My family had a very bad experience here as we ordered wedding engagement teas, and pastries as traditional Asian weddings do. Same review as the lady below here, nothing was set when we called ahead to order. Employees were very rude and dishonest. I hate to talk bad about any business because I understand we all have families to take care off, but I felt very disrespected here. They were talking down to my family and told us we are doing everything incorrectly. Even when we came back the next day to return the lucky covers they rented out to us they still gave us attitude. This place will no longer receive my families business and I advise anyone who is getting engaged or ordering anything special to stay away if you want good customer service and quality .i would give them 0 stars if possible.

Don’t waste your money here for your wedding. They ruin my wedding. Everything was not ready, over priced, and not as promised. Please stay away!!!

I bought some moon cakes from here. Their prices are cheaper than other places.
It was very hot inside and the workers didn’t seem like they were having fun.
I arrived on a Friday (mid autumn festival is on Sunday). They have a long piece of paper that you fill out with what types of moon cake you want.
They were giving out an extra 10% off that day too.
The moon cakes came in a nice thick gift bag as well.
This place accepts credit card. Just lots of non English speakers here so be ready to bust out some Viet.
Overall, pleasant experience and will be coming back here next year.

This will be my very last time I set my foot into this bakery. I came here to help my friends order some pastries (Banh xu xue) and teas for her engagement, the old lady asked me what do I need, I told her what I came for then she immediately pointed me to the second lady. I was politely asked her how these stuffs work because I have never done this before. She said fist of all I can do whatever I want and they have different prices for it. At this point I dint even know the quantity my friend would need but I like to have the price of them so I can tell my friend. She was almost not happy when I said I will come back. She wants me to make a decision and make deposit and call back later to add more items over the phone if I need more pastries or teas. So, fine, I did it then she still not happy and complained that it’s too little but still collect my money for the order. Two days later, I called back and the old lady picked up the phone, I was trying to tell her my name and my order so she can pull up the right receipt, I told her I would like to add 4 more Banh total of 8 now. Before I finish telling her I also want to change the date to pick up, she hung up on me. I called back and said I just called earlier and also want to change the pick up date, she complained that I only order a few pastries and called so many times and again hung up on me. I told myself I dint care how good your pastries are but with this service I will never come back. Ps. This is the second time I have to deal with this store rudeness. Sorry but I won’t let it happen the 3^rd time.

They have many kind if cakes. It tastes ok.

I came in to buy a cake because Stater Bros didn’t have any cake. The frosting on this cake was cracked when I brought it out to the bday boy and when I cut the cake, the frosting completely chipped off.
The cake was nasty, I’m not sure if it was because it was old or what flavor they put into the cake mix but I couldn’t eat it. My 2 year old couldn’t eat it.
I didn’t try anything else but if they would sell something this nasty and old, I don’t think I’ll trust any of their other stuff.

I got a banh mi with chicken for $ 2.50 and it was okay. The best part was definitely the fresh out of the oven baguette, which I waited 30 minutes for — came too early for lunch at noon, apparently — my bad. So. Would I go back? Hmmm… uh, not likely.
The ups:
1. Clean, colorful space with lots of wrapped cookies to go**
2. Cool neon sign
3. Fresh baguettes (yep, they bake ‘em and you just have to wait!)
4. $ 2.50? That’s pretty good for a sandwich.
The not-​so-​ups:
1. I do not speak Vietnamese. First the lady pretended to understand my English and took my money but then I was pretty much ignored as the lone white person for a long, long time (except for a moment of «Baguette?» which I thought she meant my banh mi, which I wanted on a baguette) as I watched some woman who come in after me get her banh mi first (wha? what is this — reverse discrimination?!? Oh, it’s payback time, huh? Well, I get it. Still… how irritating.) I could have dropped into French, but what’s the use? Je né sais pas.
2. Even with the requisite toppings, the banh mi was just okay, largely because the grilled chicken was a little dry. The roof of my mouth was rather torn up by the fresh bread but that’s the price you pay. I was also afraid of being poisoned on principle, so that deterred from my enjoyment. See #1.
3. Yes, this is a bakery and it looks like they bake lots of bread and pastries… but not all the cookies, specifically the wrapped ones, some of which have «Petit Buerre» branded on them or look like suspiciously like Pepperidge Farm pirouttes. I could be wrong, but I don’t think there’s any way those could be coming out of this kitchen. Not a big deal, but it’s pretty funny.

