Had a great gel manicure here. Love the chic environment of the salon. A lot of care was taken to give me a great manicure and it’s been over a week and it still looks good as new.

Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this location. I’m not sure if it’s like this for all locations but this one is not it. After about 3 days my nails started to pop off. My nail literally came off from the bottom, up. I spent way to much money for after a few days my nail to pop off. However the staff(for the most part) is nice, the Venue is amazing, however the quality is not okay.

Went to the 189 Grand location last week and was impressed with the quality of service. I received a gel polish change which included shaping my nails, minimal cutical trim, and hand massage. $ 22. Today I went to this location. I once again needed a polish change and was actively talking to the receptionist about coming in next week for a full mani and design. Little Miss Elva did my polish change. I noticed her not filing my nails to evenness and when I asked her to she said it wasn’t included in the polish change service. So, I had to do it myself… …then she was sloppy. I am still peeling gel polish off my skin. Finally she gives me the bill. 30 bucks. I pulled out my receipt from last week saying I was charged $ 8 less and asked if each location had different price points. They said no. Upon showing them the receipt, they did NOTHING. I walked away getting immensely RIPPEDOFF. BOTTOMLINE: Don’t waste your money. I am never returning to this scamming place.

I have been going to primp and polish since I moved to Williamsburg a little over a year ago and it is by far my favorite mani/pedi spot. I had been going to the Driggs location and was so excited when they opened the Lorimer location which is much closer to my apartment. The salon is clean and nicely designed. There service is always friendly and professional. The manicures are great in my opinion, same as their other locations. I never have to wait(granted I pretty much always make an appointment). I took my mom with me before new years and she really enjoyed sharing a couch with me while we had our pedicures. Highly recommended.

It’s a pretty average manicure/pedicure. The atmosphere is nice but it doesn’t seem cleaner than other places, and it’s much more expensive. I’ve also been cut a couple of times — once during a mani and once during the exfoliation part of a pedi. Overall not worth the price.

This location is still working through their kinks… no WiFi, no magazines and uncomfortable couches for pedicures. They also are not offering the weekly manicure & pedicure special at this location. After my manicure they brought out a cheap tiny dryer for my nails, since the professional ones hadn’t arrived yet. The manicurist had to redo a few of my nails, because the fan kept hitting them. It’s clean and the manicurists are very friendly, but I would wait until they are properly open and functioning for a few months before trying it out.
