No appointment needed to drop-​off. Occasionally, shop needs to temporarily close for new drop-off’s. Please check the website for updates and all consigning info and policies.

I love shopping and consigning here. The owner not only has a great selection of clothes, but also has a great selection of used books. It is well organized, and I always find quality outfits, jackets, or books here. I especially go to Wear and Share around Halloween or Christmas time. She always has a nice display of holiday-​themed clothes & books.

I like Wear & Share a lot! My first experience consigning was that I ended up taking quite a bit home, but that was my fault for not organizing it better. Kate is great, sometimes focused on her work, but she is the owner of a very busy little shop! She’s always been pleasant to me. I love the idea of buying nice second hand clothes, the idea of recycling nice brand name clothes instead of buying new expensive clothes is great! Especially since they go through them so fast!

Unfortunately, I had to stop shopping at Wear & Share due to the shop owner’s choice to use a heavy fragrance in the store. For my children and me, perfumes, colognes, deodorizes, etc. can cause adverse health effects, which we experienced on a visit to the shop. When I contacted her to see when she had begun using the fragrance (which is so strong I can smell it from outside the store) and to let her know about my chemical sensitivity and how fragrance affects my family, the owner responded very uncaringly and told me I’m free to shop elsewhere if I don’t like the way she does things.
I can’t support a business that takes that attitude toward a once-​eager customer. Sad for me because I miss out on this shop, and sad for Wear & Share to miss out on learning about an important health issue among their customer base.

Great place to find kids clothes! I tend to leave with things for my daughter AND friends. Given the nicer brands and good quality of clothing, I’d say the prices are decent. I also appreciate that they knock down prices as time passes. They also sell baby gear, books, toys, shoes, etc. As other reviewers have mentioned, the costumer service isn’t the best. I’ve never consigned with them so I can’t vouch for that experience, but when I walk into a store I like to be recognized. One other complaint would be that the store layout isn’t very friendly to strollers. I’m always knocking into things and generally feel like I’m in the way.
Bottom line: if you have kiddos and enjoy resale shops, this place is worth checking out!

As a Professional Organizer, I am always on the look-​out for options for my clients who would like to donate and/​or sell their belongings. I made an appointment with this cute little store to drop-​off some clothing. The appointment consisted of a woman (she did not introduce herself) inspecting the clothes and directing me to fill out a form. She rejected one piece, placed the others in a plastic bin on the sales floor and dismissed me saying I would receive a follow-​up e-​mail in two weeks. I am not sure if all consigners receive this brisk, disinterested treatment, but I did not feel comfortable trusting the store to keep track of my items. I retrieved the clothes out of the bin and left. Weird.

Prices are reasonable most of the time. Sometimes I feel like the Carters stuff you could find cheaper on sale, new at the Carters store but for the brands I go there for like Baby Gap, Jack and Jane, etc. the prices are much better than what you would find in stores. The nicer brands are the ones I go there for anyways and they usually have some pretty adorable outfits there. I’ve found a cute baby Gap jeanjacket for $ 7, cute slip on driving shoes from baby gap for $ 3, and a really cute baby Gap skirt and top for under $ 10. Also have found some other really adorable more expensive items at a better price– only very lightly used and in very good condition. I only have experience buying girl clothes so can’t comment on the boys selection. Have also bought some toys and books at a good price. Although Ive never purchased furniture or strollers, etc the prices of these items seem reasonable if you want used and hte condition seems good. The place is pretty cute and it’s nice to support local shops.

