Been here 50 plus times over many years and only once my order was screwed up, which they quickly corrected. Really good food, prepared quickly. Good staff as well and they seem to hire good people. Highly recommend this location.

I haven’t had a Philly since I worked at a Jersey Mikes during my golden years. My son had never had one in his 3 years of eating, so we landed here tonight. Between the rain, wind, and all the onions I diced today, we went thinking 5 stars, but not complete junk. It’s right by my house so that’s great. The staff was SUPER nice, also great. My sandwich was so good(BBQ) a pair of tiny hands stole the second half in lue of his chicken. … I told him to get a Philly, kid thinks he’s some kind of culinary expert at 3 ordering chicken at a cheesesteak shop. The meat seemed pretty decent(looking at you j. mikes) for a sandwich shop and the chicken is antibiotic free(always a good business move). My only complaints– The bathroom wasn’t very clean and the knife didn’t get wiped off between sandwiches. The knife-wipe may not be company policy? However, I didn’t like seeing that. Thanks for dinner ya’ll, Mr. Tiny hands approves!

Cheesesteaks and fries are delicious. You can’t go wrong. The rolls are soft and chewy, the meats and cheeses are hot and melty. And very filling. But… 2 cheesesteaks, 2 fries, 2 drinks = 23.00??? Come on.

I visited this establishment for the first time over the weekend. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! Fresh baked bread and great flavor inside. Fresh cut fries and a great location on westerville Rd. /state St. The only thing that I seen wrong was the bathrooms need an upgrade as they just seem a little lost in time and do not match the rest of the building. Small gripe over an otherwise great visit.

First time at this location, and it was awesome! Their menu is a little hard to understand though — They have a section that has the price of their classic sandwich meals, and then there is a section that shows what classic sandwiches there are. The section are separated, so it’s a little difficult for first time people to understand what’s going on. The staff is super friendly, and really accommodating. I am a person who loves everything except the kitchen sink on their sandwiches, while my husband is a minimalist. they were able to cater to both of our tastes as well as our daughters. Only thing that sucks is that they do not have a dedicated parking area, so it was a bit confusing to figure out where we could park.

I had never been to a Steak Escape before, but a cheesesteak sounded good and I was in the area. I just went through the drive-thru, so I can’t tell you much about the inside. What I can tell you is that that was a darn good cheesesteak. I’m from Eastern PA, I’ve had my share of philly cheesesteaks — in Philly. The Steak Escape classic was the best I’ve had outside Pennsylvania. They actually had Cheez Whiz sauce on it! People, you can try to glamorize the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, but if you’re on South Street in Philly and you order a cheesesteak, it’s damn sure not going to have fancy stuff on it, it’s going to be greasy fried steak and cheez whiz, and it will be very tasty. Thank you, Steak Escape for bringing me back to PA for a few minutes. It was very good.

Steak Escape is located in the same shopping plaza as Roush Hardware. It appears to be in a relatively new building but the back door is really the front door if you know what I mean. I visited their web sit before I came bit it was less than useful. It listed neither the sizes of the sandwiches nor the prices. But I came up anyway and I’m glad I did. I ordered the small size of their regular sandwich and that was fine. Along with that I got an order of fries and those were good but they were all piled into a container that was too small to hold them. In any event the sandwich was great and the fries tasted okay. But a couple of negatives: An employee who turned out to be the store manager went out for a smoke break in the drive in front of the restaurant. This looked like hell! The stores windows hadn’t been washed in months, or thats how dirty they were. They put these tiny little cups out for ketchup. I had to use four of them to even make a dent in it. Anyway, the food was okay but I wonder how much mor business they’d be doing if the cleaned up the rest of those items.

Best place to get a Philly Cheese Steak sub. I’ve ordered this sandwich in big name resturant’s before and it’s never as good as the one I get at Steak Escape. I’m even from Philly and grew up eating Steak sandwich’s. It’s nice and fresh.

I wrote on my Facebook page that I only eat meat I kill myself. Today I killed two Philly Cheesesteaks(one immediately, one for lunch two days later). I read the other reviews before I went inside to order. My cheesesteaks were just as I requested and from order time until I was out the door was six minutes. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Typical food court type cheesesteak joint — Cheesesteaks, fries and a drink. A little bit pricey, but the bread, cheese and meats were good. I had no problem with the wait although it was busy inside. They had the A/C cranked and ceiling fans on high making for a very breezy dining room. But we were’nt there long enough for it to be an issue. Tip — IMO Best cheesesteak in town is at Rusty Bucket.
