The food and the staff are wonderful. Down home eggs and home-fries. The place it’s self is very bizarre in the layout. There are no tables, but two horse shoe counters that sit low like a kids table. It’s places like this that you wish had the money to invest in themselves. If they could clean, paint, buy furniture, and print menus they would be a destination. The food is better than Dots!

Classic. Two U shaped counter sections in a large room. You have probably never been in a more oddly appointed place but it adds to the considerable charm. The service is great and the food is equal to that.

Mom and pop shop. Very cozy and friendly staff. The buttermilk pancakes were really big and delicious! I got chocolate chip, raspberry and blueberry. All were just wonderful. Also got a cup of clam chowder that was loaded and delicious. My boyfriend got the hungry man plate and he polished it off clean! Seating is at a u-shape table and self seating. Overall wonderful experience would definitely come back for more!

Tiny diner with very limited counter seating only. Awesome pancakes and hash. Friendly staff and you never know who you’re going to sit next to. Great place for a late breakfast but don’t plan on going later than early afternoon as they close early.

If you are looking for aesthetics, this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for an excellent, hot breakfast with a great cup of coffee and friendly service, the Cup and Saucer is your place. The selection is amazing. The list of what you can’t have, if such a thing exists, is certainly smaller than the list of what you can have. Every conceivable pancake variety, from pumpkin to chocolate chip and banana, to Reese’s Pieces, plus omelets and biscuits and gravy and all the usual suspects. The staff is great, always happy to fill your cup. The food is hot — it’s a tiny place after all. You should expect to stand and wait at least a few minutes on weekends. This is our go-to breakfast place when we are in Wilmington.

Hidden gem. Shhhhhh… Don’t tell the winter birds… wait, I’m one of them! Seriously, great, simple spot with very«step back in time» service. Feel like I’m on set of a 1960’s set. Great food, that’s all that counts right?

The food is fantastic. The last time I was able to stop in there, I got the Biscuits and Gravy and I can’t wait to get back there to get more! If you have a group going, this isn’t the place. It’s communal seating so it’s good if there are less than 4 people. The service was a LITTLE slow but they also were very busy so it was understandable. I certainly will be back as often as possible.

This was one of the best breakfasts I have had in awhile. The blueberry raspberry pancakes were the best pancakes I have ever had. I would recommend this small diner to anyone. Our waitress could not have been more friendly and helpful. Definitely a must to start your day off right before hittin the mountain.

My girlfriend and I ate at Cup N Saucer twice during an extended weekend stay we had in Vermont in mid-October. This diner has an insane number of pancake options, along with the whole array of breakfast classics. I’m a big fan of banana walnut pancakes, and the ones they had were excellent. Don’t tell my mom, but they’re almost as good as hers! But the pancakes were on my second visit. On my first visit, I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were good, but the sausage gravy itself was great. The waiters were friendly and service was prompt. If you walk in and see a line, stand in it. It’s worth it.

Not as well known as their neighbor, Dot’s, but just as much of a Wilmington institution. The food is fresh, delicious, and interesting. They serve typical diner style breakfasts, and unique omelette and pancake varieties, as well. Counter seating, and friendly staff make you feel like you’re visiting your favorite neighborhood spot even if you don’t call Wilmington home.

I hit the Cup N’ Saucer at 6:10 am this morning for a quick couple of breakfast sandwisches. This was shortly after opening for the day, and they were gearing up for a busy day with a fishing derby beginning in a neighboring town, and already had a grill full of to go orders in full swing. I hit the restroom and washed my hands, and my order was bagged and ready to go with salt, pepper and additional condiments when I came out. Super Fast. Super Good. Thank you, Sonny– You Rock!

We ate here on the way out of town on a beautiful morning. It was excellent! I had the banana chocolate pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and wow were they could. My fiancé had the biscuits and gravy and was very impressed! I’m sure that it gets busy but they really kept things moving and got people in and out without feeling rushed. The prices were very reasonable as well! A great find! I will definitely come back if I am in the area again!

I really love this little nook! Such an adorable breakfast spot located in Wilmington. The breakfast is so so so delicious with some really great options. Just need to consider that you might need to wait a bit for seating. There are two large horse shoe shaped tables where you just seat yourself whenever a spot opens up. I will definitely be back if I’m in the Wilmington area in the future.

Classic diner — coming into Cup N Saucer is like stepping back in time — or simple seeing the best of Southern Vermont. Warm, friendly service. Family atmosphere as groups gather around the round counters. Huge menu with super-cheap prices — and you can get the best omelettes in town and unforgettable seasonal pancake specialties. Go!

This is a small diner with a very friendly staff. They have two U shaped counters which is cool at first but gets a little weird when you are staring across at strangers as you eat. Now the food… man I am not a fan of breakfast foods… but I had the best pancakes there. I had raspberry and blueberry pancakes which were perfect. Their bacon was crisp but not burnt and just the way I liked it. When I go back to Mt. Snow this is going to be my go-to for breakfast.

On the way to the slopes, I stopped at Sonny’s Cup N Saucer, which is a local diner restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere inside is pretty classic, seating around 2 mini U shaped counters and an open kitchen and grill area. Lots of specials and popular items are posted on sheets of paper above the grill area. The dishwashing station is visible from the dining area. Most of the customers here seem to be regulars(the servers address them on a first name basis) with a few skiers in the mix. The menu offers the typical American diner fare including breakfast dishes as well as sandwiches, soups, comfort dishes, seafood, and ice cream(Gifford’s). They brew New England Coffee. The portions of hot breakfast food coming ff the grill looked big. I started out with a mug of hot coffee, which was pretty good. For breakfast, I had some homemade corned beef hash, home fries, and an egg & cheese sandwich on wheat toast. The hash was pretty decent which was grilled with very minced potatoes and corned beef, no too salty. The home fries were tasty, grilled and browned with onions and seasoned with paprika. The egg & cheese sandwich was good, which had a fried egg and melted American cheese. The place was pretty busy and steady on a Saturday morning. The service was good and there were two servers taking care of both counters, rushing out big plates of food and refilling coffees. The check came out to $ 9.60 before tip, which is in line with most other breakfast places I’ve been to in New England. Overall, I had a good breakfast and I was now good to go for a long day in the snow!
