Description

Specialties

We specialize in typical Italian cuisine. Every dish is made when you order it using ingredients of the highest quality. All our food is completely fresh and we have an extensive wine list focusing on Italian wines.

Santino Coccia, the chef and co-owner, is from Milan and has been cooking for over 20 years. John Borghetti, co-owner, is an Italian sommelier and has been running restaurants for over 20 years.

We have new specials everyday, often including an Oven-Baked Chilean Seabass, Short Ribs braised for four hours in a red wine sauce, Linguini Pescatora in a light tomato sauce with mussels, clams, halibut, seabass, shrimp, scallops and salmon, and Fritto Misto which is fried calamari, scallops, shrimp, salmon and halibut.

History

Established in 2008.

Both John and Santino started working together in 1986, when John opened the first Farfalla Trattoria in Los Feliz. This Farfalla has been running strong since then, and about ten years ago Santino became a part of John’s Galleto Bar & Grill, an Italian-Brazilian restaurant also located in Westlake Village. A few years ago they opened a wine bar (Vinoteca) and a brazilian restaurant (Tropicalia) in Los Feliz, located at the other end of the block from Farfalla. Given the opportunity and with the success of the other restaurants, they were excited to open a larger Farfalla in the Westlake Village Promenade, with a more expansive menu and wine list.
