Don’t be fooled by the low price from these knuckle-​draggers. After getting multiple quotes for Bluestone tiles from all over the bay area, we went with these fools because they were the low bid. We were told that our stone would be delivered on Wednesday, and after confirming the order and giving them a credit card on the phone for our $ 8800 order, they called me a few days later at noon on Tuesday, the day before our order was to be delivered, and told us that some how, some way, they were unable to fill our order. They said that someone else had gobbled up all of the stone that was in their computer system three days earlier. Jeff, one of the owners with whom I was dealing, said they had 5,500 square feet in the system when we ordered. Yet they failed to set aside the 600 square feet I needed when I paid for the order over the phone? Complete novices at this place, just call around and you will see. These boneheads can even manage their inventory. I knew I should have gone to Bay Area Bluestone in San Rafael, from the second I spoke with them on the phone. Scott at Bay Area Bluestone was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I told my wife that I knew they would be the most expensive, and they were. I regret not having gone with Bay Area Bluestone right out of the gate, but live and learn. I had a landscaping crew waiting for a delivery on Wednesday morning, and thankfully Bay Area Bluestone stood ready to deliver. And as for quality, nothing comes close to the bluestone at Bay Area Bluestone either; it is far and away the highest quality product. Scott over there is a prince, and the knowledge and experience he shares with you is in sharp contrast to the shit show at SBI. Caveat emptor. Consider yourself warned, and take your business elsewhere.

If you like customer service and being treated like a paying customer (which I was), do NOT use this company. From the moment we walked in the door, my son and I got the impression that our business wasn’t important. Granted, my order was only around $ 850., not a big job I know, but for me that is a lot of money. Not only was the counter help lacking, but the day of the delivery, the truck driver actually flipped me off while I was rolling down my car window to offer directions to my home. I was surprised to see such high reviews by women. I was treated like a dumb female (although I’ve worked construction for years) and will never do business with this firm again.

Always the best selection of stone on site to choose from. Unlike competitors who have hardly any material in the yard. And the staff is the best in the biz!

I have been purchasing from SBI for 10 years now and I can highly recommend them. They have a huge range of products, fair prices, fast delivery, and super helpful employees. Whenever I am trying to work out a gardening or landscaping project, I go to their big yard in Windsor… their water wise landscaping and myriad array of products never fails to inspire me!

Went in to pick up some material for a job. Found the sales floor representative to be quite accommodating. Not only was I in and out of there in roughly 10 minutes, but they loaded all the materials for me! pretty big fan of this place and will more than likely be back!

Not the best at communication, although seems to have gotten friendlier over the past few years. Buyer beware, look at exactly what they are delivering, because they will not make it right in my experience. I ordered a pea gravel and the cashier asked if I wanted crushed or round, I decided on round but he neglected to tell me it was a different size than crushed which was what I originally said I wanted. In the past I ordered a lot of stone, some of which were steps… the ones on the bottom of the palette did not make my mason happy. Best of luck.

I discovered that SBI gives 100% of their Christmas tree sales to Windsor schools, and couldn’t resist going here, instead of the dreaded Home Depot.
They were friendly as all get-​out, and helpful as can be, from trimming, wrapping and tying the tree to the car. The price was just a little higher than HD, but still comparable.
I don’t have any use for this place other than for purchasing a Christmas tree, so I can’t review their products.
