We feature contemporary art, Abstract art, Photography, Raku, Ceramics, Wood turning, silk marbeling, Photrealism, Texas Landscapes, Hill country landscapes. We have paintings in oil, watercolor, mixed media and acrylic. We also feature sculpture in wood, bronze, marble and stone. Our jewelers produce fine works in bead, sterling silver, dichroic glass and much more. At the Gallery on The Square we also feature fused glass lighting and chandaliers.
History
Established in 2004.
The Gallery on The Square was started by Steve Klepfer and Randa Ryan owners of The Old Mill Store, in early 2004. The location was originally built by Ron Prewitt in 1994 before the location was complete a local gallery owner by the name of Karen Boden requested to rent the building for her gallery, Sable V. Sable V Established the building as a known Art location. After Karen closed her doors in late 2003 the busness was reopened as the Gallery On the Square. For the first two years the business was managed by a couple of Karen’s former employees Frankie and Michelle. In Late 2006 Rhett Ryan took over managing the gallery and is doing so to this day. The Gallery on The Square has always taken pride in representing some of the finest artists in Wimberley, the Texas Hill Country and Beyond. It has been our pleasure to serve the Wmberley community and provide and a venue for our talented artists to be viewed and collected by the public.
