For years I had been struggling with facial hair and it was only getting worse. I was having to set aside 30 — 45 minutes everyday just for plucking, shaving and putting on a full mask of make up to try to cover the hair and blemishes from ingrown hair. I was embarrassed and nervous to seek treatment. I was referred to Paula by my best friend who promised to hold my hand every step of the way but it wasn’t necessary. Paula made me feel comfortable immediately. She is honest, kind and a pleasure to see at every visit. The office is super cute and always clean. I’ve never had an issue with scheduling an appointment but parking can be challenging at peak times but it is FREE on street and in the small lot at the rear of the building. Paula has changed my life. I am more confident facing everyday. I no longer need the extra time to get ready and even go with out make up at times. I honestly couldn’t thank her enough for helping me. THANK YOU!

I had laser hair removal done on my legs with Paula, and the results are amazing! I haven’t shaved for months and all my razor bumps have disappeared. My legs feel baby soft and I feel like this was worth every penny I spent because I never have to shave again.

My sessions went like a breeze, hardly felt any pain. Also, her work is meticulous and detail-​oriented. She makes sure to cover all the area which is very important for hair removal.
I plan to have other procedures done in future and I would definitely see Paula again. She’s the only one I can trust!

I was so nervous to get my first laser treament, however Paula is so sweet and really makes the experience calming. She answered all of my questions on the phone before I set up an appointment and she made me feel comfortable enough to make my appointment for just a few days later. I’ve had electrology done by Rebekah, she’s done a great job. I had a lot of chin and upper lip hair and over the course of treatment it’s almost disappeared! I love the way my face looks, it’s nice to not have to worry about this part of my beauty routine. I’m more confident and feel good. Rebekah creates a really soothing environment and is very friendly, efficient, and most important effective! I would recommend her to anybody!

Paula was always prompt and professional. Unfortunately, months after my last treatment I noticed several patches of hair growing in that were clearly missed during my sessions. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled. As for my other treatments, the goal was hair reduction, in which the hair will obviously grow back but decrease the frequency of shaving. I’m happy with those results. But when the goal was hair removal, I expected all the hair to be removed and not to be left with awkward patches, especially for the price I paid.

I have been a loyal customer at WHR for six years (since I was 18) and have been continuously impressed and pleased each time. Paula accurately informed me of the right actions to take on which body parts — her advice has been spot on each time! She is also very thorough and clean during all of my appointments (a must with any beauty care professional).
Also, if Paula is ever unavailable to work with me, her assistant Rebeka schedules time for me. Rebeka is also AMAZING! She, like Paula, is extremely meticulous with how she works. It’s nice to know that depending on my schedule, I will always be able to be seen and attended to with the same high degree of professionalism.

I agree with many of these positive reviews when it comes to the quality of her work… it is excellent. I will say that none of that seems to matter if hou are a small fry needing a quick appointment. I do feel Paula favors customers based on service needed and perbaps the cost of service. I can’t get an appointment every time I try. I am sure if i needed laser or a high end $ appointment, i wouldn’t have any issues.

