Great, great service! I grew up with my dad servicing the family cars with the manager, Rich. Now I live in Pasadena, I come here to service my car because I know it will be in good hands! Rich is patient, explains car lingo so I understand and always puts the customer first. Daniels is great, I recommend the Whittier and La Habra sites. Rich will take care of you. (Oh yeah, you’ll know Rich is in if his red Nissan truck is parked in the front!)

Yeh sure they give insurance on their tires, then tell you it will take 3 to 4 hrs. to a plug a flat tire… and i think you should know, when they sold me tires, they didn’t mention they don’t have the machinery to do the alignment until the tires were already installed! Who accepts a job to replace tires without being able to do the alignment, then doesn’t give us a discount or anything and the same place named «…TIRE SERVICE»

I don’t normally write reviews on Unilocal as me and my family usually use Unilocal to find fine dining wherever we may be… that being said, I wanted to take a moment of my day to thank Richard and his group for all they have done in my last (2) visits to the Whittier location. From the first time we walked in the door to when we drove off the lot, you guys were outstanding-​keep up the great work! If you are need of a good mechanic, here in Whittier, I recommend you pay Richard and his group a visit… they have earned a customer for life.

Not a bad experience at all. Had my breaks done on my 2008 Mustang. Although I wanted something like a basic brake job, I got a good deal on premium brake service for the price of the basic. Breaks are working well. Thanks for the discounts too.

We all need to get work done on our cars. They have discounts and specials all the time. It’s fast and friendly. Richard will make sure the work is done right! This is where I get the tires and alignment done for the cars I sell at my dealership.

Came here to get my breaks checked. Said they could not tell what it was using there scanner, so I would have to pay a $ 100 fee for them to tell me what it needed, it was not so much the fee to tell me what i needed, but that he on top of the $ 100 said I would need to «leave it a few days.“Technicians broke one of my keys in the door while trying to open it. They dint even bother to tell me, I found out next time I wanted to get in the car. Don’t come here. You been warned.

Can’t go wrong with Richard!!! Came in due to a nail in my tire. I was able to get it repaired in no time. No pressure to buy anything. Have known him for years and he is always super honest. All my cars come to him… wouldn’t go anywhere else. :)

The wife and I each got tires here based on the positive reviews. I should have looked more closely at the negative ones. The problem began two weeks after I purchased four tires from these guys for my car. They fill them with nitrogen, which I thought was pretty cool. Boy, was I wrong. The tire pressure monitor light came on one morning, so I took it in. One tire was low by a couple pounds. No big deal. The streets of downtown LA can be pretty rough, especially with all the construction going on. About 4 weeks later, same thing. I go back after work, thinking they’ll just pump some more nitrogen into ‘em and send me on my way. I walk in and there’s two people ahead of me. Well, that shouldn’t be a big deal for a well run, well staffed tire place, thinks I. Yeah, well think again. Richard curtly informs me that I can leave my car if I want, but it’ll be an hour and a half before they can look at the tires. I say, hey you just pumped some nitrogen into them last time. Oh no, he tells me. Nitrogen doesn’t leak, so 90% of the time there’s a nail or other problem. BS. I walk and as I do he says you can bring it back tomorrow, we open at 7. Hey pal, I start work at 6. I go home– furious– and check my tire pressure. ALL 4 are low from 3 – 4 pounds and no visible punctures. Non-​leaking nitrogen? How about lying service manager, instead? I pull out my compressor and fill them myself. Guess what? 3 days later, they’re still fine. Nail, my @$$. Just be honest and tell me, we got your money up front and now we can’t be bothered. At least I’d give you points for not peeing on my leg and trying to convince me that it’s raining. Bottom line, if they give you a decent price on tires, plan on going somewhere else for service as these guys are what give automotive service professionals a bad name.

Bad experience with these guys. I’d give them zero stars if that was an option. I just purchased tires at Costco so needed to get the alignment done since Costco doesn’t do that. I called Daniels Tires to see how long the wait is and the tech says they can take me right away — that they weren’t too busy. So I show up 10 minutes later and the manager says I’ll have to leave the car and denied that anyone told me they could do the work right away. Really??? Why would I make up something like that? Worst customer service and attitude that I’ve experienced I a very long time!

