This place is a great neighborhood restaurant, always pleasant service and great food. The entrees Coke with soup or salad which is a great deal! Chicken scarpara is delicious! They always have great deals and coupons!

This is easily the best pizza in Delaware and it may be the only real pizza! Whenever you visit the staff makes you feel at home and you can smell fresh dough.

Service was terrible never got diner salad or bread. Wifes ceasar sald was warm. Sausage was pink and portions were very small

I visited this restaurant for the first time, the service was acceptable. The five stars was earned through the food! I arrived at 11 and was immediately helped and greeted… Was my first time so I asked for a minute while I browsed the menu to pick my perfect takeout lunch. After browsing through the menu at the nearest table, I decided on the crab raviolis. Turns out they were mediocre at best– homemade ravioli, garlic, oil. Flavors were good for what it was. However, I saw plenty of food out that looked «to die for». I am excited for my next visit and hopefully I make a better decision that is more in tune with my palate.

Nothing tastes fresh or homemade. Everything tastes store bought, frozen and reheated. I asked for light sauce, but my gnocchi were swimming in pesto. The gnocchi themselves were mushy, overcooked and just blah. The pesto sauce had no depth. To me, this is a glorified pizza place. The service was good, however. She was very attentive and informative. It is not a genuine Italian place though. There are many other options that are close by that are much, much better.

Very casual and relaxed atmosphere. I’ve had their tomato pie before and its top notch. Went for a full on meal/​dinner on a Friday night and I really enjoyed. We started off with corn fritters which several people at our table loved. I tried them, they were okay just not my cup of tea.
Table got two large pizzas (we had several kids with us), half cheese, half pepperoni– really good and one bianco cheese pie– VERY GOOD.
I got one of the specials– baked cheese ravolios in a garlic crab cream sauce– fantastic. Bread was only okay but i still used it to sop up the fantastic sause.
My sister n law and I both got entrees that came w/​a soup or salad– they forgot to bring us what we ordered so they threw in 2 cannoli’s at the end. They were awesome and much better than the boring salad I would have eaten.
Will go back again and again.

Stopped in here for dinner late on a Monday night. Have had a slice to go before and was pretty good. This night we started off with the bread. It was a little disappointing and tasted like it was left over from the weekend. Next came our salads. These were also disappointing and also appeared to be left over from the weekend. Some slightly brown pieces and some pieces almost frozen with cucumbers fully frozen. My creamy Italian dressing was very good and tasted homemade. So far off to a bad start. The waitress was very nice and when asked which was better the crab ravioli’s or the lasagna she seemed very sure the lasagna was fantastic. I love when the wait staff is passionate about something on the menu. We started off with a side of meatballs for an appetizer. They were huge and definitely homemade. Off to a good start and starting to get over the bread and salad. Next came the entrees. The hunk of lasagna was huge and full of meat. It was really good but could have used a little more cheese and sauce. The winner of the night was the short rib ravioli’s. The cream sauce was fantastic and flavor of meat was top notch. These were a solid 5. So much I was scrapping up the sauce and putting it on my lasagna. While leaving and stuffed to the point of no return I still managed to investigate the slice pies on the counter. The girl behind the counter threw some in a box and gave them to us for free! Heated it up today and it was delicious! We will be coming back for sure and just hope bread is fresher and salad is unfrozen next time. Also have had the tomato pie at functions in the past and it’s nice and full of garlic. Really good.

BellaVista Trattoria & Pizzeria is the best place in Delaware to eat-​in or take-​out.
Make sure you try the Pollo Bella salad. The pizza is the best.
Great place to meet with a group — inside or on the patio.
They have two locations — Shops of Limestone in Pike Creek and the Riverfront Market in Wilmington.

My wife, daughter, and I used to enjoy coming to your restaurant for pizza. Not sure we will back after our experience two weeks ago.
We came to your location in the Limestone Hills shopping center and the location was busy. Upon arriving we were asked if we’d like to sit outside, we asked isn’t it cold, the answer was no we have heaters out there. We were sat at the table out the door, all the way on the left, next to the window and the white tarp that has quite a draft blowing past the table. We didn’t think we’d mind the draft but til we finished dinner our feet were about numb and our daughter was complaining of being cold.
It took a while for someone to come to the table and take our drink order, seemed as though your staff was stretched really thin tonight. We ordered salads, a medium pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni, and peppers. Also a slice of cheese for our daughter. After the salads the wrong pizza was brought out to our table. A few minutes go by and our pizza was brought out. We asked about our daughters slice of cheese and the guy said it would be brought out soon. Almost what seemed like five minutes went by and her slice was brought out. She began to eat the slice and when we looked closer it appeared to not be cooked all the way.
We thought about saying something to the manager but just seemed so long for someone to bring our check, didn’t know how long of a wait it would be for a manager. At this point we were really disappointed with the whole experience. We decided to pay the check and go home. As someone in the service industry I wish to let the manager know there is definitely an issue with experience and service at your location.

