Dunkin coffee is addicting especially the price difference from Starcrack’s. I love that there is one every 50 feet which makes it accessible. I also love giving youngsters a job as I feel like youth employment is a worthy cause but the service I received in my last 7 visits to this DD’s was painful and it would certainly give me pause if I was sure it was the norm rather than the exception. Look, every employee here is nice but they have neglected to put sugar in my medium hot regular so many times that either the manger needs a new sound system for the drive through or they need to be retrained. I never bring it back either for fear of what might happen. I just drink it or try anyway. They also consistently mess up my doughnut order– One chocolate glazed, one chocolate frosted. I can’t imagine if I added a sandwich to that what surprise I might get. I could live with the doughnut order if they put sugar in the coffee but the two together make me really feel like I would rather go to any DD but this most convenient one. Unfortunately I am gonna have to avoid it.

The attentiveness of the staff at this location is abysmal. Waiting four minutes before you are even greeted is normal. The staff at the drive-thru will look at you, but make no attempt to greet you, take your order, alert the counter staff, or even apologize for the wait. Several times they have stared at me while just standing there eating a sandwich. They will touch their face, hair, hat, uniform, etc. and never change their gloves. Once I had to wait over six minutes for service. The staff simply argued with me. I took the survey from the receipt and let them know. The manager and assistant manager pulled the tapes to see which customer complained. They called me out when I was in line. They were very apologetic and told me that they’ve redirected the staff to be more attentive. Though I appreciated the sentiment, I found highly inappropriate to call me out like that. The email I provided was sufficient. Needless to say, I am not going that route again. I go here seven days a week and only order two coffees. I have to stop at another location at least one third of the time, to have my coffee remade. This is mostly due to the fact that they walk away as I am ordering. I also have to repeat my order several times. I went through the drive-thru today. I placed my order, drove up and paid. After I paid, I was informed that they didn’t have the bagel I wanted. I asked for a different one. They came back and didn’t have that one. I asked what kind did they have and got a bit of an attitude from them. I then had to repeat my coffee order for them. The cashier laughed about it. All in all, this place sucks. They need someone to retrain and monitor the staff.

This review is specifically for the Whitman, MA Dunkin Donuts. There’s nothing more that I can tell you about Dunkin Donuts that you don’t already know, but what struck me and made me actually write a review for these places was the lack of service I received in both locations. I noticed that if there were«adults» on duty, the service was normal(although for these locations, I think«normal» is a little less than others) but the two times that I actually walked, the service was next to non-existent. The first encounter, I was the only customer in the store and it took me at least a minute or two to get someone to take my order and then when I was giving my order, a friend of the girl behind the counter walked in and a loud and very girly conversation ensued to the detriment of my order. The second location was the real killer. I walked in and was the only customer at the counter and a kid with a ipod headphone hanging out of one ear asked me for my order. I gave him the order and we both basically stared at each other until he went and got me the coffee, but when I tried to pay, he looked at me and said«I can’t take that»(meaning my money) without offering any other explanation. So I’m standing there kind of dumbfounded when some girl walked up to the register and asked me if the coffee was all I was getting — so I told her my order, including food, again and she rang me up. I have a feeling that both of these places are run by the same people and that a little bit of customer service training is in order. Until then, there’s a Dunkin Donuts on almost every street corner and MaryLou’s has a drive-thru in Weymouth.

Everyone always jumps at the chance to tell people about their horrible experience at a restaurant. Well, I am going to do just the opposite! Today, I had to pick up 8 gift cards from Dunkin Donuts. Of course it just so happens to be pouring buckets and my son, who requires the use of a wheelchair, has pneumonia. Awesome. I called over to the closest Dunks(near Star St.) and explained my situation. They were SO accommodating. They told me to give them 5 minutes and they would have the gift cards ready and waiting for me — in the drive-thru! How amazing is that?! I know it seems like such a simple thing as you read this but, trust me, this made my day infinitely easier. I didn’t have to load my son’s chair into the car while getting soaked, then unload it while still continuing to get soaked, then get my son situated in his now soaked chair … you get the point. Overview: –My son and I stayed dry. –Everything was correct and waiting for us at the window. –The girl at the window actually thanked ME for calling ahead. –My medium hot hazelnut coffee was made perfectly. This trip gets an A+. I was so impressed by the courtesy of the staff and I can’t thank them enough!
