This was the quickest and smoothest experience Ive had with sugaring. Brandy is very knowledgable about what she does and about her products. she is the sweetest person & made me feel very comfortable, especially for someone as awkward as I am. I bought the groupon and scheduled an apt online, as easy as 1 2 3. Location was easy to find, plenty of parking. Her treatment room was clean

Pure Sugar is amazing! I have been to see Brandy twice and both times were exceptional. She is so friendly and makes you feel totally comfortable and at ease. The Brazilian sugaring treatment that she performs is so much better than shaving or waxing, especially for someone like me who has very sensitive skin. On my second visit, she also cleaned up my eyebrows for me and, let me tell you, my eyebrows have never looked better!!! Brandy is so knowledgable about the entire process. I highly, highly recommend paying her a visit… you will not be disappointed!

This place is wonderful! I purchased the groupon and went to check it out… Emma did my sugaring and she was so lovely! Super sweet and made me feel very comfortable. It’s always a little awkward to strip and say «hey check out my hoo-​hah!» But she made me feel completely comfortable. She kept chatting with me the whole time, which also serves as a good distraction for the pain. I was very pleased with the end result, and will definitely be back regularly!

Love love loveeee Brandy and Emma! I visited this place through a groupon the first time with Emma and after my session, she informed me my second visit would still have the groupon promotional price. I was shocked since most Brazilian sugaring locations I’ve purchased through Groupon would offer me packages deals or inform me of their original price right after my redemption. Emma was very sweet and easy to talk to. Definitely didn’t make me uncomfortable.
My second visit was with Brandy and she informed me the reason for the second promotional value is for clients to see better results. If it’s your first time sugaring, you won’t see a drastic change until maybe your second session due to the different hair cycles you have (also depends on your personal hair growth and all that). Brandy is very sweet and personal which I love. After my conversation with her, I could tell she is very big on customer service and responding in a prompt matter!
It’s taken me a long time to find a place to trust and now I do my maintenance sessions with Pure Sugar Salon because these ladies make me want to come back. I’m also big on responsiveness (I have 2 expired groupons because the sugaring studio I purchased from never returned any of my emails or phone calls…) and they also have my business because they reply within the same day.
Also, something about their small cute salon makes me feel more at home and relaxed compared to the other locations I’ve been to. Oh, and their website is very user friendly! You could book your appointments online and you’ll receive a confirmation email and then a reminder email :)

OMG OMG OMG! I have been getting sugared for 3 years now and have tried places in Austin TX, Palo Alto, and Newport Beach and I can say BY FAR THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST SUGARING IVE EVER RECEIVED!!!
Brandy was EXCEPTIONAL — so detail oriented and pain aware. She helped me with my breathing during the entire session (something no one else has done) and was super encouraging — by the end I felt like I had accomplished something? I don’t know, but it was so cool.
Let me say this: this was the least painful, quickest, and most perfect sugaring job I’ve ever received. PERFECT! Y’all I’m obsessed.

I have to say that I had to most amazing experience with Emma tonight. This was my first time getting a wax ever in my life. Not only was Emma professional she made me feel so comfortable. I thought it would be awkward and uncomfortable but no it was the complete opposite. Emma does very thorough work and is a perfectionist. Obviously yes there is some pain but you can definitely handle this. I cannot wait to come back for my second treatment with Emma. Thank you so much!

I just found my new Brazilian place! I’ve been in a constant search of a place that does sugaring and luckily I stumbled upon Pure Sugar on Groupon. I booked an appointment Brandy and was in and out in about 10 minutes! (Literally… She told me to time her)
If it’s your first time getting waxed I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend coming in. Brandy will explain exactly what she’s doing as well as tell you what to expect in the next few weeks when your hair starts growing in. Amazing! I can’t rave enough! I even have my next appointment book.

I can’t say enough about Emma. This was my first experience with sugaring… Emma helped me to relax and was extremely professional. I was blown away! Thank you so much… I can’t wait to go back!

Brandy is amazing.
I went in for sugaring for the first time and she explained it all very thoroughly.
I had not had a bikini wax in over 8 years, so needless to say I was not an easy client for her. She handled me with kind words and she worked fast. (In and out in less than 20 minutes)
Sugaring is so much better than waxing, no redness or irritation and the results are beautiful!!! I will be going to her for a facial after reading these other great reviews.

Brandy! Good at what she does, informative, friendly, and QUICK. Prices are reasonable and «sugaring» is a whole different concept and technique which in my opinion makes hair removal a lot less painful than waxing or plucking.

