In a world of dying traditions and fast changes in the way we live I sometimes long for snapshots of my childhood. I remember my father rallying my family in our station wagon to get ice cream from the shop by the bowling alley near my house. I forgot all about those memories until my fiancé and I stopped in to double dippers on our way home from the movies. Now we have our own ice cream parlor that we visit at the end of date night. The best and worst part of double dippers is I want a scoop of every flavor in the freezer. The easy choice is going the difficult choice is where to start. If you’re looking for an intimate classic style place to indulge stop in here and you will be happy. The quality is top notch, staff is warm and welcoming, and we look forward to making memories here.

Cute ice cream shop at the end of Wilton Drive(or, rather, the end of the part typically referred to as «The Drive»). A variety of flavors and you can taste test a few. A little pricey for what you get, but still reasonable. You can sit at tables inside or out or grab your ice cream and go for a stroll down Wilton when it’s not too hot out. The restaurant and bathrooms were all clean and the staff was very friendly. I’ve tried the strawberry cheesecake and Dutch chocolate almond and liked both. If you’re in the mood for ice cream in the area stop by.

Tim and I, Scott love going to Double Dipoers. The ice cream is the best tasting. They have the best banana slit. I feel it is a good value for the quality.

Stopped in on our way home one night. Ordered and ate some ice cream then took kids to the bathroom. There was NOSOAP. I asked for soap only to find that they were COMPLETELY out of soap. Yup. No soap in the entire place. So basically the one serving you your ice cream has dirty hands and anyone who used the bathroom never washed their hands. NEVER going back. How hard is it to go get soap or borrow from a neighbor?

I am a peanut butter chocolate fan at Baskin Robbins and Hersey’s Ice Cream has them beat! The service is amazing and friendly. The owner is very nice and indulged us tasting several flavors. Here’s the great news! They actually have more than one no sugar added flavor or NSA as they ‘re called. We ‘ll be back!

Nice clean store and friendly staff, great ice cream too but the thing that annoys me are the small styrofoam cups the ice cream is served in. Portions are small because of that and in my opinion should be changed.

We stopped in here after having a full meal(including desserts) just a few doors up. Seeing that it was my step-father’s birthday and he was craving ice cream or yogurt I was happy to oblige… and happier that it didn’t mean driving out of the way but simply walking about 30 feet. The place itself isn’t anything special… just your typical ice cream parlor… but the flavors were pretty special. Lots of different options and flavors I had never heard of… and after multiple free samples I settled on Pumpkin. Personally I love a good waffle cone, but hate the thought of ice cream dripping on my hand, so I got a waffle cone and a cup for safety measures. I then proceeded to crush the waffle cone and sprinkle it on top of my ice cream in the cup. Perfect. My mom had a greek yogurt frozen dessert, so there’s more than just ice cream here. Great spot for an after dinner treat if you’re in the area.

We have been to double dippers 2x and both times the service has been awesome… the ice cream(butterscotch bomb is the bomb!) has been delicious. The little shop is very clean and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in Wilton Manors. Would love to see a smaller scoop for kids. Definitely a great place to check out after lunch at Pink Submarine.

This place has a great variety and the staff is always super nice. Try as much as you like(but can I recommend the butterscotch bomb, the dulce de leche and the raspberry cheesecake?) I love the location and that it’s within walking distance to some truly great places to eat. It’s the perfect sweet treat after stuffing your face with delicious food on Wilton Dr.

What a great little spot. Being the fatty that I am it’s difficult for me to pass up for of any kind, but on a nice day like today I just had to have some ice cream. That’s where Double Dippers come into play. Located right on Wilton Dr, I wonder how busy it gets due to being surrounded by gay bars and clothing shops. But hell, I don’t care because it’s amazing. Let me first mention the woman working the ice cream bar was such a nice person. Genuine. Not one of those play nice so you’ll leave type of people. Very willing to team and answer questions. Oh– unlimited free samples. Yes, you read properly. And they are generous too. I tried the apple strudel and strawberry. I went with my typical strawberry milkshake which was nice and thick and brought all the boys to the yard. And for $ 5, that’s really all I could ask for right?

Double Dippers is basically an ice cream store specializing only in quality ice creams of the Hershey Creamery Company which, as far as ice creams go, pretty guarantees you nothing but top of the line in ice cream products. However, this Hershey company is not to my knowledge in any way related to the better known Hershey chocolate and though ironically both out of Pennsylvania, this company was founded by a Jacob Hershey whereas the chocolate company by Milton S. Hershey. Located in what was formerly Gelato Station, it’s a sparkling clean well run well organized operation and for ice cream of any choice, a place in which you really can’t go wrong.
