We needed an official evaluation written up by a psychologist for our overseas adoption a few years ago. Dr. Ken Davison at Maudlin & Associates is kind, wise, down to earth and a great listener. I highly recommend him!

I saw a therapist (still present) in this practice for almost a year when I was in my mid-​twenties, and in the midst of a crisis. I found the therapist cold and difficult to trust; the therapist’s questions were neither probing nor insightful. Not only did she lack empathy and warmth, her approach to therapy felt like a «paint by numbers» project.
In hindsight, having since seen another therapist for a number of years, I recognize the extreme qualitative difference in experience.
Therapy is supposed to be a place of openness and trust.
This was not.
You can most definitely find a better environment in which to work on what you want to address.