I used to come to this place often bc I live super close to it. The food was always just Okay, but this past Friday I went there with family and all I can say is The Worst food I’ve ever had. I have no idea what happened to this place. My pasta was suffocating in heavy cream!!! My nephews’s slice of mushroom cheese pizza was so tasteless. The mushrooms almost tasted like chemicals. So awful. I will never go back.

Food was good. Pasta was very good, imported and al dente. Overall great value. Really cant complain for what it is. Part of a small strip mall and has in and outdoor seating (under a big commercial tend with heat lamps and AC). Service was all done twenty somethings but very good and carried about what they were doing. We will back to try the pizza. would go here over Anthony Coal fire up the street. More choice, better service and more value.

I was looking forward to a good Italian meal, I was sorely disappointed! First of all we were greeted by a hostess/​waitress with a mouth full of food, not a food thing! No placemats or silverware on the tables. The food was a disgrace to the Italian people. The only thing worse than the food was the service! I will not be back!

This is my favorite place for good, authentic, Italian food. Coming from an Italian family, this place is as genuin as it gets. Excellent food and service. We’ve hosted our graduation party there and have eaten there many times over the years and they have yet to disappoint. The owners are always there to greet you and take care of you. Plus, you can’t beat their prices for the quality and amount of food you get.

My office purchased 4 pizzas and 3 salads for a staff lunch today from their river front market location today and had mixed reviews. The pizza was good but the salads were soggy and tasteless. We ordered one of each of three salads. Would not order salads again and that makes us go somewhere else.

Not that impressed. I thought my pasta was ok, but the little uniform sausage squares in it were weird and disgusting. My wife got a Stromboli that was not hot all the way through, yet the bottom was burnt.
What other reviewers said about the wait staff was correct: high schoolers. Actually, I found this to be the one of the better parts of the meal with one caveat. Very respectful and super attentive. Didn’t seem bored with their jobs like some young wait staff do. However, I got up to use the restroom which is down a narrow hallway and one of the male waitstaff actually pushed me to the side while he was running towards the kitchen. I think he was running to the kitchen in order to lock two of his coworkers out. Anyway, one of the two chasing the guy that shoved by me said, «Sorry, he’s an a$$hole.» Before also running by.
Just shows what you can get from high school age employees. They can be high-​energy, good work ethic employees. But the high-​energy can quickly turn juvenile and rowdy, which can really hurt the perception of the overall experience. That sort of talk and play doesn’t bother me really, but it’s not the kind of thing you’d expect from your waitstaff. Err… let me rephrase: it’s not the kind of thing that you want to see from you waitstaff, or the sort of thing that gets you a higher Unilocal review.

We were denied a table on the patio since there were only two of us.
Service was poor. Food was alright but not great. The restaurant was very noisy.

It’s pretty good for what it is. They have excellent rare sushi grade tuna sandwiches. The pizza’s ok and some of the pasta offerings are pretty good. All in all not bad, especially for what else is in the area.

It took me a while before I visited Bella Vista, thinking they were just another pizza place. Not the case. The food really is top quality. Great eggplant melanzane and pollo parmigiana, fantastic Bella Vista and Capricciosa salads, and some of the best tomato pie I’ve had. The owners are all very nice. The place is very casual, but the outdoor area is nice when the weather permits. I mostly get take-​out. Portions are generous (but not Café Napoli generous if that matters to you). Owners are very nice — Nunzio always says hello with a smile.
If you’re having trouble finding decent Italian food in the Pike Creek area, this restaurant is the place to try.

Whenever I come home, my family always goes to our favorite Italian place for dinner… Café Napoli. Knowing that we’re meeting friends there next week, we decided to check out BellaVista for the first time.
The space the restaurant encompasses looks like it could have been an old coffee shop… or meat market. It’s pretty small with the kitchen located in the open in the back right corner. There is seating for about maybe 25 people and, luckily for my cold-​blooded skin, the temperature is kept at a balmy 75 degrees. I was able to wear short sleeves and be completely comfortable.
The menu looked promising with lots of good options (but no veal as my Dad pointed out). I ordered the Pollo al Ferri but was slightly misled. The description says, «boneless chicken breast marinated and grilled served wtih garden seasonal vegetables in a lemon olive oil herb sauce over capellini.» Since this wasn’t the pasta section, I assumed the main point of the meal was the chicken and the veggies and pasta were considered sides. Instead, I received a pasta dish with cut up pieces of chicken that equaled the amount of veggies. The meal was actually fairly good, but I was annoyed about how it turned out. If I was going to get a pasta dish, I probably would have tried something else.
The scene is cute enough, the waitstaff is incredibly young (we’re talking high school student young, here) and we were sat quickly and our food came in good time.
Huge props for having olive oil (with seasoning and hot pepper flakes) that isn’t mixed in with vinegar. I would come back again JUST BECAUSE you didn’t add vinegar. Yeah, I’m that easy.
