Golden Krust Bakery

Food is great. Some of the ladies behind the counter need a hug. Others are very pleasant but some are just plain f***ing nasty for no reason.

One of the best Golden Krust restaurants in the country, as I’ve been to a few. The lines are usually long, because the food is great! Well done!

Came in a little after 8pm on a weeknight after having called just a few minutes prior to see if they had any patties, I noticed the patty case was empty upon arrival. I waited on line and asked the young woman at the register if she had any remaining to which she replied yes — chicken and beef. I then asked if it were regular beef or cheesy beef and she tartly responded regular to which I asked for two chicken. Apparently, the patties were being held in a warmer in the kitchen as they were preparing to close at 8:30pm.
As she swung the door, I attempted to call her as I’d just gotten a text from my sweetie asking for coco bread with his patty. As the young woman approached the counter, I asked her for the bread and she actually continued towards the counter, which led me to believe that the bread was kept up front. You would think I asked her for a vial of blood that was being stored in Mobay’s museum. The woman glares at me, turns around and does a thigh-​scrubbing waltz to the kitchen. Upon returning, I apologized to her and even thanked her when she took my cash. No response — just another glare. I take my change, say thank you again to which I still get the silent treatment. Upon exiting the store and entering the parking lot, I check the contents of the bag and the coco bread is soaked. Rippled, as if it were wet with something. Not looking to return to deal with this homely woman, I asked a gent that was carrying cases of drinks from the basement to the store if the bread looked odd. He agreed it did. I asked if he were the owner to which he confirmed he was not, so I told him what happened. He continued to look at the bread uneasily but tried to calm my concern something had been done to it.
I ultimately tossed the item. For a dollar and an extremely nasty employee, this location has certainly lost my business. It’s unfortunate that nasty Caribbeans take on these positions yet have no customer service skills whatsoever. I get that it’s hot, I’m sure they’re underpaid however as a customer, that is not my concern.
I live in the area and have seen a number of business go under so I cannot understand why the franchise’s owners allow this type of behavior. What a nasty individual, both inside and out. Careful folks.

Very disappointed. Went to purchase breakfast items that were not ready. If your establishment opens for business at 7:30AM and a customer arrives 15 – 20 minutes after opening the breakfast items should be ready. Apparently they would rather lose business than make sure the customers are happy. Unfortunately this is not the first time but it definitely will be my last.

Great dinner! SOOO GLAD I went today after the gym! I don’t know why some locals say that Golden Krust can’t hold it down … This food is SLAMMIN”!!
I can totally fall in love with it I feel like I’m back in Jamaica while eating it! I can taste the coconut & thyme in the rice and peas and the chicken is nice & season up & spicy but not too spicy — just the way I like it! And a medium is PLENTY for one person to eat with leftovers!!! I was starving when I went in & there was a line but it went down quick! I also got some coconut cake which I will eat for breakfast tomorrow !! I have never been to this location & I was very surprised. It was a great meal, staff was friendly & food was fresh! I cannot wait to go back next Sunday!

The food… The treats… The juices and drink are great… The service, well, that needs work :-)