Oh my heavens! I just finished my first facial talk about a wonderful experience. Brandy is amazing! It is hard to pin point my favorite part of this experience. Throughout the facial she shared with me what she was putting on my face and how it would feel. The product felt amazing! I don’t think I have ever had my face feel so moisturized. I also appreciate that although my face was super dry she never pushed for me to purchase product. This is the first facial I have had where the esthetician never forced any product on me. Due to this I did buy product and she guided me to the right stuff. It’s all amazing! Can’t wait to return. Although I live in Monterey… I’m going to make sure to drive down every couple of months for this experience. It’s a true treat!

Call her sweet. Call her Queen of Unilocal.But definitely call her if you plan on getting «sugared»! Brandy is incredibly genuine, professional and very talented. It was my first experience with sugar (never been waxed either). She made me feel very comfortable and was very patient with me through the appointment. Brandy was also very informative about the sugaring process and expectations for afterward and your next visit. She is just a sweetheart!

Brandy is amazing!!! I was referred to her by my previous waxing person (her business was being relocated at the time), and now I’m staying with Brandy! She helped me prepared for my bachelorette and got me bikini ready! Then I tried her facials for my wedding and my skin was soft, glowing, and pimples were under control!!! I would honestly recommend her services!!!

You gotta love Brandy! I’ve been going to her for the past 2 years and so lucky I found her :) She’s so nice and easy to schedule with. I’ve tried regular, wax, hard wax, and sugaring at plenty of other places but it doesn’t get any better than Brandy!

Made a same day appointment using super easy to use online booking and was very happy to find Brandy was available. The studio is within «SOLA salons» which has a collection of small studio salons. Parking was a little tricky because I went around lunch and the spots in front are also shared by the restaurants in the center.
Very good experience for my second time getting sugaring done. Brandy is great with explaining the process and she works very clean and fast. I would definitely recommend her!

I’ve been a client with Brandy for a few years. I’ll go wherever she is. She is great and always makes sure you as the client are super happy. It is like getting together with your best friend and chatting it up. She helps keep your mind off the waxing which is much more bearable than other waxing places I have been. Love this lady she rocks!

Brandy is the absolute best! I have been going to her for a few years now, unfortunately when I was in a pinch I tried other estheticians, but always ALWAYS returned to her. She is always super personable and distracts you from that pain during a Brazilian. Absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a pleasant, fast, relatively pain-​free sugaring!

What can I say about Brandy that hasn’t already been said?! She truly is a treasure! I had done hard wax for a little over a year when I had seen groupons for sugaring. I had a vague idea about the benefits because my sister had been doing sugar instead of wax for quite some time. It honestly was luck that I found her because Her ad had a fun yet classy feel to it.
BEST DECISION EVER. She was so warm and inviting. I have a ton of hair and was a little embarrassed and awkward because someone new looking at my vag isn’t exactly in my «comfort zone.» She was so personable and sweet I couldn’t believe this was what I had been missing! (I used to go to a place — I won’t mention names but it begins with European and ends with Center… They are a chain for hard wax. And it was super clean but it felt like a doctors office, cold and distant. They also took 2X the time, would leave patches of hair or pull my skin when plucking :()NOT Brandy! Her place is chic, clean and comfy.
On to the sugar itself —It feels a lot like hardwax, but it hurts a lot less because the sugar paste only clings to the hair not the skin. She wears gloves and rolls the sugar (it’s sugar, lemon juice — all natural) onto the skin then after she smooths it like twice she pulls it up and the sticky paste sticks to itself. After she’s done she throws the gloves and ball of paste away. She’s a perfectionist, but quick– which is ideal for air removal.
The sugaring last two– four weeks LoNgEr for me than the hardwax. I have dark, course hair in an abundance, so if you have fine light hair, it could go even longer. I have ¹⁄₁₀₀ of the amount of ingrowns and if you have sensitive skin– try sugaring, you will never go back. It’s not painless, because no matter how you get hair out of your body (plucking, laser, waxing, sugaring) there is going to be some amount of pain, but if you reduce it significantly why not give it a try?
Can’t say enough good things about her, and highly recommend her to anyone who hates shaving, has discoloration under their arms (which is how I got into waxing in the first place. Its a more natural way of lightening your underarms.) or just wants to feel pampered!

OMG what can I say… where to begin??? Brandy is a superhuman– she’s amazing! I literally want to grow up and be Brandy. She is like the Oprah of skincare– she is the end all be all!
Ok– seriously though, she knows her stuff. I have been going to Brandy for several years and she’s always been fantastic. She is always personable, understanding, on time and makes me feel super comfortable. She knows what she’s doing– wheather it be sugaring or a customizing a facial, peel, or mask; I lay down and let her work her magic. (yes she’s so amazing she’s like a magician)! And at the end, ta da!!!
I used to have oily skin and break out at the thought of breaking out and Brandy has set me up on the right skin régime, now Im looking and feeling much more confident– we’ve taimed the oil and gotten rid of the pimples… I would even say Im looking a little more youthful. :) Thank you Miss Brandy for putting everything you’ve got into your customers– you’re the best!