I don’t recommend this bakery to anyone. The service here was ill– mannered, self centered, & racist.

I think this is going to be my new go-​to place for Banh Mi. There was another local place nearby that used to occupy that special spot; however, recently they fell from favor due to a certain endorsement sign in their front window. Disappointing. My suggestion to any business owner — leave politics out of your business. You’re only risking losing customers. I really don’t think placing a candidate’s campaign sign in your front window is appropriate.
Anyway. This place is a good spot for a solid, tasty Banh Mi. Plenty of filling. Not skimpy on the meat or the veggies. Good selection of both sandwiches and baked goods. Service is friendly. No candidate campaign signs in any of the windows. Prices are good. If you come here during lunch hours, watch out for parking. There are several restaurants in the same strip mall that get real busy.

The Green Tea and Banana with Strawberry are the best. They both taste very delicious. The price is a little high but still okay. The place is nice, but a little dark. The service is kinda great and there are a lot of other item

This place is good for breakfast! It’s convenient because of parking and quick in-​n-​out if you’re in a rush.

I’m a frequent customer here, so I only come here for their fresh banh mi.
I rated this place 4 Stars and here is why:
— This place sells plain Banh Mi $ 1 per baguette. They are longer than Lee’s Sandwiches and they do not get rock hard like Lee’s.
— If you buy 3 baguettes, you get 1 for free. So it’s 4 baguettes for $ 3. It’s great for a big family. They do not advertise this so it’s good to know this before stopping by here.
— Their banh mi are fresh, unlike some places. You can see they put their banh mi on a cooling rack and when I get them they are hot, crispy and soft.

I never knew what a real french croissant was till I ate one here. Flaky crusty on the outside and like fresh bread on the inside. Everytime my kids eat one people ask «where did you get that? Makes awesome croissant sandwiches. They also make excellent pastries. The sesame balls they make are to die for. Sure it is a hole in the wall but stop and taste the pastries. The only negative is they sell out quick and I miss getting what I want when I go.

Delicious iced coffee and an incredible array of low-​cost sandwiches and snacks make this place a must-​drop-​in location whenever I drive by.
Their hot dog sandwiches are delightful. Their hamming cheese rolls («ham and cheese?») are tasty.
But above all else, you must try their 5-​star worthy chicken sandwiches. These «sandwiches» are really hefty bread rolls with spiced, diced chicken sealed into the belly of the rolls. They are incredible, they are filling, and they are only like 90 cents. I’ll grab a couple dozen of these bad boys when I come by and keep them in my freezer for emergency meals. Every time I do this, the lady behind the counter gives me dirty looks and glares at me suspiciously. I think she believes I’m secretly running an underground chicken bun re-​selling business on the side. The language barrier has prevented us from explaining ourselves to each other and so our uneasy alliance continues…
If you’re in the area, you must try this place!

Came here for mooncakes since they were pretty famous for them. There is definitely a very large selection to choose from. Everything is written in Vietnamese though, but the staff seem willing to help you figure out what you want. We ordered a box for my SO’s parents and a box for ourselves. Tastewise, it’s a bit too sweet for me, but that’s how these mooncakes are. It’s very good with tea though, the paste filled ones are very smooth in consistency. They are supposed to be made fresh, but I found mold on one of ours within 2 days of purchasing =(. Also, for the ‘super fresh’ one was apparently too warm still to be saranwrapped, the staff that helped us just used his bare hands to pick up and put in our box… I certainly hope his hands were clean.
Decent mooncakes, but I don’t think they’re worth the trek for me being about an hours drive away.

