John’s Barber Shop

Another six months gone by, another haircut. My hair is shorter. It has also begun turning grey or gray, whichever is the proper spelling for that word. Are they both acceptable? English is such a strange language. Anyway, they did another nice job here, so I’ll pretty much keep coming here until I’m bald and don’t need haircuts anymore.

I stumbled upon this place last night as I had just shipped a package at the nearby UPS store and was looking for a quick haircut. Apparently this place has been around for 40+ years but I had never noticed it before, but then I’ve only been in Westerville for 5 years so… After ascertaining that they were not busy I was able to get in at 6:40, or 20 minutes before close, for a quick trim as I was in a hurry because I had a large amount of grocery shopping to do that evening.
Lisa introduced herself and I was able to get seated and explain to her what I was looking for. She took the time to go over it with me to ensure she knew exactly what I was talking about. Throughout the course of the haircut we talked and talked about various things, Lisa gave me some nice hair care tips and my haircut turned out exactly how I wanted it to.
I thanked Lisa and gave her a nice tip and was out the door about 7:05 and on my way. Very happy that I finally found a great shop close to home that cuts my hair like I like, isn’t overly expensive and has someone very friendly to speak with to make the process go a little quicker. I will definitely be back.
