I was Unilocaling for a place that does a good job with acrylics and uses quality gel polishes… since I know some places tend to do a poor job with a full set due to the demographic or just the salon in general. I’m super glad I stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try!
I got a full set gel polish and the lady who did my nails was super sweet! She did an amazing job and I can tell she was very careful as she painted my nails, filed them, and compared both hands to make sure all my nails were even. I love it when nail salons do that… it means they care that their customers’ nails look EVEN. So many places I have been to don’t do that and it bugs me.
My nails ended up better than I expected and would definitely be coming back!

After coming here a few more times I’ll never be back. Forgot the older lady’s name but she did such a horrible job last time. She cut my real nail when taking off acrylics causing me to bleed non stop and couldn’t even put the nail on becauSe the bleeding. Then she made every nail different lengths and shapes. Weird. Looked nothing like the photo I hd sitting out the whole time. And what the hell is with this place not doing their gel properly? Kind of annoying to look like I need a fill after two days .She was nice enough to redo the horrible uneven paint job and fix one of my nails that was completely different shape when I came back three days later. Super sweet just HORRIBLE at doing nails. That was a week ago and they look like they’ve need a fill for weeks. The two people I showed this place to have already dumped it as well for their own experiences.

I came to tips & toes with my gf. We both got deluxe mani pedi. The service was great. We don’t remember the names of our technicians, but they were very nice and friendly.
The store looked clean and sanitized. We really liked how the tools were sterile and packaged. Definitely come back and recommend to all our friends.

This place is such a good place to get your nails design and acrylic. Even when you are not satisfied, they will redo your nails to the style that you like. Love the service here. Go to Jenny and she will give you such an awesome design !!!

Worst nail shop ever, they eat on the nail desks, they are laud talking to each other, rude, their nails are gross while they are working on the customers hand with no gloves, and they would make the customers wait while they are chilling. never seen worse.

The only reason why I gave this place a five star is because Kathy took me in without an appointment. Even though I wanted Jenny to do my nails. I’m absolutely love my nail. She was extremely nice and patient with me. I will start coming to her from now on. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new nail tech

First time coming here with my friend ! It’s always nerve racking trying new places but this place is super clean inside & they did a really good job! I find it hard at some places to get the exact shape I want & my nail artist (Tam) I believe, did a really good job. I just got a basic black gel but I love it! My friends nail technician also gave her the exact shape she’s been wanting for months now! So I definitely would recommend ! :)

I got a gel manicure by Jennie and it was great. I was a walkin, she did have an appointment but they did not show up between the 10 minutes she gave them. Our conversation was good and I love the way my nails turned out, she definitely pays attention and has the best interest in your nails!
– UPDATED REVIEW: completely forgot to write this months ago. This place is NOT worth booking an appointment with for a gel manicure. They are a busy business so walk ins aren’t really a thing you’ll get. You will see chipping and the nail polish coming up from the top in a week. I paid $ 28 for my gel manicure plus designs and it was a waste of my money. ive never been back

I have not got a full acrylic set in a very long time so I was a bit nervous. I searched Unilocal and found Jenni. The reviews are ture, she is awesome. Quality work, affordable prices I drive all the way out from Newport Beach just to see her and it is worth it.

So bad, I literally walked out before she was done filing my nails. Asked for round nails and to keep my length. She starts cutting the sides (to where my nail beds are) and proceeds to do… I don’t even know what! They’re not even!!! Please hire certified people who know what they’re doing.

Recently came back for a gel manicure and the usual nail technicians were busy so someone new did my mani. the lady was nice, but the mani took a whole hour to complete, which is fine, but I can’t excuse a sloppy job. The color was uneven and the sides of the nail bed rubbed off at the end. I didn’t have the heart to tell the lady she did a horrible job and went on my way.
I did call back shortly after to reschedule for it to be fixed and appreciate the salon for apologizing and willingness to correct this. They corrected the color and were accommodating even when it was during a busy hour.