Came for the banh mi and ca phe sua da, stayed for the banh mi and café sua da!
Their banh mi (vietnamese/​french baguette sandwiches) are only $ 2.00! What I really dig is that they have four different vegetarian varieties, whereas most banh mi stores only have one. They don’t skimp out either: this place actually puts cucumber in the sanwiches in addition to carrot, daikon and jalapeño, which isn’t something I’ve seen a lot.
The coffee — in particular the Vietnamese iced coffee with milk (café sua da) — is thick and rich. You have the added option of whipped cream at no cost, but the coffee itself is so creamy I usually skip it. I’ve tried their some of their coconut desserts (and they have 20+ kinds of desserts) and it was delicious. There are plenty of options here. Their prices are slightly cheaper than some places, because this is a walk-​in takeout restaurant only, located in the extreme inner corner of a dilapidated strip mall, which is the only real negative. Probably only takes cash, too. I’ve never even tried to use a debit or credit card.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
Wow…if I could give this place negative stars, I would. My aunt bought 120 engagement desserts for my cousin’s wedding and gave them out to family and friends. When my stepmom opened our desserts, she found that they were moldy and had fungus on them. My stepmom thought nothing of it and just threw them away thinking we just had a bad batch. However, she found out that her sister had the same problem.
Knowing this, my aunt went to the bakery, and they did not believe her. They said that they needed evidence. Luckily, my aunt was able to call one of her friends who had not opened hers yet and asked if hers had mold on it. Lo and behold, both of her desserts were also ruined. My aunt took them back to the bakery, and they said she would have to come back to talk to the owner in an hour. When she returned in an hour, the owner, coincidentally, was sick for the day. On top of that, the worker was very rude and unprofessional.
This place has terrible service and does not care about their products, to say the least. This definitely is not about the money. It is about the reputation of my cousin and her family since they were engagement gifts. This place was always the place to go for these desserts, but now we will never go back. I wish I had read the previous reviews about ordering from them for weddings before.

Impossibly Cute! For a moment I thought I’d walked into a Hello Kitty store by mistake; all these little shiny packages displayed in orderly rows, a one-​dollar pastel colored dreamland populated by plastic shrink wrap.
Is this the place that supplies all therice & coconut confections I spotted at Phở Quyen and Tan Huoang Huong?
As a connoisseur of cream puffs and cream filled eclairs, of course I had to try them. Do I detect actual pastry cream? Messy and unfairly tempting, that choloate éclair goodness. That however sets you back $ 1.50.
If you’re looking for lunch, they’ve got these little buns baked with meat inside. The bread tastes suspiciously like monster Hawaiian bread rolls. I kept reading on Unilocal that they’re supposed to be 2 dollars, but I could swear I was only charged one. Could it be because I came in the evening, so they gave me a discount? Bonus!
I love this place.

OMG! Bolsa I Love You. HOT DOG SANDWICH and for $ 1.50!
Bolsa is the foodie paradise! Bolsa, where the thirst of the diverse palate can finally be quenched with a treasure of delights. Bolsa, in addition to its variety of authentic Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican and Armenian/​Greek (Jack’s Bakery) food, has yet produced a new delight for me… Dong Hung Vien Bakery and their HOT DOG SANDWICH!

First it was the Baguette turned Banh Mi. Next, ahhh Café Sua Da. Now, OMG this HOT DOG SANDWICH! Sure, I have had croissants with hotdogs, corn dogs, and even spaghetti with hotdogs, but this takes the cake. This was a first for me and Dong Hung Vien was the baker.
This bad boy came piping hot out of the oven. Still warm, the baked soft flour dough cradled the buttery interior all making the perfect throne for the Hot Dog!
Where have I been to not have had this before?
~~~Bahn Mi (A-​OK)
The bahn mi here is definitely different. They are all priced at $ 2.00 except for the combo, $ 2.50. I ordered the combo (#11). The banh mi are a little smaller but the smaller size is outweighed by the freshness and quality of the bread and veggies. The bread was perfect! It probably was just baked. It was totally a different style. The Pâté was flavorful. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. The only downside was that the other meats were a little dry.

This place has several of bakery and food to go items in the morning. Various drinks, dried fruits and other desserts.
Ok, so I came here at about 6AM. The hostess found my awkward sounding Vietnamese funny. She was very light hearted and I suppose she found my visit entertaining. She did speak a little English. However, any gaps in communication were over the minute she offered me the Hot Dog Sandwich! She also suggested the BBQ pork banh mi. She said it was the best. Stupid me opted for the combo. How could she be wrong about the pork, if she was so right about the hot dog sandwich?
If this Hot Dog Sandwich has been around, it is new for me! The way it was prepared is second to none. Especially piping hot out of the oven!
Nice little Bakery, Plenty of Parking and the Hostess in the morning is a delight!
