Magical Playground

Bring my 1 year old son here its safe and clean so have no worries and lunch room so he can snack. I highly recommend this place better then a park it has A/​C and friendly safe and for a reasonable price and on top of that after you can enjoy Uptown Whittier

This place is absolutely the best ever! Started coming in August. And it’s just become a progressively better pace. Better staff. I had my twins second birthday party here went off without a hitch. I recommend this place to anybody with little ones.

I hosted my daughter’s 2^nd birthday here recently and I was very pleased with the outcome. This indoor playground had everything a toddler and a lil kid would love. I worked with the owner, Gina, to plan the party and she was extremely flexible and helpful, which is a must when planning a party. Her and her team helped me with setting up, keeping things organized and stress free. Not to mention, everything was very clean and safe; from the party rooms to the toys.
They also had the best face painter I’ve seen at a birthday party. The pizza that was provided from a local pizza restaurant was delicious and affordable.
There was so much for the kids to do and play with, they played non-​stop for 3 hours straight and there were no kids complaining they were bored. There was even music playing throughout the entire party to keep up the playful vibe.
All of my guest were so impressed they all said they are returning with their kids to play. I will definitely be frequenting this facility.

Took my 19 month old child today for the first time. He loved it very much and enjoyed all the age appropriate toys.
The reason im given them 3 star was because during our visit 6 adults brought in 2 children, which is fine because it is for children, but when the adults start playing on the slides and throwing balls around when my child was walking around is unacceptable my child was going to get hit.
The staff there was just looking at them without saying anything.
I grabbed my child and left, i should of asked for my money back.
I hope if I decide to go back this doesn’t happen again. If I go back.

Magical playground is one of the cutest and safest places to take your little one! My sis started bringing my nephew at 8months when he started crawling which was perfect! Now he’s a walker enjoying the place even more! Glad the new owner is making positive changes with the place my nephew loves it he’s a regular there lol

Thank god for the new owner. Boy has it changed. It is much cleaner, friendly and helpful staff with newer toys. My 7 and 9 year old had fun but were very happy to hear about the video games. I look forward to booking my nephews b day party in March.

A bit expensive for how small it is. However, clean, helpful, and local. My kids love it there.

My toddler loves it here. Looks smaller in person but to a toddler I’m sure it’s just perfect. We come by anytime we are going to be in Whittier for a few hours. Keeps my daughter happy and entertained for at least an hour each visit.

In all my years (and they are many) of playing on and taking my children to playgrounds, Ive never been to a more well thought out space. Its all a big eye candy fest: materials, use of color, tactile experience, performance stage, bridges, towers, and equipment designs Ive not seen before. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and knowing the city and many others helped bring Olenka’s vision to Palo Alto, I am grateful!

Small. Rundown. Stinky. Old toys. Extremely overpriced. Electrical cords hanging out behind the bounce house. Unfriendly front desk people. No music.
There’s NOTHING magical about THIS place.

Review for open play: Honestly I came right after they opened a couple of years ago and I thought it sucked. The jumper was in the front in an awkward spot and there were few toys. I have a ten visit pass and was dreading trying to use up all the visits but we came back today and it’s much improved! The jumper is toward the back and so there is a lot of open space and tons of new toys. Everything seems very clean. I’ve been to all three locations and this is my new favorite.

Stinks! Stinks! Stinks! In here! I wouldn’t bring my baby here again, it’s dirty and rundown. A lot of the toys are falling apart.

What a great spot!!! My wife and I were looking for a party location for our 3yr old and this was it! Talk about age appropriate enviroment, not only was it safe, but all the employees were very attentive, proactive, the place was clean, and the bottom line they made my sons birthday positively perfect! We didnt have to worry about older kids becuz of the age appropriateness of this facility. They can go to Chuckie Cheese and do their thing, (lol) this place was great. Ive got 5 kids, so speaking from experience, there isnt any other facility out there that provides this specific type of enviroment and meets the needs that my little tyke requires! Thanks M.P., especially to Alex and Sylvia, you guys were great, all the children in our party loved the free play time there! BTW, we went back a week later for free play time becuz the kids cant stop talking about the M.P.