If you’re like me, you are searching places like Groupon and LivingSocial for big letters screaming «LASER HAIR REMOVAL THAT IS INSANELY CHEAP». I certainly did and I was stupid enough to actually buy one for laser hair removal. After having no success, and dealing with the self confidence issues that came with facial hair – I finally realized that certain things shouldn’t come with a bargain price tag because you really get what you pay for. When I went to my consultation with Paula, she was honest, professional and up front about how long it would take. Needless to say, I can not speak higher of Paula and Rebekah. I can’t tell you what a difference their services have made in my life. I never realized how much time I’ve spent hiding my face until I started going to Winchester Electrology. Really and truly worth every penny. Not to mention I always feel like family when I visit and I find myself looking forward to seeing Paula and chatting while she works. I have been battling facial hair for many many years and I finally decided that I had to put the tweezers aside and get serious. From my extensive research, I was pretty sure that I would need both laser and electrolysis, because although laser may be fast, it is clear that certain hairs that are blond/​gray or dark hairs that have blond/​gray roots, cannot be removed with laser. So in putting together the arsenal for the war on my facial hair, I knew that I needed the aerial bombing widespread mass destruction effect that laser would provide, but also the focused sniper-​like hits that only electrolysis can provide.
However, most hair removal centers either do one or the other, not both, and so the people that run those places will tell you as they told me, «Oh, electrolysis is the best, you don’t need laser» or conversely, «Oh, laser is the best, you don’t need electrolysis» — all without ever even seeing my particular hair pattern! I knew that these places were just trying to sell what they had to sell, without thought to actual outcome. This was troubling to me to say the least.
So then, happily, one magical day, I discovered online, Winchester Electrology & Laser — thanks to the reviews on Unilocal and the informative and comprehensive website, I emailed Paula and got an appointment for the next week. I never told Paula that I thought I needed both hair removal processes. On our first appointment, she carefully examined my hair and she confirmed my self-​internet-​diagnosis, that I had both types of hair, dark hair that would respond to laser but also the blond/​gray hair that could only be eradicated by electrolysis. I think that many women have similar hair growth scenarios to me, and should beware of laser-​only or electrolysis-​only centers.
I have been working with Paula for a while now, and I am thrilled. Some of the sessions we have are electrolysis only, some include laser. Paula is friendly and accessible. The office is warm and welcoming, with a home-​like feel yet obviously professional and spotless. I highly recommend Winchester Electrology & Laser and I am happy to report that I have set my tweezers aside for good!

I shopped around a lot before I chose Paula’s center for laser hair removal. I have
been to other places for laser hair removal such as Boston, and vicinity for laser hair removal. I have found Paula to be the best of them all. How is Paula different from other places? She’s been in the business for a long time, is very knowledgeable, is prompt and never makes me wait, her prices are very affordable, she’s professional, and never pressures you to upgrade for other services like electrology or to buy products. And whenever I had a concern, she would take the time to address it carefully and with attentiveness. Also, her center is quaint and cozy, and there’s always parking in the front. It took me 2 sessions and I already felt comfortable with her. Her services really work, since I’ve seen amazing results with her machine, my legs have been hair free ever since. Best money I have ever spent!

I have been a client of Paula’s for quite some time and I will refer people there all day long. The space is comfortable, private and immaculately clean (huge plus)! Paula will instantly put you at ease. To me, this is no easy job considering that I’ve been pretty ummmm… exposed…during these sessions. I have never once felt uncomfortable. Paula is the ultimate professional and will explain every little thing to you. And trust me, I have asked EVERY LITTLE THING. Not only is she knowledgeable, but she’s incredibly honest. She has never tried to upsell me from electrolysis to laser and has been able to explain why one works on certain areas over the other. Oh… and she won’t break the bank. What’s not to love? I owe the last couple of razor/​wax free summers to Paula. If you’re thinking of laser… think no more. This is where you need to go.

The center is small and cozy, and Paula is incredibly professional. She makes you feel at ease (even if you’re getting a very awkward area lasered). She is also very prompt — I never had to wait for her to be ready. I live about an hour away and usually hate going that far from the house but I had a great experience and I highly recommend Winchester Laser to anyone interested in laser hair removal — it’s worth the drive!

I’ve been going to Paula for over a year now. She is amazing, kind, knowledgeable and gentle. Her expertise and demeanor puts you at ease from the get go. I’ve gone to Paula a few times now– so far so good. I still have more sessions for laser hair removal, but it seems to be working. She’s friendly and knowledgeable about what procedures work where /​how many sessions it takes etc. (like electrolysis will work better for my eyebrows than laser since you can’t use lasers near the eyes). I’ve tried another place (see my reviews) and this is a MUCH better experience for laser hair removal.
