The Learning Zone

We love The Learning Zone! Our 1-​year old has been going there since she was 3 months old, and during that time we have seen how caring and attentive the staff are. Every morning when she arrives, all of the teachers (not just the two in the infant room) greet her by name and she practically jumps out of our arms to see her teachers, she’s so thrilled to be there. And when we pick her up at the end of the day, she’s often having so much fun playing with the staff and the other kids that she doesn’t even pay attention to us. I also love that they have Kindercam webcams that you can log in to, so you can view the kids during the day. As a first time mom, I felt so much better about dropping off my little one knowing that I could peek in on her occasionally from work. The hours are also wonderful for working parents. It may not be the fanciest daycare in town, but if you’re looking for care providers who genuinely care about your kid it’s an amazing option.

Prices are fair and reasonable. My children all go there, and I love the cameras they have in place so I can check in while I’m at work. We particularly love Silvia & Becky from the ABC class as it shows she is passionate about her work and her care for our children. I’m giving this a 4 instead of a 5 because I feel the director of the place is not doing her due diligence of informing parents when an outbreak occurs in the classroom (ie, hand-​foot-​mouth, stomach bug, etc) and as parent’s, we cannot do anything till our child is infected. Which causes them to miss daycare, parents taking time off to tend to our kids for missing daycare…

I really cannot say enough good things about The Learning Zone in Weston. We send our two kids there and we have been so pleased and our kids have been so happy there. They are so flexible and accommodating and the owner and teachers are absolutely wonderful. I feel so comfortable and secure when I drop our kids off in the morning knowing they are in such caring hands. I love the special instructors that come in each day (a different one each day, i.e., a story teller, music, yoga, happy feet, etc.) and the fact that they provide lunch (only an extra $ 2 per day) makes our morning much less crazed with one less thing to worry about. The webcam is a great feature too. I completely trust the teachers so I do not feel the need to sit there watching all day, but it is nice to pop on once in a while when I am missing them to see them enjoying their day. When I originally toured The Learning Zone my one and only concern was the noise from 128 when the kids are outside in the playground (you cannot hear it at all when inside). I only mention this because other parents may have the same concern. One of the teachers pointed out that the kids are typically outside in the morning or later in the afternoon when the traffic is heavier so the cars are going slower and it is not as noisey. All the great things about this center outweighed this one minor concern that I originally had which now I do not think is a big deal at all and I doubt the kids even notice it. When I pick my kids up they are clean, with wiped noses and dry diapers. One reason I am writing this review is because when I was looking for a daycare I could not find many reviews on-​line for places so I thought this would be helpful to other parents when scouting out child care. The other reason I am writing this review is because I feel that The Learning Zone does such a great job that they deserve the praise in a public forum such as this.
