We would have liked to stay and have dinner but the atmosphere was a little awkward. We were the only ones in the restaurant. The place needs a new vibe, maybe some awesome 90s pop playing or become a karaōke bar. The place has potential but needs better atmosphere. Also the guy didn’t know how to make any drinks! If you have a bar, you should know how to work it. The apps we got were so-​so. I’m sure if they advertised a bit and got enough customers to keep the kitchen hot and fresh it’d be good.

The food is was absolutely amazing! The service was great and although the server didn’t know all the dishes he was friendly and helpful. He quickly got the owner and she was able to answer all of our questions and had her chef make us delicious VEGAN dishes! I can’t wait to go back and try something different!

I saw this restaurant on Unilocal while trying to find a new place to go for dinner. The place is fairly nice but with few customers — possibly meaning not a lot of people know it’s here. Service was good and the meal was served in a matter of 10 — 15 minutes. The food was very good — a little hot but I did ask for spivey so I have no complaints. I would definitely give this place a try if you like Indian food.

This place is amazing!!! The chefs are extremely talented and the service was excellent. I will recommend this place to everyone! You must try the food, it’s wonderful! Staff was very friendly too. The bar was stocked very well and the atmosphere was very relaxing. 5 stars!!!

AMAZING AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD!!!
This is a new restaurant and the owner is a 23 year old graduate from UNCW that is continuing her education to international studies. They are very nice and the food was awesome. The drinks where great and the staff was very knowledgable on the food. I can’t wait to go again. Hopefully tomorrow !!!

Having moved here from Northern Virginia where there are countless great Indian restaurants to choose from, we were thrilled to see a new one pop up in Wilmington to give us some more variety. Balluchi is wonderful, especially with such authentic, quality food from the start. We ordered our standard favorites of lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer to see how Balluchi compared to our favorite Indian restaurants and the chefs came through with flying colors. The owner and staff were all very friendly. This restaurant is easy to drive by and not notice as it is tucked back from the street and attached to a Budgetel so make sure to look for it as it is worth a stop. We will be back!

I had a great experience here and plan to return soon! The owner was very nice and the food was surprisingly delicious. I ordered kadhai chicken which I highly recommend, and my wife was very satisfied with her thali platter. Thanks Balluchi!

This is a new restaurant so I thought I would give it a try. Their newness shows in the lack of organization. Our waiter didn’t know what certain food items were and even presented the dish wrong and when I corrected him on what I ordered he just said, oh sorry it all looks the same to me.
We ordered the chicken tiki masala bowl and Dahl Tadka bowl. The flavor in both dishes were lacking the Indian flare that most restaurants have. Very bland.
They do have a good selection and decent pricing (when they get it right — they tried to charge us the dinner price until we pointed it out and the apologizes and said waiter was new and fixes it).
I usually don’t give new places such a bad review because I know they have kinks to work out but the food was that disappointing. She mentioned they used to own another Indian restaurant so they should know how to cook.
