Saleh H Jacob, MD – NorthShore University Health System

I have found Dr. Saleh to be a good doctor, but his practice is really slow. I have never been seen promptly in his Evanston or Glenview office. I have waited in the exam room well over 30 minutes on three separate occasions. This is too long to wait for anything, especially when you have an appointment. I am not a frequent patient, so maybe this is bad luck, but it is enough to send me elsewhere.

I drive all the way from Frankfort IL to go to Dr. Saleh!!! He is the BEST he is AWESOME!!! I would go to NO ONE ELSE!!!

I love Dr. Saleh. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because the office at the Evanson location is horribly cramped. During busy hours, the tiny waiting room is so full that sometimes people have to stand. The exam rooms are just as bad — you can barely fit yourself and the doctor in there, let alone a guest like if you want to bring your husband to an OB appointment. The practice is obviously doing well, judging by the wait times, so it isn’t clear why they can’t or won’t move to a location with larger offices.

Wonderful doctor. I switched within the practice from a midwife to Dr. Saleh because he helped me through a miscarriage, and I felt more comfortable with his expertise. Through a lot of ups and downs, he has been such a kind and calming presence. I drive a half hour to see him, but it is well worth it.
And I can’t write this without a shout out to Maggie, his fabulous nurse. I feel like she’s one of my good friends. Awesome. She always calls me right back and never makes me feel like a jerk for calling for the dumbest things… i.e. she gets it.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Saleh. He has been our OB through three pregnancies. We had a miscarriage, a wonderful pregnancy, and an extremely complicated one. Dr. Saleh was great through every scenario. He is supportive, compassionate, calming, and the best doctor I know.
I also think it is telling that the nurses at the hospital all speak very highly of him. He has a terrific reputation at Evanston and is extremely well respected & liked.
I also love his nurse, Maggie! The entire experience from when you walk in the door until when you leave the office is great. I really do miss them when I am not pregnant.

I’ve been seeing Dr Saleh for months now and hesitated on writing a review because I was worried about him getting too busy for me to book but I just have to stop being selfish and put it out there.
He’s AAAAAWESOME!
After going to Dr. Belmonte for my first pregnancy check-​up, based on rave reviews (
) and a referral from a family member, I found out that she was out of my network and had to search for another OB to see.
It was frustrating because all the OBs on my list who had good reviews, were not taking new patients. So, I took a tip from a friend of mine who said, «Call the practice and if the staff is friendly and seem happy on the phone, the doctor is more likely to be a good one who treats his staff well.»
Hmm. good point!
I did just that and Dr. Saleh’s office was friendly, and helpful, great, and stayed that way.
There were times when even with an appointment, I had to wait quite a bit but he’s a busy guy! Babies come when they want and I can guarantee that the reason I was waiting, was because someone else was having their baby and Dr. Saleh was delivering it!
Okay, so long story short, my prenatal care was awesome. Forward to delivery… he’s so calm that it made me calm. This pregnancy and delivery was much easier than my first one because he’s so awesome =)
