Best Mechanic ever… Honest and Reasonable. There are so many other shops in our area, but it is worth driving a little out of our way…

I first went to this A Plus Auto Service when I received a coupon from them in the mail. I thought the owner was very nice and felt the service was good as well. Since then I have gone back once for another oil change and felt the same way. Although this third time was a little different. I called him yesterday asking if I could make an appointment to get my oil changed in which he informed me he works on a first come first serve basis. Taking this into consideration, I, being a college student, had to race home from class to make it to the shop before he closed at 5pm. I made it there with easily 15 minutes to spare. As I was driving in on the long driveway up to his shop I saw him and what looked like a friend of his chatting it up at the AC/​Heater car shop next door to him. I thought this was a good sign meaning they wouldn’t be busy. There also didn’t appear to be any cars in the shop nor customers (of course because he was talking next door). He received a phone call as I walked up which I patiently waited for, understanding it was an automotive question or pertaining to his business, but also knowing it was taking up time. He held the call after a few minutes and I told him I needed an oil change and he said he didn’t have time to get to me today. Of course I was upset because I had rushed there and made it with 15 to spare and I realize and oil change would take more than 15 minutes but I was more so disappointed with the fact that he wasn’t willing to stay 5 or so mins longer at his own shop to help a customer. I got the hint that he just did not want to and would rather continue his chat with his friend. The whole thing seemed unprofessional to me and I think if someone is not going to take appointments they should be a little more flexible when a customer comes needing a quick oil change. Anyways, I will be going someone else now.

Hidden Gem in West Sacramento. I found this place on accident and glad I did .The owner is honest and I will definitely go back for all my repairs. My alternator went out and he fixed it on Christmas eve. I drove down Jefferson looking for a spot, and because it was Christmas eve the other places wanted to charge triple what he did. That’s how I know integrity is the core of his business. He was honest, efficient, and fair priced. This shop is hidden in the back but worth a good game of hide and seek !

I moved to West Sacramento and had little experience with mechanics out this way. I have had my shocks on my Odyssey and brakes changed here. I’ve got nothing but positive experience. The owner is an honestly good guy to work with. He tells it like it is so if there is unnecessary repairs, he will tell you. I’m cautious about any work done to my cars so usually I have had the dealer do my oil changes once in awhile so I get a thorough inspection of my car before I bring it to this shop for a 2^nd opinion. Rates are reasonable and the work gets done on time.
Anyone who says A Plus Auto Service is not doing a good job needs to inspect their own car and check the work done by previous shop first before giving a verdict. Sometimes other shops do a shoddy job, even the dealerships. I highly recommend this shop to everyone.

Just had my power steering pressure hose replaced. It feels like my car runs smoother now, the guy was really cool about everything. He gave some useful advice for the future repairs I’ll need and he didn’t try to play me by saying there’s a lot of stuff wrong with my car unlike some other places I’ve gone to.
He’s also the only person that’d do a repair on my Acura CL. Prices are great, cool guy, I definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of repairs.

I don’t know about this place. The owner seems like a nice enough gut. But I think that his work needs a lot to be desired. He did some work for me that failed within 6 months. His response was, well sometimes the parts are faulty. I don’t want to be specific because I like the guy and I really don’t want him to get mad at me if he were to really know who I was by revealing the actual work. Anyway, I had to pay to have the same job done again, he did say he would do if for free if it happend again. There was a couple other times though where he did som kind of shoddy work. On time, he left some nuts loose on the particular work. I just tightened them up. but I shouldn’t have to do that. One other time, he suggested that I replace my shocks. he didn’t know that I had just replaced them 6 months ago. I think he didn’t know that I actually know a lot about wroking on cars. Its just that at my age, its worth more to me to pay someone to do the work than for me to get under the car. I like the kid, I just don’t trust him after that last comment about my shocks. I think he was trying to get some extra work out of me. Use caution is all I say.

I am so very very glad i was told about A Plus Auto Service. I read 6 glowing reviews on a neighborhood web site and i will NEVER go any place else. Blade was honest, helpful, knowledgeable and quick… his prices are (honestly) the best around… i will continue to recommend him to EVERYONE… and you will too once you go.

I’ve been having A Plus take care of my car since I bought it over a decade ago. They have given reliable service, friendly advice, and a reasonable price over the years. They moved to a location with less traffic, further down Jefferson, so I hope some positive reviews can help bring them more attention and allow me to return the favor for the mechanical support they’ve provided me.
I plan to continue to use A Plus when I replace my car.

Good new mechanic in West Sacramento. Had my car serviced there a couple times, minor things. Decent prices, seems to be a one man show, had trouble recently putting in a new headlamp, (hands just a little too big and this was an HHR which are notorious for headlight replacement) and he got it right in and didn’t charge me anything.
