For more than 22 years, Cheese Chalet has specialized in take-​out lunches and dinners, catering, business lunches, party trays, gift baskets, and of course fine cheeses and other specialty foods. History

Established in 1976.

Cheese Chalet opened in 1976, when we wanted to replace another similar store whose lease had been canceled. This Newark, DE location sold only cheeses and specialty foods, with no kitchen. In 1988 we opened a new location with full kitchen to provide take-​out foods in an area whose population was growing quickly. Gradually corporate catering developed to become a very important part of the business.
