the way. Thank you again for taking the stress out of a stressful situation!

I was driving around without a front end on my car for FAR TOO LONG so i decided to take it into G&C Auto Body in Windsor. I had already bought the aftermarket parts from a third party and that seemed to be no issue for the shop. Then after finding out that the parts I had bought were cracked, I thought I would have to buy a whole new bumper when instead, Jeff, helped me out and fixed the part at no extra charge. I dropped my car off for the weekend and as the new week rung in, so did my nice, sparkly, new car! (or so it felt BRAND NEW!!) I was very pleased with my experience and all of the kind people who worked at G&C and the very comfy couch and awesome magazines they have in the lobby! Will definitely be going back if I ever need another repair just as I will refer anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

I dropped in without an appointment (yeah, I was that guy), because I needed an emergency repair. Ali at the front desk, and Luis, who took care of me, were both very friendly, respectful, and responsive. Even though it was a very small job, they treated me like a VIP. They dealt with the insurance company, so I didn’t have to. They had a rental car delivered within minutes. They even detailed the interior! I could not be more satisfied with Luis and the rest of the crew at G&C Windsor.

Jeff helped me with my car and it looks great! Everyone was super polite and helpful. I so much appreciate the speed and complete professionalism I experienced!

This place is great, Jeff initially did my est. Then Shannon helped me with my car, both were couteous, friendly and professional! The work was great, the paper work seamlessly handled, the front desk coordinator warm and efficient and it all felt personal not to mention the founder shared his health journey by sharing and giving away free books by an author that inspired him on his diet and fitness goals!

My car looks better than I thought capable. Shannon handled my repair. I have anxiety issues and they worked with me to get a quick service and repair with a hassle free rental car. Absolutely impressed with their speed, quality, and compassion. I’d recommend it to friends and family. Radio commercials can be a little hokey but in all honesty they really do a great job and care about helping you.

someone hit me from behind. Really damaged me car. I called Geico car was told G & C Autobody shop. They kept me updated of what was going on they stuck to the estimated finish date. People very friendly. Had the biggest bowl of butter scotch candy, and they were the good ones. I would recommend them everytime. Service was great.

I love G&C! Had some minor work to be done after a parking lot accident. Farmers was the other party’s carrier and G&C is a direct repair facility for them. G&C called me to schedule the appt. They got my car in within a few days of doing the estimate, AND the car was done over a day earlier than expected. The repairs were perfect, AND they detailed my car so well that it was almost as good as when I first bought it.
I would recommend to everyone.

Never do business with this company. My families experience was so bad, that I find myself now writing my first business review. I hope this helps people in the future. This nightmare began in April 2011. My wife was in an accident in our Toyota Sequoia. The entire right side of the vehicle was damaged. Our insurance company sent us to G & C. The repairs initially took weeks, which is where we began to get a funny feeling about this company. They were always wishy-​washy on the phone, etc. Our vehicle was returned to us in what we thought (hoped) was pre accident condition, which should be the mission of any auto body shop. It was not.
Unfortunately, it took a pair of tires completely shredding out for us to figure out something was wrong. I took the car in to another repair shop to get a standard alignment. I was then asked by this shop «was this vehicle in an accident?» The read end of the vehicle (not body work) was shot and caused the tires to quickly wear unevenly on the inside.
At this point, I took the car back to G&C to have it fixed right. They were apologetic and put my wife and three kids into their fleet Toyota Corolla that had a warning light on. It was explained to me by Jeff that this was a factory recall. G&C had my car for several more weeks, and were not seemingly really in a hurry to fix it. They would promise it would be done and then ask for more time.
The vehicle was finally returned a couple days ago and we had more problems. First, the car was bone dry on gas. We returned their car topped off as any good person would do. Our car was not left at the shop without gas in it. Secondly, when my wife drove the car home, she heard a scraping noise. She returned the car and was told that it was the brake pads and it needed a brake job.
Why would someone return a car to a mom and her three kids in an obviously dangerous condition? I test drove the car, and not only is there a scraping sound, but you can feel a thumping in your feet when you are driving, NOT stopping. At this point we decided the vehicle was too dangerous to drive. Called G&C last night and they told me to bring it back in. We will not. My only regret is that G&C gets paid while they never completed the repairs the way they should have.
As I was writing this, I was called by Sean the owner. He said he was upset with the performance of his company and wants to make it right, but honestly my confidence in this company is shot. I will not put my family in a vehicle that has been in their doors.

The bumper of our Lexus was scraped and we needed an estimate and repair. The gave us a prompt and courteous estimate. When we asked if it was possible to save a bit and reuse the bumper pad, they said sure we’ll see if we can get it off and back on without damage.
They had to finish and repaint the bumper and after completion it looks better than new. It’s impossible to tell there ever was damage or work done.
They were courteous and on schedule.
The environment of their shops is famous. They look like a high end home or hotel lobby with lots to read and a TV quietly on to one side. If you have to wait at all, it’s a nice place to wait.
I would go there again if I get body damage to a car– that I hope doesn’t happen again.

The experience I had with this company has been a nightmare. They were unprofessional and discourteous!
My car was totaled in an accident that happened at my work and their property insurance covered it. The estimate to fix the car was $ 5,000 and my car was worth $ 3,800 at best.
We were all convinced it was a total so I bought another car. Well, G&C decided to lower their hourly rate and fix the car. They must have pretty outrageous hourly rates if they can reduce the cost of fixing it enough to not total out the car. (they lowered it by $ 1,300)
The insurance company was to issue me a check for the repair amount and G&C kept HOUNDING me for the check They said that they had received their check for the rental already. They acted like I cashed the check and was just not going to pay them. I called them at 4:30pm on Tuesday and lo and behold they said that THEY had the check. They did not call me and said they needed me to wait a few days for when they heard back from the insurance company to make sure that it was not a duplicate check.
I went there right away and they wanted me to wait to pick up the car until they had heard back from the insurance company. I refused and said they had the check so they had been paid and I was taking my car. They acquiesced and when I went to the car it was outside and unlocked! They were not expecting me to get the car until a few days later. Would they have left the car unlocked and outside the whole time? Also, when I went to turn the radio on it did not work as they did not enter the code like they should have to make sure the car got back to me in working order.
I believe they wanted to keep the car there as long as possible to collect extra storage fees from the insurance company.
This is a horrible company and I will never do business with them and will make it a point to tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague.