I think Wear and Share is doing a great job and is to be commended! I have always found a good selection of clothing for girls though have found a few things here for my son as well. Their selection for boys clothing is not as vast as it is for girls. But that very well could be because boys tend to be more active in their clothing. Because this is a consignment shop, not simply a Good-​Will or the like, they limit themselves to higher end clothing in good to great condition. I’ve read the other reviews which were posted prior to mine. Most were positive. While I’ve yet to consign anything there (though I do have an appt for this afternoon to drop off items), I have consigned at other places for women’s clothing. I’ve found it across the board that most places take appointments and not drop-​ins. This is a good business practice as it allows for them to be serving customers or taking care of internal issues. If I were running this, I would do drop-​offs set by appt only as well. While one person wrote that there were items priced at $ 20.00, it is common to price an item which is in great condition at 75% of the original price. Having browsed dept stores, I can attest that there are high end children’s clothing at $ 80.00. I think their pricing structure is fair. I will continue shopping here for as long as I live in this area (or until my children are too old).

This is a nice shop. It’s clean, they have stuff that’s in good shape and there is a large variety of items. I do have to say though, the prices are inconsistent. Some of the toys seemed well priced, but the clothes seemed overpriced to me. Some over $ 20. Seems really high for a second hand store.

I really enjoy this store! I’ve bought my baby girl a lot of very nice things here (Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, The North Face etc…) and there is a great selection of handmade bags and headbands. The new location is wonderful and has a much bigger selection! Kate the owner is very nice and she is doing a wonderful job! Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed today. I was so excited to drop off items today for the first time since I had the day off. Upon arrival, a sign sits saying that drop offs are now Tues, Thurs, and Sat by apt. The website’s info is different, stating M-​F drop-​off. There was no one shopping, but the employee still would not take my items. I can say that the selection was not plentiful right now. My items would have made a nice addition to the girls’ selections.

I took some boy clothes here with hopes of getting some money. I knew chances were slim based on my last observation and I was correct. Only 1 thing sold and I got a whopping $ 3.45. No I didn’t have any fancy clothes, but they were all clean and in good shape.
When I went to pick up the items that didn’t sell, there was no doubt in my mind what part of the problem was. This shop had gotten even more girly since the last time I visited! I even spied pink soccer shoes. The boy clothes are in a rack towards the back of the store and not in an easy spot to view.
That’s ok if that’s the market you want to target, but tell me up front that sales of boy clothes are pretty limited. That’s all I want.

Thanks for buying my stuff! So far, I’ve made about $ 75 here. Granted, I’ve spent $ 50 buying other people’s stuff… it’s definitely working out to be a mutually-​beneficial relationship.
Tip: Certainly better for buying girls clothes. Boys stuff is slim pickings for those of us who are super picky.
Tip: When Kate passes on your items, take them to Child of Mine (or whatever it’s called) in Oakbrook. You get garage sale prices, but that’s better than nothing. Then, I just drop off everything left at a donation spot.
#1 rule: IT CANNOT COME BACK IN THE HOUSE! ONCE IT LEAVES, IT’S GONE FOREVER.

I like Wear and Share. They have a cute selection of clothes and books that are in very good condition. Its not a dumpy resale shop like Once upon a Child (ick). Its well-​kept, clean and nice inside and a lovely shopping experience. 4 stars for that aspect!
I’ve also worked with them as a consignor. If you have excellent clothing and higher end/​boutique brands you will get very good money IF they sell. (I’ve consigned and had success with boys 24mo-​4T Gap, Knuckleheads, Ralph Lauren, Timberland, Gymboree, Green Dog and Little Maven).
However, the owner now has a system where you have to make an appointment to drop off your clothes, give her a week to go through them, pick up the clothes she’s not taking or she will donate them. Then you have to go back and pick up the clothes that dont sell after a certain time frame or she’ll donate those too. It was too much back and forth for me and the gas required didn’t justify the $$ so I am not able to deal with them anymore. Lots of consignors will review on the spot during your appt but she no longer does that which is too bad. If I lived in Wheaton I’d visit more often.

A very nice little resale shop which opened recently. I visited from out of town and found a few things to buy. The prices were very reasonable for the quality brands and the owner was very helpful. If I lived in the area I would stop by more often because new things come in all the time. The shop was just changing over to new spring clothing, so the winter jackets and sweaters are on sale!

Great new store! I dropped off lots of items size 5 – 14! I also bought a jenga game and some books while I was there! Love it!