This place turned me off as soon as I walked in with my three kids. West Covina is actually a magical playground. This place smelled terrible. Like athletes foot. Small as heck and looked run down. Even my kids were like «hell no! let’s go to the book store mommy!!» Never coming to this location again. :/

Considerably smaller than the Pasadena or Covina locations. Much more geared for babies and toddlers than kids ages 5+. They also don’t play child friendly music — all sorts of pop, hip hop and rap playing vs clean, child friendly music. (Idk if that’s just a one time thing or a regular thing). However, the facility is new and clean. I won’t be bringing my 5 and 7 year old back to this location, they loved the Pasadena location but there just wasn’t enough to occupy them here, which is why I gave this place a 3 star. If I only had my 13 month old with me I would have given it a 4 star

The below information are my opinions, based on my experience with the Magical Playground — Whittier.
This place could be good for 2 and unders, if there was a designated section blocked off from older children. As you will see in my below detailed experience, this is a major issue. Most of the staff are relatively friendly, though there is one in particular who is extremely rude to customers. I don’t know her name but, she’s not hard to figure out — her eye rolls, huffs/​puffs and sighs, as you enter the facility, are definitely up front and center.
Birthday party scheduling is a serious matter of frustration. They do not return phone calls, emails, etc. I actually had left several messages for the owner, as I was getting no help from anyone else, and it took my threatening to cancel my party to get a call back from the her. In fairness, things did get better from that point on but, to even have that experience is not ok. Note: we did pay $ 40 for a character to join our party. The characters are, from what I was told, supposed to attend the party, off and on, for a full hour. Ours attended for about 30 mins, in whole, breaking out every 15 minutes. Even after that ordeal, we still gave this place the benefit of the doubt and joined. We shouldn’t have.
Our family, unfortunately, had to end our membership with the playground. My child is just over a year old and was attacked by one of the other kids that attends regularly. Attacked meaning, hit, pushed, run down, and bit in the face. If a child is being that aggressive towards another… they should be asked to leave immediately. We took our child there to be safe and to play… to have fun — not to be bullied and attacked, ESPECIALLY A BABY!!! I did bring this to the attention of the playground and was told that the owner would be notified. If the owner was actually notified, I have yet to receive any calls in regards to the situation… or even just to see how my child is doing.
Though, I will say that this place is set up really nicely, and kids seem to enjoy it, there’s a lack of care for the children playing, in my opinion. The front desk attendants really don’t pay any attention to what’s happening on the grounds, nor do they give off the impression that they even care. The owner does not give this impression when she’s in attendance, to be fair. The toys are pretty clean but, of the ones that are battery operated, most do not work.
Again, these are my opinions and based on what I’ve experienced and witnessed. If you choose to take your child/​ren to this playground, keep a keen eye on them. If you have a baby, 2 and under — word of advice, watch the older kids around them. After my family’s experience, I recommend taking them elsewhere, unless they are 3+.
For my family — we will not give anymore of our $$ to this business.

This is a great new indoor playground for your little ones to enjoy. It’s clean and there’s large jumper and many toys for your totes to enjoy and explore this fun indoor playground.
The first time I get to check out this indoor playground was on their grand opening day and I was also here again for my best friend’s son’s 4^th birthday. He had a minion and toy story birthday theme party. This location is smaller than the previous locations in Pasadena and West Covina.
The bathroom is clean and there’s a room in the back where you can book your next event/​birthday party! They also different themes you can choose from as well. So you may have to call them directly to find out more or pick up a brochure if you decided to stop by :)
I would recommend this indoor playground to my friends who have young ones, especially if they live in the area or willing to drive out to whitter to check out this cute indoor playground. I know I would recommend to my friends, who lives in the area who have little ones to check out this cute indoor playground.
I don’t have any children of my own, but I would recommend this indoor playground to those who have toddlers and young kids for sure.

Been here twice. Both times the kids and I had a rather pleasant experience. It’s located in uptown whittier which has free 2 hour parking. Note that parking maybe be troublesome on weekends so plan ahead. Paid $ 9 for one first visit and $ 16 for two on the second visit for a clean, well ventilated, and maintained environment for the kids to have fun. Best part is there is NO TIME LIMIT! MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS WEARING SOCKS as they will not allow them in without. They sell juice, water and snacks if you forget or don’t get a chance to bring any. They have couches for us parents to sit on and supply free wifi which is awesome! A couple additional couches would be exceptional but I’d say the two suffice for now. It would be nice to have a couple more. There is a dining area in the back with windows for you to watch the kids while you eat. Only drawback is that the jumper completely blocks the view of the front. So if you are back there and kids run to play with the toys in the front area you will have to stop come out to supervise them more closely. Kind of inconvenient if you have hi energy ones as I have… You know 0 to 80 Stuff-​your-​face-​and-​run-​to-​check-​on-​them-​type-​kids. I suggest moving the jumper to the back corner to open up the space and improve visibility for all. This is the only reason I didn’t give this spot a 5 star rating.

My daughter enjoys this place very much, she can have fun and run around. Even with braces on her legs she can play in the jumper slide and enjoy all the fun stuff there with no problems. My 13yr old cousin also had a fun time. Me and my partner enjoy it as well, we get to join her in playing or sit comfortably on sofas while she plays with other children.

Brought my god daughter here to play since it’s so hot out! She loved it! Nice big space and great location for parties too! They sell socks in case you forget yours! They keep the place clean and it’s really affordable! She loved the jumper and played for hours!
