Specialties
We pride ourselves in being a family run business since 1992. My dad makes homemade fresh mozzarella and my mom does all the delicious homemade cooking. The three brothers; Tommy, Mario and Angelo, along with pop Emilio and our good friend Pat, make great sandwiches and paninis. Our wonderful loyal clients tell us that we have delicious penne alla vodka, chicken parmigiano, meatballs, sausage and peppers. We also have a great steak sandwitch on Tuesday, grilled chicken and broccoli rabe on Wednesday & many other great tasting hot food specials daily. If you can’t make it for lunch we are told we have the best cappucino (hot or iced) and coffee in Whitestone to compliment a great egg sandwich. GIve us a try and you won’t be dissappointed. I would like to thank all the great customers we have had all these years for continuing to support us. At our deli you will always have a homemade meal made with the freshest ingredients. Eat well and stay healthy from the Tony’s Deli Family!
History
Established in 1992.
My name is Tommy, the oldest of 3 brothers at Tony’s. I started as a stockboy at age 14. At 17 I noticed the place for sale and mentioned it to my pop. He was a building engineer and mom was a medical assistant. My father said, «Let’s take a chance». My mother grew up in Italy and began cooking at the age of 8. My grandparents were farmers back in Salerno, and she would prepare dinner while they were out in the field. She continues to cook her old recipes as well as new ones, as she did for us at home, using no preservatives and of course always the freshest of ingredients. She loves cooking for us and our customers. Oh I can’t forget my dad who also helped make her a great cook. He was her biggest critic for their past 39 years of marriage. Thanks dad.
