I got to see Kevin in action. I watched him quietly photographing the room at a wedding reception. I was intrigued. He was obviously very professional, but the shots he was taking did not look at all like what the typical wedding photographer takes. He’d duck down low to get a unique angle, factor in the natural light instead of just relying on flash, he discretely followed guests to capture them in one of those spectacular moments of glee you just can’t get by «saying cheese». And then I got a chance to talk to him. I saw this flicker in his eye and I realized then that this man gets it. Before me was a man who truly enjoys his place in the world and you could see that this man has those «HELL YA!» moments in his own head. I left the event on a mission to learn more. At the time I was dating a photographer in the making (and to date all he’s made is a bunch of people miserable). I showed him Kevin’s website and he actually looked at me and said that this was some of the most amazing work he’s ever seen. Now for this man to pay a compliment to anyone, let alone another photographer… I expected the pits of hell to open up.
KB Photography «gets it». Here we have two very creative, energetic photographers who absolutely love their job and continually strive to learn more; try new things. With them you get the unique male and female perspective. It’s interesting to see the subtle differences and together they are like the dynamic duo of the photography world. With them you get smart, fun, driven, creative, talented. With them you also get worry free. When a wedding/​special event/​momentous occasion is all said and done, when the guests have gone back home, the food is tossed out, the remnants of the cake are mopped up, the honeymoon is over and you’re headed to work because real life has kicked back in. what are you left with? Memories. Photos. And when you look at them they spark feelings of joy and pride, surprise and excitement. You get to relive that day all over again through your photos. Kevin and Jessica get it:)

I have to share with you all how truly AMAZING Kevin and Jessica are!!!
We chose KB Photography to capture the beautiful essence of our 7 month old daughter. With sub-​satisfactory experiences elsewhere, the tough critics that my husband and I are were totally blown away by the gallery of our baby!
Kevin and Jessica came to our home so that our daughter was comfortable in her natural environment. Although they did offer to go to any location of my choice, I wanted to remember exactly how my daughter looked while doing the things she does every day. They were both so nice and took the time with my clingy baby to have her warm up to them. They had her smiling in no time! At my daughter’s first wince, Kevin suggested a break for her to have some mommy time. They were so in tune to my baby!
The highest expectation that we have when it comes to professional photography is that the personality and natural beauty is captured. I must say that the pictures far surpass our highest expectations! The investment that we made in the pictures of our daughter was the best we’ve ever made. Looking at the pictures, they are a true depiction of who my daughter is as a 7 month old. We couldn’t be happier! I HIGHLY recommend KB Photography and if anyone is interested in viewing some of my images, I would be happy to show them off!!!

So, although not getting married anytime soon, I have had the pleasure of working with Kevin and Jesse Bergthold — the owners of KB Photography on a couple different project events.
I recently had the great opportunity to participate in a Boudoir shoot where Kevin was one of the photogs. Not that every photographer there didn’t bring something unique and precious to the shoot, but Kevin’s work truly stood out. He is a master of lighting and positioning. He understands the concept of beauty in photography and is a true artist.
If I had to take all 15 photographers work from this event and choose 1 photographer that I could only work with for the rest of my life — it would be Kevin.
These guys are going to shoot a family portrait of me and my mini-me’s this spring and I can’t wait to see what original, unique keepsake I get from them.
Professional and just awesome in general.