I enjoyed my experience at Tips & Toes, an establishment that was able to accommodate for a last minute mani-​pedi for two during Mother’s Day Saturday.
I showed Cathy various pictures of how I wanted my nails, and she got the shape relatively right. I think my satisfaction with my nails was a 3*, but it was Cathy’s attention to detail and willingness to really try and do a great job that made the experience (I was there for over two hours.) bearable.
When I went to check out, the price was nearly $ 10 more expensive. If you’re getting a fill, be specific on which price/​package you’re getting beforehand. or else they’ll assume you’re getting the priciest one. Other than that surprise at the end, the prices were fair and was overall a good experience.

I would’ve gave them a 5 star if Tiffany my usual technician was still there. Ever since she left, I got an older lady that wear glasses, do my manicure and she missed really far. I usually don’t leave feedback unless it’s pretty bad. She over cut my cuticles three to four fingers where when water touches it stings. The skin looks like I was sitting there biting my cuticles. Blunt chunks were missing rather than smooth subtle cuts. You could see the skin dip down on the sides of the nail rather than just be smooth across. The nails are unevenly filed, that’s after telling her to cut it shorter twice. One thumb was much longer than the other side. The experience was not relaxing, it was painfully at some points when she over cut my skin. And when she filed my nails like she was working in a warehouse, rough. No finesse.
Shop is clean and have spa chairs and TVs. Not big but good enough. Never had problem with parking.
From what I know the two younger techs (Tammy and ?) left does a good job but avoid the older ones.
Where did Tiffany go, please let me know?

I went to a different nail salon in a different area a day before I came to tips and toes. this is my first time here and my goodness Ms. Lan serviced me. I got my toes REDONE and just a new pedicure and the fact that she was so sweet and SO accommodating it was great. I told her how the last person (yesterday) cut me and she was very gentle and very proficient around that certain area. Anywho, she spoke to me and treated me very well during my first time visit. I will be coming back. The shop itself if very very cozy. Although I don’t see a drying station, I see a TV, so I don’t have to move from my seat haha. Very comfy little salon. I love the way it’s decorated. Polish bottles are very clean, and they DO NOT reuse their buffs, files or foot files. Great.
Color selection is limited from what I’m used to, but they have all the popular colors and they have a little bit of each color.

I hope this doesn’t change the next time (s) I decide to come back.

I have been trying to find a good nail place and I believe I have found it. When I got there I didn’t have an appointment so I waited about 30 minutes. It was worth the wait! They did an amazing job on my nails and they have a beautiful selection of colors. I will definitely be coming back. I recommend this place to everyone but make an appointment first!

Tammy Tammy Tammy. Remember to make an appt ahead of time. It’s a small shop and only a few workers. Prices here are affordable! There’s a limited amount of gel colors compared to other nail salons though.

Jennie knows what she’s doing! I just showed a picture of what I wanted and told her the shape I wanted and she delivered! She works quickly, precisely, and politely. Her work (w/​the more than reasonable prices) sells itself.
A word of advice: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! And be clear about what you want when you make them (i.e. Full set w/​design or just gel nails) bc she plans her time according to what you want done (full sets take longer, as do designs). This place gets busy so don’t blame them if they can’t fit in walk-​ins.
Another perk and plug: this place is in the same plaza as Taco Grill!!! I love that taco place and was super stoked to find that it was so close! Now you can get your perfect nails done, then get a perfect meal/​snack after, win/​win

I just came back from my first time at Tip & Toes, and I have nothing but satisfaction. I loved the salon and how they’re decorated — very cozy & elegant.
The ladies are very friendly & attentive.
I had Jennie work on my gel manicure, and I gotta say that the girl is awesome! Her work is flawless, and she always makes sure I feel satisfied with the work before moving on to the next step.
I’m very VERY very picky when it comes to trimming my cuticle (because I have a lot and I HATE it!) and NOT having the tip of the gel polish getting on my skin (because it will lift). Jennie understood, and here is proof! :)

Came in today for an acrylic full set with gel and I am so blown away by how much effort and time Tammy spent on my nails!!!
Everything from the acrylic building and shaping my nails… She made sure I liked every step. I am super picky about the coffin shape and she got it right on point (: *tears*
Definitely coming back for a fill or full set again, this is going to be my go-​to place from now on and i’m bringing all my girls!
My full set with gel was $ 35 not bad!
