After a long night at Cuzzins in Mount Snow, my husband and I were in the mood for a good local breakfast. Dots was everything and more. I ordered the spicy chili cheese omelet and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The chili is absolutely amazing. The homemade it came with was a perfect addition. I wish there was a Dots in my hometown. Highly recommend going even if the wait is long — it is worth it times a million!!!

So glad I returned to Dots. Haven’t been here in a while, the place looks great, it survived the flood. The food and service are great. Love the omelettes and chili.

This place was delicious. Like any good place there was a bit of a wait but they worked fast to get you in. The homemade toast was SOGOOD with the veggie omelet. All the vegetables were fresh and the omelet was completed loaded. My fiancée got the biscuits and sausage gravy, no eggs no homefries. The portion was huge, a meal in itself. He absolutely loved it, flavors were on point.

Ordered cajun skillet, chili, and biscuit and gravy. Came in with low expectations, but they really delivered. Simple food made really well.

I had a long wait for a bus in Wilmington this past week and went to Dot’s for brunch. Since Wilmington is a small town that attracts a lot of tourists(mainly for skiing), I was honestly expecting unreasonable prices, but I really wanted some eggs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the breakfast menu(that’s all I looked at) was very inexpensive. I ordered a veggie omelet, and it was awesome. It was loaded with vegetables(broccoli, baby spinach, onions, tomatoes, peppers, maybe some other stuff) and the cheese of my choice. What I keep coming back to in my mind is how well they prepared the spinach. Baby spinach can so easily go mushy and shriveled, but they cooked it just so that it was bright green and maintained its texture. As the omelet was bigger than my head, I ended up bringing some home and getting two meals out of it. I also had one-and-a-half large mugs of coffee, all for $ 10. Not bad at all. Major props to the server. She made Dot’s feel like one of those places where everyone knows everyone, but somehow I didn’t feel like an outsider. When I first arrived, I was one of the only customers there. But it quickly picked up and was packed by the time I left. I had expected to wait a bit for the server to get around to me for my check, but soon after I set my plate to the side, she came over and asked if I wanted a to-go container. Then she was right back with the container and my check. Then she was right back with my change, all while attending to everyone else without seeming frazzled or like she was trying to rush me out. I think she might be magic. If I’m traveling through Wilmington again, I’m definitely going to Dot’s.

We were visiting Vermont to see the Fall Foliage this past weekend, we found this restaurant on Route 9 just a mile away from Hogback mountain scenic view point. The staff is very friendly had good knowledge of the food items and were very honest. Food was amazing, we tried the 10 ounce sirloin, The swordfish, french onion soup, fish n chips, the Alfredo chicken pasta, and our kids had Hot dogs. All these dishes were amazing, they have very quick service this place looks like a mom and pop run place but is very professionally managed, one thing to worry about is the parking(I am not so much concerned though) is limited, but the staff are happy to point you to a close by parking area walking distance away. Overall great experience, hoping I will go there again if I get a chance.

New Yorker here, came for a late breakfast. It was the best home made breakfast Ive had in a long time. I suggest the home made whole grain toast! Had the Cajun Scrambled eggs and it was delicious! Price was fair and service was great!

One more reason to love Vermont ! History of Dots is an interesting one having survived and rebuilding from flood waters. On to the food and service, my wife and I rolled in last night and on recommendation we decided to try Dots. Was greeted by smiling faces and seated promptly, the wait staff was awesome and very an accommodating. I had the Angus meatloaf with a side of chili(I was feeling very hungry for bs tastes) food was so good we came back in this morning for breakfast which was stellar, we both had the French toast sampler. While finishing our coffee and tea I heard the waitress taking an order from table next to us and I wished I can relive my order again ! When in the Mt. Snow area do visit Dots in Wilmington ! John

Great service, very tasty food. Fresh baked bread with butter while you wait for your main dish. Had the French onion soup, husband had the meatloaf platter. Both were fantastic. Stays open later than most other food places in town. Definitely recommend!

Don’t believe the hype. This place is the only game in town and they know it. Most of the staff is friendly but we had the nastiest waitress on the planet and after a thirty minute wait and another twenty five to get our food it was pretty disappointing. The waitress had an attitude as soon as my mother in-law ask for a substation because of a food allergy and it the food was bland and really a let down. It’s a glorified diner nothing to see here folks

Hands down the best sausage gravy and biscuts I ever had, a hint of cayenne pepper and great pork sausage mixed in. Top it off with a blueberry pancake that just melted in my mouth with real maple syrup. Add in very friendly staff and a really nice ambiance and you have an absolute winner here.

GorgeouS! I love the place. It is great friendly service and very good service! I love it that it is next to the wAter! The hot chocolate was good. The hash and the berry pancakes were amazing!! my husband had the eggs, biscuits and grAvy and the potatoes. The potatoes were good and he loved the biscuits and gravy. The portion was as big as his face! The waitress was friendly! The managers Mitch and Kathy spent a long time talking to us. It was neat how they showed us pictures of Irene and dots! Thanks for reopening dots!

There is so much I can say about Dot’s in Wilmington, VT. I have been a parton to this awesome family restaurant for years with my family. My family and I have been going to dine at this comfy place for years and it has become tradition. We would go to church and the once church let out we would all hop in the car and go to Dot’s. The staff make you feel like you are more than just a customer they make you feel like your family. Plus all the yummy food that is home made and filled with love.

The BEST cinnamon roll I have ever had. As big as your face. Piping hot, salty and sweet with just enough icing! Rest of the brekkie was delicious but nothing could top that cinnamon roll! We went about 915 on a sunday but by 930 there was a big line so get there early!

Escape the ski crowds closer to the slopes and come cash in on some fantastic comfort food. The presentation and delivery is very«diner» — but what comes on the plate is wholesome home cooking. Honey sung fried chicken is a must, complemented by jalapeño corn bread and plenty of butter. Four pieces make up the plate; it’s almost enough to count on for lunch the next day.

Dot’s is a great spot in the heart of Wilmington VT(they also have a location a few miles up Route 100 closer to Mount Snow. It has pretty standard diner fare(eggs, pancakes, french toast etc.), but everything tastes great and there is a sense of community in the restaurant. This location was destroyed during hurricane Irene, and it is great to see that it has been rebuilt and the lines are once again out the door. This is a true gem in Southern Vermont.

There are some places that live up to their reputation. This happens to be one of them. They have battled back from the hurricane and amazing flooding of 2011, and are better than ever. Sure some of the quirky things I grew to love such as the completely sloped floor are gone, but the new Dot’s is great. Expanded seating area — bright — clean — etc. If you come at peak time on the weekend, get your name on the list, enjoy a coffee that they provide outside, and anticipate how delicious breakfast is going to be as soon as you can get in. Favorites on the menu for me are the Cajun Skillet, and the banana pancake. The banana pancake isn’t quite as legendary or cult followed as the berry-berry, but it’s my favorite. Caramelized rings of banana engulfed in batter… delicious. Served with REALVT syrup — as it should be. Not in the mood for breakfast, their sandwiches are great also. Don’t forget their multi-year award winning chili. Don’t miss Dot’s — it’s one of my favorites.
