Aberjona Nursing Center

My mother in law went here after back surgery. She was not happy with the facility. She did like the physical therapist very much. They were very helpful. Unfortunately the staff was not. At night when my mother in law needed assistance getting back into bed the orderly said I can’t help you because I have a bad back! Another walked in the room with hands on hips and said what do you want now. What!!!

This place is absolutely horrible! For a few reasons:
1.) my grandmother called three times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and no one came so she got up by herself. The doctor said she absolutely cannot get up alone however she was forced too. She technically was supposed to have a bed alarm on but did she? Of course not.
2.) The guy across the Hall was yelling for help (he was confused but that’s besides the point) and when he got up from the chair the alarm was going off for a good 60 seconds and no one went in. Where do you think he ended up? The floor.
3.) The nurse came in to give my grandmother her medication. She had one pill in her hand and I asked what it was. SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS GIVING HER! Now that is an issue. A big one.
This place is so bad and I highly suggest you stay away if possible. I’ll never come back here again!

My mother in law was a resident at Aberjona .She went for rehab for a knee replacement. Her care was excellent, the nurses and rehab staff were very caring. Her goal was to walk pain free and after her stay she is now walking without a cane. I can’t thank the staff enough for the wonderful results she has had. The room was clean and the food was delicious, several options for meals. When we visited we were always greeted with smiles.

I am delighted to give Aberjona Nursing Center five stars because of the loving care my Mom is receiving from all the dedicated and compassionate nurses and aides who work there. I am grateful for everything they have done — and continue to do for my Mom. I visit her 2x/​day and each time I go there, I find another reason to be grateful that Mom is in such a warm environment. The staff at Aberjona has exceeded all of my expectations and I sleep better at night knowing Mom is safe and as comfortable as possible… and is being cared for by a team that truly cares about each resident!

Don’t bring a loved one here except as a last resort. The staff just go thru the motions & could care less. if the patient needs extra help they put a puss on. Consider them last. Giving 1 star because I have to give it something.
