I got some ice cream, milk and egg nog. There is a dairy store next to the ice cream shop. I loved getting ice cream, visiting the cows in the back and then buying milk at the dairy store. What an experience!

It’s the best ice cream in the area hands down. Its all homemade which is evident by the cows they have out back and let graze in the summer. I always get a vanilla frappé or a vanilla cone. But they have tons of flavors and options. They have a really good banna split. Even in the summer you get what you want pretty quick because they have so many windows to accomodate all the people.

Delicious. I love this place so much. The best I ice cream I’ve ever had. I always get vanilla ice cream with m&ms. M&m isn’t even my favorite kind but here it is! So amazing!!!

Would be higher rating if they had a place for you to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Avoid if you have kids unless you want it all over your car or want to wander around a busy parking lot wondering why a place this big can’t even have a single picnic table.

There are not a lot of places I have frequented since my childhood, but this is one of them! Super yummy ice cream. Creamy and delicious– worth all the extra calories. My only complaint is that there is no peanut butter flavor.

Best ice cream around– excellent quality. We get year– round — doesn’t matter time of day. Recommend anything they sell BUT the Reese’s cookies are amazing !!!

I cried a little when the boy said he wasn’t going to take a summer class at Bridgewater. You see, he conveniently swung by Peaceful Meadows on his way home and I would be the happy recipient of a ½ gallon tub of creamy goodness for $ 7. So well priced that I find it difficult to pay the $ 4 for the quart. Ample parking off a busy main road, the folks manning the registers and scooping your cones are friendly and efficient. There is building that sells knick knacks connected to a stable for the cows. I would say that there is about 15 flavors that are consistently on the menu with a one or two special guests. Counting down the days until the boy has class again… :-) Special Flavors taken off their site! January– Peanut Butter and Marshmallow February– Cherry Chunk March– Chip de Menthe, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup April– Mocha Chip May– Coffee Fudge, Ginger June– Carmel Pecan Crunch, Bubble Gum July– Peach August– Blueberry Cheesecake September– Apple Strudel October– Pumpkin November– Eggnog, Pumpkin December– Eggnog, Rum Raisin

Oh soooo yummy! When our kids were little, they loved to see the cows in the back. Really great Ice Cream with plenty of crazy flavors. We recently had a party and bought the small Ice Cream cake and it was huge! It’s was also DELICIOUS. They have a bigger Ice Cream cake too if you need to feed more than 10. Absolutely Fabulous.

No better ice cream on the planet. Wonderful fresh flavors, sublime creamy texture. See and smell the cows. Just as I remember from 50 years ago, but better.

The best ice cream place ever. Fresh and delish!!! I love the peppermint patty half gallon. It’s 6.50 better than buying a small or large; you get more ice cream than you pay for. Sweet tooth.

We go here a lot because it is close. It’s also always busy because it is sort of famous in the area. What has troubled me and continues to trouble me about this stand is their continued reliance on high fructose corn syrup as a sweetener. Putting the health debate aside sugar sweetened items just taste better and as they are also more expensive to produce it is a clear quality identifier when in 2015 a successful vendor continues to not turn away from it as a staple.

i am in love. my boyfriend is a former resident of whitman, and grew up on this stuff. in the process of introducing to me the history of his upbringing, we have been to peaceful meadows a multitude of times. their chocolate frappé is easily the best thing on the menu, though i have also enjoyed their frozen pudding ice cream(like a cross of rum raisin with fruit cake, in an ice cream– sounds awful, but is super yummy), as well as their cookies & cream frappé. but the chocolate absolutely takes the cake. i think that, in light of this super cold and snowy winter, if this place is open till 10pm each night, and at 9:30 there’s still a LINE… they must be doing something right. an added benefit is visiting the cows in the building just next door. made my night. we buy their milk and coffee milk whenever possible, to support local. i highly recommend.

Real, homemade, fresh icecream. It is a little pricey for the portion but entirely worth it if you are treating yourself. They have a wide variety of flavors, and some rotating specials per month. Coconut almond and Peppermint Patti are my favorite! Their whipped cream, amazing! Thick, creamy, heavy, homemade and comes in regular or chocolate flavors. Icecream cakes are inexpensive, plentiful but they offer only 1 simple design. They are all bundt/donut shaped only, no special themes or decoration styles. You can pick a few flavors of icecream for the inside. Your flavor of whipped cream for the frosting and sundae toppings. My son adores the cows! During the winter they can be visited in the barn or when it’s nice out — found roaming in the pastures.

Good ice cream. Good, friendly service. The barn with the cows is right on site too. Big private parking lot right on route 18. There is a store for fresh milk etc too.

If you are looking for homemade ice cream, look no further. Peaceful Meadows is a classic south shore joint for some truly authentic homemade ice cream. With the farm right next door, you know it’s the real deal. Super creamy and sweet ice cream, churned perfectly. I’ve tried so many different flavors here, there’s nothing I don’t like! Try anything!

I used to come here as a kid when we lived down the street before moving to California in 1996. I was visiting my best friend in MA last month and we went to go see our old house in Brockton. We stopped at Peaceful Meadows on the way home. It’s just as I remember it! We each got a cone and it was as good as I remember. We got our cones and sat out front, just like we used to as six-year-olds, 20 years ago. I’m glad to see Peaceful Meadows is still around. And that it’s just how I remember it as a kid.

Celebrating 50 years! This place has always been a childhood favorite. They make their ice cream there and you can even pet the cows. I’ve moved out of this area a long time ago but once in awhile i drag some friends for a Peaceful Meadows road trip. I love how they have specials like the Apple Cinnamon Sundae & Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream to name a few. I’ve read some of the other reviews complaining about few low carb/diet options at an ice cream place, I don’t know what they expect. Peaceful Meadows may not have 10,000 flavors but what they have is the best. Honestly the other places that boast assorted options. Your probably eating something that’s been sitting there for months… That’s not even healthy. Enjoy this place for what it is and if you want to be healthy go to the gym you pay a membership to that you never attend.

The ice cream here is creamy and amazing. It is the best I have had in New England. And that is saying a lot. There are a lot great ice cream places around here. The ice cream is made from the milk of the cows they have on site at the farm(it is literally a ice cream shack in front of a parking lot and behind a peaceful farm meadow). The ice cream is fresh, local, and delicious. It is a good deal if you buy in bulk. You can get half a gallon of ice cream for about $ 6.25. This is both great and not so great. It is great if you love top notch cream. It is not so great if you do want to go get diabetes. I highly recommend the banana ice cream. The dark raspberry is also very good. I also suggest buying your milk and eggs from their dairy store. They are the best milk and eggs, I have found in New England. Granted I have not tried very hard to find any better though. :)

Peaceful meadows is a hometown classic. They had cows roaming the grounds, giant cow head sculptures in the field and honest amazing ice cream. Always staffed with super friendly locals happy to give you a heaping helping of ice-cream tastiness. They are open year round, so don’t forget about them in the cold of the winter. They also have a little market store next door with farm fresh products and even some homemade sodas! Don’t miss their classic eggnog around the holidays, it’s perfect!
