Chickie’s and Pete’s

This is to review the Chickie’s & Pete’s inside the ballpark at the Blue Rocks in DE. (Frawley Stadium). The food at this stadium in general is pretty bad and C&P is no exception. Next time I will get a re-​heated Chick-​Fil-​A for a whopping $ 5 if they are available (other end of the ball park).

I went here today actually to the Blue Rocks stadium and this place looked like the best choice out of all the restaurants there. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 cheesesteaks with fries. The cheesesteaks could only come with fried onions bc that’s all they had and this melted cheese of some sort. You had to add ketchup and mayo yourself. Since we were at the baseball stadium there was only ketchup available. So we settled for the cheesesteak even without the mayo. The fries were called crab fries bc they were heavily seasoned with old bay. The fries came with that same cheese that was on the cheesesteak. Let me start off by saying that the fries weren’t cooked all the way and the old bay was overpowering. I could barely taste anything else! The fries came in a bucket and my boyfriend and I didn’t even get half way through! The cheesesteak wasn’t any better sadly. It looked pretty appetizing but I was wrong. The steak was sooo dry and flavorless. Like EXTREMELY DRY AND FLAVORLESS!!! It was seriously missing some spices, seasoning, something! The cheese on the steak really didn’t make a difference I could barely taste it. It was kind of like whiz cheese only white. Not terrible but not great. It also lacked flavor. The bread used for the cheesesteak really just put the cherry on top in this disaster! It wasn’t toasted, it was hard, and honestly way too big for the amount of cheese and steak they give. The fried onions on the cheesesteak which was the only thing we could put on our sandwich besides cheese was disappointing. They could go unnoticed easy. I didn’t taste any. I saw the onions but I didn’t taste them. The sandwich itself needs help to say the least and the fries aren’t looking too good either. To top it off we spent almost $ 30 on this terrible meal! We literally only got 2 cheesesteaks and one fry we didn’t even get a drink. Pretty pricey! And honestly we ended up not even finishing ANY of the food. We pretty much left everything. I’m not sure if this place was this crapy bc of location (since it’s in the ball park) or it’s just crapy all the time. Either way I do not suggest going here. Wish them luck though!
