Called for an appointment today at 1pm. They scheduled me to come at 3pm to get my taxes done with someone named Rosemary.
I arrived a little early and Rosemary sits me down around 3:30pm. She seemed really nervous for some particular reason and just really agitated. We started talking and her whole face, and hands were turning red (shaking/​trembling).
She had no idea what she was doing and asked me if I could file my taxes at home. If I was going to do that, I wouldn’t of come here in the 1st place.
She was rushing everything and didn’t care to ask me anything that would help with deductions. She was very incompetent and I’m just in disbelief of how someone this dumb could be doing other people’s taxes.
At the end, she said to file my taxes with H.R. Block the total cost would be $ 453.00. I wasn’t sure if she thought I was dumb like her or she’s just that bad/​lazy at her job. Needless to say, I thanked her and said I would get this done elsewhere.
Stay away from this place and any other of their locations. They are scam artists and they have idiots working there.

Very poor experience. I visited the Hanover, Massachusetts office last week to inquire about H&R Block’s «Second Look Review». Speaking to the Manager at that site, she informed me that her office was a training site until after January 5th so she made a 10 AM appointment for me at the Weymouth Landing H&R Block, in Braintree, Massachusetts.
I arrived at the store this morning for my 10 AM appointment and wasn’t seen until 10:20 (no receptionist). When «Kevin» came out to greet another customer, he noticed me and asked if he could help me. I explained that I had the 10 AM appointment and he appeared not to know about the appointment, or the purpose of my visit.
When we went back to his desk, he complimented me on how thorough my records were but said that this would have to be a «drop off» because he couldn’t get it done that day. I asked when I could pick up my records and he told me, «after January 5th» (today being December 20th).
I asked why the appointment was made if I would need to come back in two weeks ?
This was a complete and utter waist of my time. I woke up early and readjusted my off time to accommodate this appointment and absolutely nothing was accomplished.
Not a big fan of H&R Block at this point !

I have gotten my taxes done at this location for the past 4 years. I see the same «senior tax adviser» every year. She is very nice and does a very good job. Co-​workers of mine seem to have a harder time when getting their taxes done and seem to be more confused about what deductions they can take. Im an independant contractor so my taxes can be tricky but they take a little over an hour every year (which is nothing with so many receipts and deductions). I will be back next year.