I was driving on metal. Sean at Daniels took great care of me… i would highly recommend them… i can now relax while driving… courteous.integrity.great customer service. i have a new place for tires and so much more. thank you Sean

My wife’s car needed a new tire. I called around looking for the tire and everyone said it was a special order and would take a few days to get in… I didn’t have a few days to wait.
I called up Daniel’s and Richard was able to get the tire I needed from his warehouse within an hour, plus it was cheaper than other places I looked at. Once I got there the tire change was done in about 45min (I added an oil change too).
Excellent customer service.

Had a not so good experience at Daniels Tire Service in Whittier today. I was there to have my tire pressure checked and felt completely ignored by the manager, Mr. Montaño. If I need to wait to be serviced, that’s ok. But please communicate with me. Another customer was obviously more important to him than I was, however, I will not allow anybody to blatantly ignore me. Sorry, this was the last time I have visited that store. I went to Daniels Tire Service in La Habra and had a great experience. Congratulations to a staff that understands customer service.

Richard Montaño works here, he used to work over at Pep Boys, and he rocks. Never tries to sell you stuff you don’t need, (integrity).That is why people trust him and keep coming back to him.

As a female, I run into that «SHE doesn’t know about cars…» attitude from mechanics and have even had a couple try to sell me things I don’t need or charge me more because they think I don’t know any better.
Little did they know, but I know a lot about cars, but not how to fix them. I left many a mechanic wondering why they didn’t get the business. Over 10 yrs ago, I met Richard Montaño. He was the store manager at a competitor’s store (across the street :-p), who came to work at Daniel’s Tire Center 2 months ago. I have followed him to whatever store (and company) he has gone to.
Just look for his red pick up truck out front. That’s how you know that he is there!
My car was having some issues shifting in lower gears. I thought it was going to mean a transmission replacement. That’s big bucks I don’t have right now. Richard drove it, checked the trans fluid and recommended a full trans flush with new fluid + cleaner first. This would be much less of a cost than the trans replacement. They did the work and Richard was right! It didn’t need a replacement, just a really good cleaning. Thank you Richard for saving me hundreds of dollars.

Wow! Let’s me say it again wow!!! Best service ever, I didn’t feel like I was being sold, but educated, the manager explained to me in detail, the purpose of the updates and services due to the year and mileage of my car. I do my own services at home but after coming here I feel like maybe its worth it to take my vehicle every time, the staff very friendly, as a Whittier resident they made me feel like family, I highly recommend this facility, most knowledge I have ever received in the automotive scene, I will keep coming back and tell my friends and family to come, and whoever reads this, thank you once again Daniels Tires

My wife got a flat just as she when to work one morning. Once AAA change her tire and she got home I saw the damage to the tire. The next day I went to the Whittier store where I purchased the set of 4 to get the tire replaced. To my surprise the gentleman at the counter told me that the roadside repair warranty I purchase covered this damage and I would only have to pay a prorated cost from normal wear and tear. Thank goodness for the warranty it’s saved me a lot of money. Not only did they take care of the damage tire, they also rotated the tires as well. The gentlemen at the counter and the rest of the staff where very friendly. They are definitely a service station I recommend.

Long time customer. Bought four tires and four shocks. One of the new shocks was bad so mechanic went back to supply shop and came back with the same bad shock (there where not any more of that type of shock on hand) and installed it.
I assumed he went somewhere else and got a new one? In short, one of my new tires was showing some serious wear. What if I had went on a long journey and something bad happened as a result of this underhanded doing? (I thought). I eventually went back and told the manager. All I got was a «There’s nothing I can do»? oh, and a blank emotionless stare. So, for all of you from me. Please be aware and know that the almighty dollar comes first over the oh so valued customer. I wont be returning the Whittier store observing it has reverted to typical type.
