I stopped coming to this Baja Fresh two years ago. I found the Thousand Oaks store owned by a wonderful woman named Jackie was better. I decided to try it again today after hearing that a new franchisee had taken over this location. Sadly, nothing has changed. Although we orders four dinners at the same time, they came to us in shifts over 10 minutes. Their chicken torta sandwich advertises fresh avocado, but they use their guacamole they make each morning. Chips were cold on this visit. The order taker refused to accept a money mailer app coupon saying it needed to be printed out. The online coupon clearly said show to cashier.

This place needs a make over. Best staff member was cleaning up trash and sweeping floor. I think manager must be asleep somewhere or needs glasses. Food was okay but I was distracted by so much poor housekeeping of restaurant. Seats ripped, rust stains on floor from chairs, marks on walls, vents covered in dust and ceiling tiles missing

Not quite sure what has happened with this restraunt by I’ve lost my taste for this Baja Fresh. First the girl who took my phone order was unprofessional. Kept asking me to speak up, she couldn’t hear me over the music in the restraunt. The food was ready in 10 minutes, great service from that point, but the food was only luke warm, disappointing. Would not accept a coupon from my phone! Wanted me to print it off and bring it in. Any company that does not take a coupon off phones now a days is behind the ball. Accounting practices or not when we live in a time were we are trying to save our resources printing on paper doesn’t cut it. The salsa bar dirty and not stocked, look like nothing had been refreshed since lunch. I have many other viable choices for fast Mexican food. Baja Fresh Westlake just isn’t part of these choices any longer. Sad to see this business go down.

What’s with bad reviews? I’ve been coming here every week and the staff is always friendly, the wait time is minimal and it’s never crowded here. As far as the food goes, I’ve never been to a better Baja Fresh restaurant that does it better than the Baja Fresh in Westlake Village. 5 stars undoubtedly

The last time I came here I ordered the Burrito Ultimo and it should of came with a really good amount of grilled veggies, freshly made salsa baja, jack & cheddar cheese, baja rice & sour cream and chicken. I opened it up and it had 1⁄3 of that inside. The only thing worth getting at this establishment is the guacamole & chips because it comes with fresh ripe avocados, garlic, lime juice, salsa and roma tomatoes. Served with freshly made tortilla chips. They also need to up the portion sizes of their fish entrees because they are way to small of portions. I mean come on they say this«Line caught fire-grilled Wahoo(Ono) topped with sliced fresh avocado, shredded cabbage, freshly made pico de gallo and avocado salsa». It sounds delicious but it barely has any fish in it.

Don’t recommend… I visit this location because it’s my mom’s favorite fast food restaurant and it’s close to my house. I order from there all the time and I ordered shrimp tacos last night. Not only did I ask for black beans but they gave me pinto beans but I also asked for cheese, and I didn’t get any cheese. After calling that night and the next morning, the managers finally gave me a store credit. I came in the next day to get the same shrimp tacos that I had ordered last night and expected it to be correct. They got me the black beans but, of course, forgot the cheese. Not only that, the employee that handed me my order for the second time had a huge attitude. Probably because she was the same employee that had taken my order the night before. I’m really disappointed.

DONOTRECOMMENDTHISLOCATION We usually go to this baja fresh and today we ordered take out 2 times. The second time we were dissapointed with the same dish we always get. The meat was over cooked and the vegetables were under cooked. When we called and spoke to the manager he kept telling us that he checked the food and it was fine. It was not fine that’s why we called. This manager is really not interested in customers. HISRESPONSEWASTHATWECOMPLAINEDBEFORE. We complaned one other time within 3 years of comming here. So i guess we reached our limit of complaints according to this manager. I guess they reached their limit of bad food.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The mango salsa tasted like mango purée. The green salsa tasted the same. Bad customer service. Everyone is talking in the back. And they made my burrito wrong!!!

I ordered the steak nachos and after taking two bites out of the steak I threw it all out! I don’t know what it was but the steak tasted disgusting. Maybe it was old or had been sitting out too long before cooking. I couldn’t bare the taste of it at all … I would not recommend ordering steak

great service and great portions… always happy to come to this location. Most other Baja’s need to compare themselves to this place. Very loyal customers here, due to their service.

This place has improved quite a bit! Fresh food made to order, fresh and clean salsa bar. Happy to write a 5 star review. Just had the chicken Baja bowl light on the rice. It’s filling so lasted for lunch and a snack 20 min later. Nice work, keep it up.

Fast service and the food is fresh, just what I need to get me out of the cubicle blues. The restaurant is always clean and tidy and salsa bar stocked. They have Cholula and Tapatio, which is great as I prefer the Cholula.

Yummy. .Love Baja fresh. Went there on my lunch break. This is the first time I have tried their grilled shrimp cilantro lime salad. Loved it. So fresh and flavorful and healthy. Nice big portions. Of course fresh salsa and chips makes all the difference.

***ABSOLUTELYAWFULFOODQUALITY*** ***FOODNOTEDIBLE*** ***STEERCLEAR*** I came here a week ago on a hot Sunday afternoon. I ordered a chicken taco with chips and guacamole. A very simple order, right? This Baja Fresh managed to mess it up somehow. I took one bite of the chicken taco and had to throw it away. The meat was gummy and the vegetables were stale. The chips were heavily salted and a little soft for some reason. The guacamole was average at best. I was in the area for a wedding so I’m not sure what else is around here, but I would save your money and stay away from this place.

One of my longtime favorite brands. Baja Fresh has gone through so many ownership changes. The original owner/creators Jim? did a great job. It was taken over by a group led by a man named Greg Dollarhide who pushed it even further and it was the king. They sold it to Wendy’s and that was the beginning of a slide to the bottom until just recently. The new owners are trying but Store 2 in Westlake Villsge is just hit or miss. Management needs to take a look at this store and it could be 5 Star.
