Second best Peruvian restaurant– in White Plains. Here’s why. Pros: They are located next to a parking lot. The place is clean and is big enough for groups. Prices are adequate for the amount of food you end up getting. Their daily menu is their best deal($ 8.70) since they include a free drink and the portions are big. On average the wait is usually 10 minutes for every dish, so not too bad if you are in a hurry. Cons: The soft fried, chewy and juicy beef covered with a hint of soy sauce, wine and vinegar mixed with onions, tomatoes, basil and served with fries and rice makes Lomo Saltado one of Peru’s best dishes. This place makes it different.

Just left there and didnt even try the food, and heres why. I came into here excited to check out a new Peruvian restaurant in white plains since Miski closed down. I walked into here with 3 other friends who happened to be of color. I was immediately greeted by a young waitress who said in her latin accent but verbatim«you know this is Peruvian food, right»? I was put off somewhat by that but then responded to her in spanish that not only did I know it was Peruvian food but that I also enjoy Peruvian food very much. She said«ok» and told us to sit anywhere. We werent given any menus, and I had to go grab menus for me and my friends. She abruptly came up to us and rudely asked«what do you want». Looking passed that I asked if I could have the Yuca Frita’s as an appetizer and she said«NO» like literally NO. Myself and the table asked why we couldn’t and she said«It doesn’t come in a large size». I simply responded by saying if I pay more can you just put more Yuca(fries) on the plate so we can have it as an appetizer. With a nasty look and a strong swirl of attitude she nodded yes. Hurdling past that encounter we eagerly wanted to finish our order for the entrees. Now its a Peruvian restaurant, we came for Pollo la brasa, and its on the menu! As soon as my friend asked for it she cut him off and said«We don’t have any Pollo at all, we dont have a rotisserie machine to make it» It was stated in such a disgustingly rude tone and face that we were shocked. I also knew that was a lie because previous reviews for the place stated their pollo la brasa was bland, which means they do serve chicken and they do have the rotisserie machine! After a series of even more items on the menu thats seemed to have pleasure in telling us their out of this and that, we had enough. I got up and walked out and and told her«thank you but, but no thank you» and left. She didn’t even blink and just walked back to the counter. Not sure if it the race of people I happened to be with or she was having a bad day but I tend to think the first. She seemed to be serving the others in the packed room just fine! Point being never again! If you don’t want to serve certain types of people than just post it on your door! This isn’t the first racist Peruvian place I’ve been to, but at least they served us food then!

Excellent food, great service. I enjoyed the aeropuerto(Airport) dish which is Peruvian Chinese type of flavor … So good.

I had the lomo saltado and ceviche. I’m Peruvian so I have pretty high standards as I’ve tried tons of Peruvian restaurants in the NY metro area. It was good but not amazing. I would return and am interested in trying other dishes. Also, location is very convenient. I parked in public lot behind restaurant. Def worth a try!

I’m giving this place 3 stars because the service is really good. The staff members go out their way to make you feel welcome. Unfortunately the food is not that good. The seasoning of the main Peruvian dishes is off. It’s a new restaurant so I will continue to give the the benefit of the doubt. I hope they improve their food.
